Definitely worth the hike down and back up. A real highlight in Saipan. But if you have a disability (broken foot, elderly, etc.), this place is not accessible.

Beautiful sheltered beach. There is a two track road to a trail you can take to get down. The currents between the beach and the island can be DEADLY so its not a good swimming beach. There is also wash up from the Pacific Trash mass so it is not the cleanest. It is still worth seeing though and there is not a ton of traffic there.

Nice but dangerous place. Be careful. Waves are deadly strong.

This is one of the most scenic spots on Saipan. Your trip is not complete without a picture of yourself with Bird Island in the background. Yes, there are thousands of nesting birds on the island, but you typically don't see them unless you actually hike out to the island.

You can park near the sign here and walk to the side. It's not difficult, but there are no fish.

I was driving a two-wheeler on a rainy day and almost got stuck in the mud and couldn't get out. We recommend parking your car where there is a sign for the trail entrance and walking. If you have trekking shoes, wear them! It takes about 6 minutes to walk to the beach one way! There's a cave next to the beach, so it's good to avoid the rain, and it takes some pretty pictures, so it's worth a visit :)

Bird Island has beautiful scenery 😍 The hiking trail requires some rope work and is especially slippery during the rainy season but still overall worth the trek.

Hard to find. A bit of an intense hike down (Make sure to wear good shoes). Very worth it though. Beautiful beach and not a place you'll find many tourists, only locals and some wildlife (terrestrial and non).

If you go a little further towards Bird Island Observatory from the point where it diverges from The Grotto, it is convenient to park your car at a place where you can see the Bird Island Hike Trail sign and walk. Driving is not a good choice, especially on rainy days. After walking for 5 minutes, the off road ends, and if you carefully walk down next to the small information board for about 8 minutes, you will arrive at the beach. It's a good place to take pictures, but it's not as great as I expected as a place to play in the water or rest in the shade.

You can't even enter an SUV. It's okay. The road is muddy and you can't get out, so go straight to Saeseom Observatory.

πŸ‘ There is a small island called Bird Island in the eastern part of Saipan. If you are lucky, you can use the telescope on the observation deck on the shore to clearly see that there are many different kinds of birds on the island. But this is luck. If you are not lucky then you can only see the is...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ I highly recommend this old radar. The paint chips are plentiful and very delicious. They peel with an ease, for a nutritious treat on a hot summers day.
