horrible service the water bottles are just reused and filled with tap water. Was served a disappointing portion of chicken (which we did not eat). cups and dishes weren't cleaned properly since we've seen there were some stains on it. lamb kebab was just lamb fat barely any meat. didn't even want to eat there after being treated like a dog so I asked for a refund and they said 'what's wrong with the food?' and didn't give a refund. Everything's wrong with everything there. surprised this place has 4.2 stars, all the 5 star reviews are bots. Forgot to take a photo because I was in a rush to get out of there. He begged us to give him a 5 star review disgusting. May he get what he deserves

The owner Elchin is very friendly and knowledgeae! Lovely piti and homemade brownie cake. Even the qatig is organic. Service is wonderful and so is the ambiance. Easy to find.

We had a wonderful dining experience, the owner is himself managing and cooking. He was fully accommodative of our special requests. Knowing of our origins and preference of spicy food, brought sprinkle over spices.

Loved the hospitality of Elcin! Thank you for having us today. One of the best place to taste sac among many other traditional dishes. We enjoyed your knowledge of history and your tasty food. Hope to come back here soon.

Host is very nice and hospitable but definitely took advantage of us being foreigners. We ordered 2 single cups of tea and he served us with the entire tea set - seemingly complimentary - but then received the bill to be charged for every single item on the table, including things like spicy ketchup with our main meal which we did not ask for. Prices are definitely high in comparison to many other local places - the highest we’ve pid for any meal we’ve had, even in Baku. Nice seating and location but be weary.

TOURIST TRAP ALERT: Good location and very friendly owner. But the prices are EXTREMELY high. It offers the most expensive piti in the city (11 manat). Other top places were charging 6 to 8. The piti was good but nothing special and had a small size. The other dishes were a disappointment. The lamb kebab was toasted and dry. And their dolmas were tiny and tasteless. They didn't have ice at the restaurant so we drank an overpriced drink totally warm. The total price was 42 manat for 2 people, more than enough to have a good meal at a very good restaurant in Baku. Service was really slow (more than 25 minutes to serve a kebab) and they charge you a 16% service fee. Friendly owner has to improve his business otherwise this place shouldn't be part of your plans.

Very nice atmosphere and food. The owner speaks English. He is very kind. We ordered Piti that is really delicious. Their home made chocolate cake was too good. Highly recommend.

Very friendly owner with good English language skills. But the food was nothing special, amounts of dishes were very small and the total price for the dinner was much higher then anything we had in this country so far, although food quality wasn't any better. Even the bread was not fresh, although there is a bakery just 100m away. There are much better places downtown.

Delicious food and friendly host. I tried their Piti and I can say they’re definitely No. 1 Piti House in town.

Amazing food, cute setting and GREAT service. I tried the local manqal piti and plum salad. Delicious! The owner sat down and told me about local history. It was a truly great experience.

I don't recommend this place! I was led there after I asked in the Khans house where to best eat P'ti in Sheki. The prices there are way overpriced. P'ti shouldn't cost more in then 4-7 Manat per portion in Sheki. At Sultan place they cost 9 Manat. The bread (which I didn't order) was charged extra and the service yet another 15%. 9 Euro for only mediocre/ not tasty food is a shame..this place shouldn'tbe allowed to operate. Please don't eat there! In Sheki there are far better restaurants.

Sultan House resturant in Sheki is the best local food restaurant. I stayed here in sheki for 5 days and made sure to eat atleast one meal here daily. Piti, qazan kebab, lule kebab, plum salad so on and so fourth. Every menu item is out of this world. Owner is very sweet and friendly as well. Whenever come here in sheki, make sure to visit this place.

Fabulous restaurant! The food is delicious, with good portion sizes, and excellent, courteous service! The owner is wonderfully kind and friendly, and made us feel welcomed. Try the homemade chocolate cake if it's available!

Highly recommend Sultan House - the best Piti in town! The chef uses beef instead of lamb, which really makes a difference. He even showed us how to eat it properly. The host is wonderful and extremely welcoming, he also speaks good English. Try the homemade chocolate cake made by his wife!

A very nice place, with a fascinating and very friendly owner. A lot of the food has special touches that he or his wife put into the dishes as a personal touch. The piti is great and is made with beef rather than lamb, for example. The tea is delicious and has roses in it. And the chocolate cake is homemade by his wife. The restaurant has a very nice garden you can eat in. I only had a taste of the plum salad, but it was very unique. It looks safe for foreigners watching out for thin skinned fruit to eat (its composition is closer to a plumb preserve than slices of fresh plumb, but it tastes more like a salad). If you get a chance to talk with the owner, take it - he has a masters degree in Ottoman history in Kiev, and knows quite a lot about the history of the region and the world in general.

Excelent service from the owner. We were looking for a restaurant late at night and the owner accommodate us and adapt his menu to offer vegetarian options. You can not miss his wife deserts! Delicious! Very recomendable. Thank you Sulta House

We stumbled upon here while walking and we were so happy to find this place! The owner, Ercin is highly knowledgable and spends time explaining the cultural and gastronomical history of the town. He is also very attentive and really enjoys what he does. You’re not paying for a meal you’re paying for a gastronomic experience. He even pointed us to the Khan Mosque when we wanted to explore further. Definitely try the piti and homemade cake!

Very good food and service. Owner will suggest dishes for you if he is out of one you wanted. It is okay if one menu item has sold out because it means everything is fresh made every day. My favorite was the trout, it was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Dushbara broth made with saffron was incredible as well. And the rose tea is the perfect tea to go with every meal. But yes, prices are high, I think trout was 15ish manat which is very high for a small fish.

Friendly service and very good food. The piti was delicious…definitely worth trying. Went back for breakfast the next morning and had a good and simple breakfast with a fine cup of coffee. Gentlemen who served is charming and personable and I enjoyed our conversation.

It's a lovely restaurant with a nice garden. Thanks to the owner. We spent an interesting time with him talking about his country and traditions. He cooks himself and her wife does the traditional cakes and sweets.

Noone speak English, Russian, nothing, only Azeri. Prices are like in Norway, or Sweden, super high. Be prepared to pay 10euro for basic breakfast, staff seems to be disabled, they dont even understand when you show them with your finger, what you would like to eat from the menu. Rubish

Now it's called Sultan House Restaurant. Very small portions served on a small saucer. Big surprise at the bill. The owner felt that we are not very happy, he invited us for the next day for a free shashlik. it was ok, but we did not go there again.

DEFINETELY DO NOT GO THERE !!! This is horribly expensive place although looks like a middle-class restaurant. They serve probably the most expensive cup (not a pot) of tea in a whole Azerbeijan! Quite average meals and finally extremely high amount to pay! Mind the percentage of service they charge! And this dirty toilets! Highly NOT RECOMMENDED! Do not be mislead by the english speaking host!

The owner is friendly and speaks some decent English. The food is everage but the price is quite high. At the end of the bill they will have some surcharge for the service fee. If you go to the city down, you will have much better choices.

Expensive compared to other restaurants in Sheki, expect small portions, chicken Kebab was more of "Sautee" than chicken. The service is good though, owner is friendly.

  • 2/5 Sruthi S. 9 months ago on Google
We ordered the pilaf, chicken kebab, and traditional beef soup he suggested. The food was good, but not particularly amazing. The flavors were decent, and the dishes were satisfying. The service was attentive, the owner was friendly. although we were surprised by the 5 AZN service charge and unreasonable price for the overall food. Overall, it was an okay dining experience, but we felt it fell short of being outstanding. If you're looking for a decent meal in Sheki, this place could be an option 💥make sure you check the price well in the menu!

1 star for the owner who was very nice and 1 for the dessert which was good. For the rest, this place felt like a tourist trap. It was SO expensive ! Prices were more than 50% higher compared to other places in Sheki or even in Ganja. And as if that weren't enough we were charged 16% for the service which is something we did not see in other restaurants. Unfortunately the quality of food did not justify these prices neither the quantity. Obviously only cash was accepted... Not recommended.

Avoid this place at all costs. This place is a total rip off. Payed nearly 3 x the price of what it should have been. 2 beers and a small tea was the price of a whole meal and drinks. Should be reported to authorities. BE WARNED. DO NOT GO HERE!!!
