Had I known this place existed before I booked my hostel, I would have stay here. It's gorgeous, peaceful and you can really feel the history there. Definitely worth the few extra bucks. It's not far from the palace or the town centre, and there's a restaurant on the compound (not the cheapest though). And, of course, the show on the outside of the building. They perfect place for finding some souvenirs

Well known historical monument. Unique architecture. Caravanserai was a roadside inn where travelers could rest and recover from the day's journey particularly with reference to the Silk Road. Usually they were fortified structures with a single gate so that the gate could be closed when danger arose, rendering the building impregnable.

The experience of sleeping in Karavansaray was nice, the location is great, but the rooms are dark and not very clean (a thiiiick layer of dust everywhere). The mattress is very very soft and hence not super comfortable. The reception didn't want to accept a payment by credit card even though there were stickers on the the door saying the credit cards are accepted.

It was quite an amazing experience to live in a building that's probably over 300 years. It's accommodation rates are really affordable for the experience to be a part of such a historical place. As expected, the place is not really the most technologically advanced so it's not the best place for someone expecting modern hotel facilities but the staff is quite attentive and is happy to make sure that you have a really comfortable stay.

This is a beautiful old building, but truly one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in in my life. I've spent time in plenty of great, basic accommodation but here there is zero sense of hospitality, staff are rude and unfriendly, the rooms are absolutely filthy - clumps of dog and human hair on the carpets, stained furniture, broken windows, mattresses in really bad condition. Rooms are really noisy too (especially if you have one overlooking the garden which plays terrible music until late at full blast), service is slow to the point of being absolutely non-existent (and worst still, they don't care.) The management of this hotel is dire - so don't both wasting money on staying here or in the cafe/restaurant - just walk in for a quick look (which you can do every day after 11am.) There are way better options for staying in Sheki.

Although the entrance was until 7 o'clock, we entered at 7:30, it was my first time going to the Caravanserai, it's interesting, but the second floor is not allowed, there is nothing unusual, it's just history, it's good to go.

Iconic place with rich history, the traditional Sarai that conserve and preserve the culture, customs intact. This glorious hotel saw lakhs of travellers for ages including Alexander Dumas. The staff are friendly and helpful. Staying here is a unique experience. Shops and eateries are nearby. WiFi is a bit weak.

Unique Stay Option at Sheki, book in advance for your stay. Place is open to visitors also.

Archetypical karvansaray with a particularly grand entrance and comfortable looking verrandas and rooms around the interior perimeter. We didn't stay here, but it would have been a godsend on a hot summer after travelling all day.

The saray is beautiful, worth to visit! It has a nice garden where is pleasant to walk especially in the spring. However the restaurant located in the saray is bad. The food was quite expensive - it’s not suprising since we eat in a historical, turistic place - but the quality of the food was not good at all. We tried the local piti (we have tried it before several times, so we know how should it taste) and doesn’t have any taste and the amount of animal fat was too much in it ( basically it didn’t have meat at all). Their kebab was not tasty either and the fries were terrible, at first we didn’t even recognise it’s french fries. The hygiene of the place is awful, I couldn’t even clean myself normally in the bathroom before the meal.

You don’t stay here for a luxurious night but for the chance to sleep in an old Caravansery. It has lots of character but is dated. As long as you accept this then you will have a great night. Room was 30 or 40 manat for two depending on room.

Very unique experience. Absolutely gorgeous mornings with dew, rising sunshine and history that embraces you. Staying in the rooms that have seen so much is truly one of a kind experience.

We loved the place, it's so pretty and you feel the history. The rooms are cool even though there is no AC. There is also no internet. Restaurant was painfully slow for breakfast and only served us some of the items we ordered, cheap though.

Wonderful atmosphere in and around the karavanserai. Things to see and do whether or not you are actually staying there. Gift shops both inside and outside. Pretty garden with separate sections and roses so it's very picturesque. Really interesting place with a long history. Think Silk Road... Great place to try the local version of baklava too.

checked in yesterday into one of the "luxury" rooms for couple nights. this place has far exceeded my expectations. the building and restoration are incredible and the rooms are huge with separate bedroom and sitting area. very comfortable and unique stay. Yasin is amazing to deal with and responds on whatsapp immediately to any question may have.

Epic experience in an historical place. Rooms are basic but this did not dilute the experience of staying overnight.

Old Palace open for tourists. Contains many rooms and a big yard in the middle. Shows old architecture style.

🫤 Poorly maintained hotel , not that clean. Rooms are very small , location is also quite poor and claustrophobic . 😐 I only stayed one night on 18 April 2023. I was particularly impressed with the service I (and the rest of my group) received from the reception staff. My room, as can be seen from the photos was quite comfortable. The hotel is a short walk away from a supermarket.
