Wow what a place, would have loved to give it 6 stars! I'd never came here before and on this visit we went for a behind the scenes tour followed by afternoon tea. The tour was hosted by a passionate and really friendly woman. She was so knowledge and had an amazing memory. The afternoon tea was delicious, there was an amazing range of sandwiches, scones and cakes. Everything was delicious and good portion sizes. Even got cake to take home.

This is one of my favourite concert hall. Grandiose building in the best part of London. VISITORS TIP: no matter how expensive or modest your ticket price is, go around the building and you will find magic at the highest point

What a great venue! Absolutely astonishing interior. Large venue with classy feel, although really depends what you’re going to watch. It saddens me people no longer respect the apparel morale of theatres. That’s all.

Finally got to see George Benson here after covid reschedule. Well worth the wait. Beautiful historic setting, large enough for a good atmosphere but small enough not to feel miles away from the action. In fact our seats were at the front behind the stage, interesting view as you see what the performers see, and we were cheering loud enough to get a personal acknowledgement! Fabulous performance, every song a hit you could sing along to, everyone was up and dancing. George Benson still has a wonderful voice and the band were great too. Must also mention Sunny War, a delightful singer who got everyone in the mood. Albert hall is a 10 minute walk from South Kensington tube and a great venue.

This is a truly historic & iconic venue. I've been here many times to watch movies with a live orchestra (Back to the Future, The Godfather, etc) and other performances. They have many events that take place. I would recommend signing up to their subscription list to see what tickles your fancy. As mentioned above, there's movies, music, and all types of other shows. The staff here will greet you with a smile and are very friendly. There is a bar inside, but it's limited to snacks and drinks. We went to see 'an evening with Arnold Schwarzenegger', and it was tremendous. The auditorium held 4000 people, and it was amazing. We took public transport to get there, and it's a few minutes' walk from South Kensington tube station. However, you can drive, and there is parking nearby (you have to pay). If watching an even performance, I'd recommend grabbing a bite beforehand near South Kensington before heading to the venue. Enjoy your show!

Went to see cirque du soleil. Amazing. Was a real pleasure to see. The door system takes some getting used to. The door we wanted was 6 but had to walk round to 12 to enter. The cafe was heaving so no seats. Eventually found a bar on 1st floor. Expect to pay over £7 for a beer and £12 for a G&T. Staff friendly.

First visit to this spectacular venue. The building is so beautiful and I'd definitely recommend anyone to visit. We bought our tickets couple of days earlier. It was quite overwhelming how huge and beautiful the place actually is. All staff is wonderful, polite and friendly. All in all a memorable perfect visit that we will never forget 😍

What an amazing venue. The outside is stunning but its inside that overwhelms, its enormous and spectacular. If you get an opportunity to see Classical Spectacular then you won't be disappointed. Fantastic 🥳🥳🥳

First visit to this spectacular venue. The building is so beautiful and I'd definitely recommend anyone to visit. We prebooked the tour of the venue which we turned up late for and the wonderful Tom met us at the gift shop and gave us a short private tour before taking us to join Tony who was showing the rest of the group around. It was quite overwhelming how huge and beautiful the venue actually is. We got lots of photos and after the tour had a meal at the Verdi restaurant (wonderful - left separate review) then saw Brassed Off Live in the auditorium. Absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere was amazing, sound exceptional. All staff wonderful, polite and friendly. Toilets immaculate. £5 for 2 bottles of water in the bar (Card only) which we didn't mind. All in all a memorable perfect visit that we will never forget 😁😁😁😁

Designed, as the name might suggest, by Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert. He built it as part of the complex of museuns in the area - to encourage and enhance culture for all people. It still stands as a major player in the many theatrical venues in London. It is so much more than a concert hall and is regularly transformed into a venue housing dance, spectacular and theatrical events as well as concerts for all types of music. There are several places to eat inside as well as just beverages. The hall boasts a magnificent musical instrument in it's organ and is one of the most aesthetically pleasing and beautiful buildings in London. All levels of pricing allow everyone to be able to experience the splendour of the treats inside. Well worth a visit. Recommended.

A place to visit at least once every year. The sound system in the building is very good, especially this Christmas event, which is audience participation and a great way to end the year. There is a convenient place to get in and out of your car. In good weather it is a nice walk through Hyde Park to get here. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas🎄💕

An exhilarating experience. Take a tour around the Royal Albert Hall and you won't be disappointed. It's a very large venue with lots of smaller meeting/performance rooms. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and extremely helpful. There is a cafe on the ground floor where you can purchase a range of food, sandwiches, cakes & pastries. The main auditorium is really a must to be seen in all it's glory. You can have a peek at the 'Royal Box' where the Queen sits to watch performances. Afternoon tea is good, nice sandwiches, cakes and scones. Take your time and walk around this historic building.

What a beautiful building… we went here for the last night of the proms, the tickets were priced very reasonably and it was worth every penny. If you’re making a trip to London it is well worth a visit, tickets can be bought on the day. Someone mentioned about the temperature getting quite high, but I was pleasantly surprised, considering the number of people in the venue. That being said if it’s warm outside it’s going to get hot in there.

One of the crown jewels when it comes to performances in London. Easy to get to and once inside, easy to get around. Seating is comfortable and with a good amount of leg room for a venue of its age. Prices at the bar are what you would expect and the bathrooms are cramped but clean and have modern fittings. Staff are always polite and helpful.

It's been a long while since I've visited the Royal Albert Hall but there was no finer venue than this to watch Arnold Schwarzenegger speak. The space is open and intriguing with the acoustic mushrooms hanging down from the ceiling. For a large venue, it is lit incredibly well and of course having circular seating you get a great view. The only real criticisms are that the space in front of the balcony chairs is a little small so not great if you're exceptionally tall and the price of food and drink at the venue is high. Otherwise, this is an absolutely fantastic venue to watch speakers or of course, see bands or orchestras play.

The Royal Albert Hall is magnificent! It's huge and beautiful. I went for a musical concert and was in awe of its grandeur. It has different floors that lead to each side of the gallery depending on the seat you want to take. The staff are on ground and ever ready to help with directions. If you ever have the chance to visit, take the opportunity!

We watched Wagner's opera, Tristan and Isolde. The performance was electric and the sound of the hall was magnificent. We were seated in booth 34. It was nice to be in a booth with a dozen people. The view and sound was great. The only negative about the seating is that the chair was a little narrow for me. I'm not particularly large (5'8") and medium build. I enjoyed the hall's bars and restaurants. We ate dinner at the Verdi restaurant and ordered dessert for the intermission. The cost of the food was rather high and the quality of the food was not impressive, but the convenience and atmosphere was perfect.

Beautiful space. Lovely acoustics. Always a good experience. The view i had wasn't the best but different and the sounds were just as magnificent. My biggest issue is the bathroom. It seems that maybe in some of the male bathrooms there are not as many stalls compared to the ladies.

Interestingly one can walk the entire way around (inside) in less than 300 steps! Once you get inside the auditorium ... wow - it's fabulous. Equally stunning externally too.

Been to this venue once before. Just like last time, busy and popular. The place is clean and tidy. Many pictures and snippets of history are placed all round the place to give you an insight to its history - performers, royalty etc. Staff who work there are polite and courteous and were then happy to help with any question I had Most recent show was Cirque Du Soleil - Algeria. Oh my god....what a performance. The stunts and acrobatics were amazing, the music was truly beautiful and the singers voices were captivating. The 2 clowns.....well.....they were a show in their own right. Awesome day!!

Words simply cannot do justice to the experience we had at the Royal Albert Hall. We attended a Beethoven’s ninth concert by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra which concluded with the magical “Ode to joy” performance. What a phenomenal venue and what a phenomenal performance - one I’ll remember for the rest of my life! Whole experience from entry to exit was smooth. Need to buy tickets in advance on their website. Book early as tickets sell out quickly. Venue is easily accessible by tube. We got seats in the last row for £29pp, which we felt was a steal. Seats were comfortable and we had a mind blowing view. Café inside had lots of food and drink options. Toilets were clean. Very less waiting for entry and to be seated. If you are in London, do try to visit for an orchestra or a movie concert or anything that suits your schedule.

Such an amazing experience to see the music of Star Wars and John Williams played in the Royal Albert Hall. This was my first visit and it was very special. The size and scale of the auditorium is immense and the acoustics are just wonderful. If there is a concert on, make sure you go it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

We attended Christmas Carols here. Location: Opposite to park. The bus stop is next to it. Service/Entry: Smooth. The security was helpful and it was easy to get to the seats. The hall is huge and majestic, the acoustics are exceptional. The performance of the orchestra, choirs and the soloists was top notch. Not to forget the host, who raised the audience engagement to the next level at the end with the last carol. Interactive event with sing-alongs of almost 5000 people. The ticket was not cheap but it was worth the experience and what a better day than Christmas eve.

Incredible venue. The seat set up was great, we were able to see the stage in front of us even with a taller person sitting right in front. It’s a beautiful structure inside and out. Looking forward to seeing more shows there!

Just the most MAGICAL venue for concerts in London, arguably in the UK (prove me wrong!) I'm perhaps biased because I went for greatest concert of my life thus far, but it's truly such a beautiful venue. All the staff I encountered were friendly and in good spirits, from the doormen to the bartenders, and the actual performance hall itself? Magic. Absolute magic. I would recommend going to see anything they have running, especially on the 150th anniversary. The architecture is just FAB and the acoustics are brilliant; it was the best sounding orchestra I've ever had the joy of listening to. Plus, plus, plus! Make sure you go!

A amazing Venue, everything about it was amazing, the staff were brilliant. It is such a iconic venue, the bars were lovely, yes expensive but that would be the same for any city with this type of venue. The sound and experience Inside was just brilliant. We would definitely return when we can. No queues anywhere very efficient. Thank You Royal Albert Hall. 😀

We went with a private tour and thought this was well done, it was interesting to get to see the different sides of the hall including a probate room where the king goes when he visits. I thought it was a lovely visit but when I got a chance to sit on some of the seats it felt uncomfortable and I wasn't sitting for long. It's a beautiful building and it is decorated wonderfully and has a lot of memorabilia from the years including celebrities and well-known events that happened in the hall. Our tour guide was wonderful and took the time to listen to us and answer our questions.

  • 5/5 João M. 6 months ago on Google
What a great venue. I bought the tour tickets to make a surprise to my dad. I was amazed at all the information that our guide was able to push through without feeling cluttered with information. The space itself is amazing, 24h for a full space rotation, the multiple event capacity. Just incredible

This is the second time I visit it, and I always gets amazed. The building is massive but still visibility is not a big problem! As well as the sound. Well worthy to pay the extra money if you want to see a show. This time I went to see a film with the Royal Orchestra, and what a success. The experience is great.

  • 5/5 Michael B. 5 months ago on Google
Easily one of the nicest and most efficient venues I have visited. The staff was super nice and helpful directing me to my seat and navigating traffic when it people got lost. The seats on the sections just below the box level actually swivel so you'll never have a sore neck from turning your head. You can just rotate to see the stage. Acoustics are exceptional. You'll love what you hear. There are many bathrooms and bars and cafes inside the venue. The snacks are even almost reasonably priced. Be sure to buy a ticket in advance because you probably won't find one if you show up on the day of the show!

An amazing afternoon with the royal philharmonic orchestra and the royal choral society on our visit to the royal Albert hall. For the annual Christmas carol concert this year. Celebrity 150 years in style. Such a stunning venue. Thank you Caro for keeping me company😁

Didn't go in but while on a trip to London thought we would try and see the stars at the opening of the new 007 movie, looked very glitzy and glamorous but they didn't really give joe public much opportunity to see it which is a shame.. notice in pics a lady and another in glittering dress I think these maybe fake stars turning up all glamorous and walking in the crowd as we seen them down the street later obviously not going to the Premier which I thought was funny. The 2 over my shoulder potentially famous but I didn't know them when others seemed too.

We came here to watch BBC Proms and really really loved the experience! It's located in a great location and the best part is that you might be able to find free in street parking not far from this. They saw our proof of full vaccination before letting us in

Wow, my first time at the Royal Albert Hall. It blew me away just how beautiful this venue is. Can't wait to see more concerts/gigs here. We had to prove our vaccination status on entry or negative test result. We were both double jabbed so no problem.

Attention this tour was carried out in the pre Covid period. ##################### The guided tour is very interesting and allows you to visit the prestigious concert hall from the stalls to the stage. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and his explanations were comprehensive and full of interesting details. The view from the upper balcony where the audience watches the shows standing is very impressive. The tour is short but interesting and recommended for music lovers of any kind and theater. ##################### The Royal Albert Hall is a concert hall on the northern edge of South Kensington, London. One of the United Kingdom's most treasured and distinctive buildings, it is held in trust for the nation and managed by a registered charity (which receives no government funding). It can seat 5,272.

Quite hot in the hall with no airflow, so much for upgrading the ventilation (what ventilation?). Big queues just to get water but entry was quick into the venue. Sound and performance was incredible

OMG! First visit for me to this wonderful venue. I have just seen the final fantasy distant worlds tour. Wow just wow. Arnie Roth and everyone performing were phenomenal! The staff were all friendly too. Cannot wait to go again 😁highly recommend visiting if you haven't been

Went here yesterday to watch the Final fantasy vii orchestra. The performance was unreal and I'm so glad I got to see it. The Albert Hall itself was great. On arrival I wanted to find the shop to get some merchandise before the show. I asked a member of staff who was more than happy to help and point me in the right direction. After buying I asked if I can go to the cafe/bar and was shown where to go. The cafe/bar does get busy so be warned you may have to que to get served for food and drink. Wasn't a big deal as I wasn't waiting long. I ordered 2 pints £6 each. I did feel that was abit steep, but considering its convenience to be on site I can't complain. Staff again very cheerful and happy. All in I'd happily come here again to see a performance. The lightning and sound is done perfectly and any performance in my eyes will be a real treat to see her. Highly recommended and I'll definitely be returning to see another performance.

Amazing experience and bought tickets last min a few nights before and was able to get box seats dead center with and amazing full theater view. The boxes are a bit small but I think it adds to the experience. There are a few different bars throughout the venue but the Stella Bar is the best! You can bring food and drink to your seat and we even got an ice cream cup during intermission. I will be coming back very soon for another historic experience.

Went to the RAH for the first time, last week for the Festival of Remembrance Services. My Mum (former evacuee from WW2) and I were part of the Civilian Muster team which took part in the whole event. Amazing place to visit and just in awe with the size of the place. Privileged to be there as ambassadors for the Evacuees Association, all run in conjunction with the Royal British Legion. Well looked after by all, and the hospitality and service provided by the staff and security was first rate too, for such a large and important event. Shows were terrific too. Fitting for the RBLs centenary year.

Best experience ever! I always wanted to to to Royal Albert Hall but never made it until a friend invited me for Classical Spectacular event and I was beyond impressed and it was a lifetime experience for me and I will never forget it. Also it was my birthday, so it was the best gift I ever received! I can't even express in words how much I enjoyed it. I'm big classical music, choir music fan, and I heard some favourite songs and the quality of the music and the whole atmosphere at the highest level. Very highly recommended it to go there! Well worth it.
