It's biggest open space in the heart of kollam city. All kind of cultural festivals & exhibitions will be conducted here. The ground is surrounded by a ring of walking path paved with interlock tiles which is about 2.4 km long. Now kerala tourism board and forest department with the joint venture and help from the kollam corporation they are planting lots of trees and building a park around the ground. The famous Kollam pooram is taken place in this ground. Their is also a helipad facility in the ground. It is situated nearly 1.5km from kollam railway station and ksrtc bus terminal. It's a very nice place for daily walk and exercise, lots of trees around which give a nice shade. At the centre of the ground we can see many driving school practicing. On Sunday morning the ground will be filled with cricket players.

Now Kollam Maholsavam is going on.I visited there on 02/12/2022 . Entry fees 80/- per person. It's a wonderful experience inside . The entry of the maholsavam depicts foreign structures and monuments. For 80/- rupees it's worth to watch Nice place to learn driving. Around the ground there is facility for walking for the people . Almost all the programmes festivals are conducted here. It is situated near the heart of the kollam city. Kollam pooram is celebrated in this ground.

Asramam ground is one of the major ground in Kollam. So many peoples are spending time in this ground. We can play cricket, football and many more games. So many tournaments are conducting here. No parking issues lot of spaces are there and beware of snakes while going to small jungles.

This urban park is the largest open space in the whole Kerala. There is a two km walking trail specially made for the purpose. The Government Guest house, Government Ayurveda hospital and KSRTC bus stand are adjacent to this ground. This center ground is utilised for various activities. Roller Skating, football, driving and exhibitions are few. Even big fat weddings are hosted in temporary AC sheds.

The expansive grounds provide ample space for various sports activities, creating a fantastic atmosphere. Additionally, attending the Marine World's Underwater Aquarium added an extra layer of enjoyment to your visit. ❤️

I often chill out here at nights. Best place to relax your mind. Have lots of fun with friends. Not so crowded at nights. Can play cricket, football, learn driving on your own, has driving school cars and bikes in the mornings till evening.

Best place to have a break from the busy kollam town. The newly constructed walkway with artistic sculptures and benches, will help you to relax and enjoy the day.The only problem here is that, there are lots of trash! People throw away food packets and plastic bottles all over the place. Hope, the authorities would take strict action for these kind of behavior.

Best place to chill with friends.. or to go for jogging.. Abundance of trees adds a lot of shade to rest.. To an extent the footpaths or the pavements are neat and clean.. There are lot of benches or shades to sit and rest.. All of these are free of cost and that is the best part of it.. If one gets too bored then there will definitely be a fest to attend too..

After some of the noticeable renovations done by the administration there, the ground looks more attractive. They constructed new walkways, benches, planted new trees, etc. The place is more like you can take a rest during the rush hour or you can take your partner or family or friends for a walk on the evening, simply do some talks under the shades. The works are not yet complete, there are many more to do, but as of now the ground looks entirely different from what it was. Absense of waste bins, toilets are an issue. But hopefully, someday it'll be clear.

A large playground, which entertains lots of people from different age groups. Many matches takes place simultaneously here & that too different sports and athletic activities. Nowadays we can walk around the ground in the shades of trees on a paved footpath and some people use this footpath for daily walking exercises. It's very soothing to sit here under the shades of these trees. Many events and festivities are conducted on this place.

This is the best place in kollam if u are an exercise freak, especially enthusiastic about walking. Just listening to music and walking here, u just tend to forget all other things. I would suggest going early morning because then the atmosphere here is spectacularly peaceful and serene. A fresh morning walk would energize your day. There are also quite a few coconut vendors here from whom u could drink fresh coconut water after your walk. What a perfect way to start a perfect day!

Its good to see the stuufs there but only for one time visit. If people are going there with kids then for them it will be good place to play..

Ashramam ground is an urban park in the city of kollam with six gate for entry namely keli,smriti,payithrkam,Arang,pooram, Aaranyakam . The main entry gate is payithrkam. Kollam pooram conducted in this ground. The Asramam ground is the major training hub of all the driving school operators in Kollam city. Cricket coaching also conducting here. People gather here for morning and evening walking. The main attraction is Miyawaki forest is located in north east entry gate of ground called "Aaranyakam".

Only drawback is lots of glass bottle breakages are in the ground, which needs to be removed. Otherwise it will be harmful for people and vehicles.
