First visited the original in the late eighties in a large living room above a Mexican restaurant in Roppongi I think this is the fourth or fifth location and whilst the band members have changed the music and energy hasn’t. The current band is very talented with some excellent players what I liked was that the singers altered giving a larger repertoire. As you’d expect Friday was pretty busy but a great way to end an evening Highly recommended

Dave is an absolute beast of a host and entertainer. Had a true ROCK experience with a wide variety of music and drinks. Wonderful time! I thought he was the owner he was so passionate about the customer experience. Wonderful evening brought back memories of the 80s rock era. Unforgettable.

The house band is amazing, and they interchange members throughout the night which gives them the ability to do a bunch of songs RIGHT. The band also serves the drinks in between sets. Really fun! Fantastic musicians. We arrived during a Queen set, and stayed on through until the venue closed. One of the guests played the most beautiful version of Stairway to Heaven that I've ever heard.

My wife found this bar on a whim. All the locals were asking us how since apparently it’s an underground place. Worth the price of admission, Bauhaus is doing everything in their power to keep rock alive in their corner of Tokyo. The staff were all nice and most of them perform. It was awesome seeing Japanese business men and women in their 60s rocking out like they probably did in their youth. All the talent were amazing and talented. Truly our favorite Live House/bar on the planet!! I've been going to the Bauhaus since 1995 and it has gotten better & better over the years. We've introduced over 50 friends & family to Bauhaus and it NEVER disappoints. The staff/musicians aren't just fun - their musical talents are STELLAR!! The playlists always get me out of my seat and singing along. Sadly we don't live in Japan anymore, but can't wait to get back for a visit - it's safe to say that Bauhaus is one of the things we miss most about Tokyo!

What an absolute blast! If you’re a rock enthusiast, you’re 100% missing out if you don’t come here. Incredible live performances at 5 different intervals throughout the night, and just about every person that performed on stage chipped in as a food server / bartender as well, so you can tell they really care about the bar as a whole. They also allow requests as well - rocking out to Cochise was one of the highlights of my trip! Band members also willingly intermingle with the crowd and were universally friendly. I had planned on nightclub hopping starting at around 9 but had too much fun here to leave. Cover charge is a decent chunk of change but think of it as paying for an intimate rock concert and all of a sudden it’s a bargain.

I regret not finding out this place before! It almost feels like a different world with all these friendly, passionate, talented people making awesome music and running a great bar at the same time. I went alone to Bauhaus and at first I was anxious about whether I made the right decision. But when the musicians greeted me warmly and helped me get comfortable, I knew I would have a good time. The band starts playing after 8 PM and continue until 11 PM with three breaks in between that lasts for around 15 mins each. The vibe of the club is welcoming, inclusive, and friendly. There were people from all over the world, including locals. I am in awe of every musician who performed - they are immensely talented and outgoing and also very sweet and friendly. I left Bauhaus feeling happy and fulfilled. Just FYI, you have to pay 3900 JPY to enter and that includes one token for one drink. While at first I felt the club was a little claustrophobic and smelly, during the gig they cracked open a window and there was some fresh & cool air - which I was grateful for! The bottom line is, if you visit, you will have a great time after 8 PM and maybe even make a new friend or two.
