Simply the best South-Indian food I have had. It's not an exaggeration. Creative, tasty and healthy dishes with several side dishes to go along. With a menu in which one wants to try everything. High quality and super taste hits on the first bite itself. Many never heard of dishes and desserts on the menu. Pleasant, cozy, neat and quiet ambience. A small hidden gem of a restaurant in Rishikesh that everyone should try.

You can not get a South Indian restaurant as close to south India than Anna’s Mess. Kishor (owner) a software engineer by profession came from Pune and fell in love with Rishikesh during lockdown. He wished to start a South Indian restaurant with authentic dishes in reasonable price. I will totally recommend this place to anyone in Rishikesh who is looking for a cheap wholesome meal. Come to Anna’s Mess once.

We visited Anna's Mess for breakfast. The host and staff was very friendly. It was nice to hear their journey of bringing South Indian food for people in Rishikesh. Food is amazing and affordable. We had Ghee podi dosa, Onion Tomato Uthapam and filter coffee ☕ Highly recommend this place for people visiting Rishikesh 🙂

Anna's mess is a place I stumbled upon by chance while walking down the lanes in Tapovan. The place got me intrigued as I am a big fan of authentic south indian food - and boy is this place bang on or what?! Lovely, simple ambience, mouth watering food, impeccable service and the staff always has a smile! Highly recommend their Podi Idlies and Dosas. Do not miss this!

Amazing food as per the reviews. Had a 50% discount on all menu items today because of Raksha Bandhan. Excellent service by Kishor, who spoke English well, gave great recommendations and was very accommodating. They accept card payments. Beautifully and thoughtfully designed setup of three areas; outside, under a roof and AC. Will definitely be back!

Super delicious dosas, uttapam & amazing spiced ice coffee with homemade coconut milk! Also possible to order everything vegan. And extremely friendly staff. 10/10 on all counts, highly recommend!

Now this is an authentic South Indian place to be. They serve super delicious and heartwarming food. We had breakfast here 2 times while we were in Rishikesh. To order : 1. Beetroot Dosa 2. Fresh Coconut Milk 3. Ragi Onion Uttapam However, of the above, all the other dishes we tried (ghee roast, mini podi idli) were good too. No complaints whatsoever. Would love to visit them again.

Guys, honestly, this is the best restaurant in India :D the food they make is incredible, the vibe inside is so nice and chill, the amazing people working there are so helpful and kind...everything is flawless :))) I recommend trying everything on the menu ;) because it is all so good!! I ate there everyday (sometimes twice) during my stay in Rishikesh. It's hard to believe that the best south Indian food is served in the Himalayas! Bon appetit everybody! 🙏

The food is delicious, very fresh and very tasty. Also really affordable. One of my favorite places in Rishikesh ! Staff is so nice, special thank you to Aman who has been so kind :) I definitely recommand this place !

This is a very pocket friendly authentic south indian place. Mini idly with ghee and sambhar was great. I had two plates. Do ask for the podi this was mild and tasty. They make their vada fresh, my mom liked their dahi vada a lot. Their plain dosa was bit dry but their burnt garlic flavoured dosa was very good. If you are asking for rasam rice do ask for milder spicy, we found it bit higher. Overall good healthy south indian food. The proprietor is a energetic young chap and lots of place to park the vehicle.

I think they give the best dosas in Rishikesh. Very big and tasty. Service is good. South indian coffee was also not bad. I have to give special mention to their courtyard, silent and wonderful. Last but not least to mention is that my wife's name is also Anna and she also has a mess in her head sometimes.

A must try South Indian restaurant at Rishikesh, Authentic & Delicious Food. Don't go by the name, it gives you a proper Pondicherry Cafe types vibe. The staff is quite humble and helpful. Though the menu prices are on a higher side, it is because they get their spices directly from the South as told by the Restaurant Manager. Rest assured the prices won't bother you once you taste the food. It's totally worth the price considering Rishikesh's reputation of tourism & the cost of living over here.

Honestly, this is my favorite South Indian Restaurant in RISHIKESH, INDIA! I’ve tried everything, and absolutely love everything! Not only is the service so good, the crew treats you with genuine love and respect, and I really appreciate that! So let’s talk about the food! This place has it all! Calm peaceful vibe, tucked in a cozy place with a yard full of plants and trees; Delicious dosas (one of the best I have had in my life!) and warm (and the BEST) filter coffee that just takes you right back to South India! And not to mention, the hosts are very kind and welcoming! Good vibe, food and people! Must visit!

By far the best food I’ve had since being in Rishikesh for 6 days. The dosas are so delicious and are all served with a selection of wonderful fresh chutneys. They also have fresh coconut milk delicately flavoured with cardamom. The nicely designed restaurant is very clean and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Just wish we’d discovered it sooner. Highly recommended.

Such a lovely experience me and my family had. We had dinner as well as breakfast. We ordered dosas and vada but my absolute favourite was Rose Milk. Reminds you of Chennai in every way. I'm from South India but I live in Uttrakhand. Getting good South Indian food is very rare, mainly Appam with coconut milk, kothu parotta. But this place has it all. The staff are very polite and has a good vibe. Must try place in Rishikesh. Just one thing, hope they decrease the prices a bit.
