Very lovely place to enjoy nature. Make sure you visit here before the sun brings the heat, either early morning or evening. Early mornings view will be owesome with mist covered tree branches and in evening ride you can enjoy the (cool?, May be .😉) breeze.

Beautiful place, Beautiful islands U can enjoy long walks through small roads in between these lakes and islands. For boating n all u can visit anytime (before evening) But for regular site seeing it'll be better to visit in the early morning or evening

The place is good but it's better if we have some friends with us .since if we are 2 or 8 the rate is same 1400 per trip so it's better you go with your gang 1 to 2 hour ride. Calm atmosphere.good views.

Simple backwaters. Beautiful nature. You should explore it better by walking or on two-wheeler.

Amazing Island 🏝️ try once if you are in kollam. Canal boating is amazing for nature lovers. I had beautiful picture in evening time so try to visit in evening.

One of the most scenic places and a totally must visit place. We were fortunate that it was drizzling and we didn't have many boats, so basically we had the entire backwaters to ourselves. Nikku(Nickies boating in maps)had given us a very good package for boating for 3 hours around Munroe islands. It was an excellent experience.

Must visit in a lifetime. A good place to know village life. Beautiful environment, beautiful backwater rides, and mangroves in austamudi lake are a great refreshing experience. But the life of people is sad.

A tranquil and beautiful place. Formerly, these islands were only connected by rail; now there are buses to Kollam. Sections of the island are facing the threat of rising sea levels. You can spend some quiet time here, getting very close to the nature. Passenger trains do stop at this railway station. There is an autorickshaw stand right outside the railway station.

Munroe is a nice fishermen island. It's very chilled and not very touristic, which is a positive point. You can enjoy peace and quietness easily. The locals are very friendly and smiley. A lot of water around everywhere, say canal, river, or lake. You can take a tour around the island and canals with local men, it's beautiful! I often prefer untouched places with more character and identity than a generic tourist place which looks the same wherever you go.

It was a very good experience for me. Best time to visit is evening I suggest. A good travel through the ashtamudi lake and surrounded by mangrove trees. Go and enjoy through this nature beauty and have some good air there.
