Great facilities but some of their workers don't serve with professionalism and can be very rude. On few occasions I observed their environment was not kept neat and hygienic with fowl smells. In fact the administration and facility managers needs to step up their game.

Had very terrible acne that left me self conscious and constantly worried. I got to Rabito and not only was the customer service great, Prof. Dele( head dermatologist) was one of the best and nicest doctors i ever met (trust me, I'm a nurse..lol). 5 weeks forward, I'm 98% acne free, have beautiful skin and forever grateful! Thank you Prof!

Dermatologists clinic, but most of doctors are not dermatologists though they're acting like they are. Very unprofessional. Very bad. Fees are to high for such a level.

Very busy place and very big hospital in the capital city of Northern Region Ghana ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ญ. Just at the road side and you will see alot of motorbikes park alongside the road like 100 over ๐Ÿšด. Compound very neat and clean, best view youโ€™ll get when you enter the premises. God bless the government for their efforts and the contribution of the citizens is most appreciated. Love it ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฅท๐ŸฅโœŠ๐Ÿฟ

A great hospital, a referral center for most emergency cases in the Northern sector of Ghana. No doubt this hospital is under immense pressure because of its unique services rendered. Great hospital by all standards..

The place is very nice and a good health facility to visit for all your health related activities. And it's also a teaching hospital.

Its the biggest public hospital in the three northern regions of Ghana. Its is also the busiest of all hospitals in the three northern regions. After renovations, facelifts by the late Professor Mills, its one of the leading hospitals in the nation. Aside that, it serves as a college of training for the University for Development studies and other health colleges in the region.

The wait time for getting vitals can be terribly long. However their dermatologists are awesome. Had some issues with my face and hair and had to visit the lab. First time ever knowing that there could be lab tests for my face and scalp. The medication was prescribed was very expensive but over two months, my face got back to normal and Iโ€™m glad. Their digital services too are legit up there. You get text reminders for reviews, which you donโ€™t usually get in many hospitals.

i did a six week clinical attachment at the physiotherapy department. I observed that the administrative body of the hospital have not being paying close attention to the Physical Therapy department. I plead with the administration of TTH to help solve the challenges that the department is facing because it receives a whole lot of referral cases from not TTH alone but several hospitals in the metropolis and even beyond. The Physical therapists and Physical therapy assistants are doing a great job. Also, I was on Ward rounds for two weeks and i would say the workers are really committed and discipline

I had a small outpatient surgery done here, and then came back for a check-up. The customer service was VERY good. Every nurse, doctor, or other staff person I dealt with or observed was very professional, friendly and helpful. During the procedure a few small difficulties arose (which can and will happen anywhere), and I was impressed with how the doctor and nurse handled them. Before I went, I did and online video consultation with the doctor, which saved me a trip to the office. The wait time can be fairly long, but there is a fast track if you are willing to pay more. I don't have any idea what a Ghanian would think of the pricing, but it's a lot cheaper than what I'm used to paying in America. Overall I am very pleased with my experience.

Tamale Teaching Hospital Hospital in Northern Region, Ghana The Tamale Teaching Hospital is a Teaching hospital in Tamale in the Northern region of Ghana. It serves as a referral hospital for the three northern regions of Ghana. The main hospital in Northern Ghana, 2km southeast of town. It cooperates with the University for Development Studies in Northern Ghana to offer undergraduate and graduate programs in medicine, nursing and nutrition. It is the third teaching hospital in Ghana after the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. Quick Facts: Geography, Location ... History The hospital was established in 1974 and was formerly known as the Tamale Regional Hospital. It was to provide various health care services to the people of the three Northern regions of Ghana namely, the Northern, Upper East and Upper West regions. Teaching hospital status In 2005 the Northern Regional Coordinating Council decided to partner the Ghana Health Service to upgrade the hospital to the status of a Teaching Hospital. The upgrade made the hospital the third teaching hospital in the country. The upgrade was to help with the training of health professionals from the University of Development Studies. Mandate The mandate of the hospital is set by Act 525 of the Ghana Health Service and Teaching Hospitals Act of 1996. The stipulations of the mandate empowers the hospital to function in three critical areas namely, the provision of advanced clinical health services, supporting the training of undergraduates and postgraduates in medical sciences and finally, undertaking research into health issues for the purpose of improving health care. Infrastructural Development The hospital in 2012 had a donation of 335,000 Ghana cedis for the construction of an ultra modern Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The donation from MTN Ghana was in response to a need identified by Lord Paul Boateng and his wife when the visited the hospital in 2011. The completed units as of July 2015 have facilities to serve forty neonates and their mothers. It also contains office spaces as well as students' learning areas. The hospital secured a dedicated power cable from Akosombo to supply them with uninterpreted electricity. Governing Board An 11-member governing body for the Tamale Teaching Hospital was inaugurated on 28 February 2019. The members of the board include Mr. Mahmoud Hamid (Chairman), Dr. David Zawumya Kolbilla, Prof. Francis A. Abantanga, Mr. George A. Atampugre, Dr. Abass Adam, Mrs. Dangnikuu Evelyn-Eda. Others are Mr. Kuuri Karim, Pham. Hamid Abdulai, Nana Agyei Mensah, Justice Eric Baah and Clara Tia Sulemana.

This is the referral for the entire 5 Northern Regions; Upper West, Upper East, North East, Savannah and the Northern Region itself. It serves some parts of the former Brong-Ahafo region. For a facility to serve such a wide landmass, you can imagine what it has in store. For all of my visits, I have been given the professional treatment there is.

Don's know how anyone can rate this hospital. It is truly shocking. I was injured while on business in Tamale and had to get treatment there. When arrived they ER staff wanted to inject me with a used needle, then they wanted to admit me in a ward where men and women share a ward, no bedding and food are provided for patients, plus the patients would wet their beds without it get cleaned. The ER was so unhygienic blood and papers everywhere on the floor. A naked man was laying on the floor, and when patients arrived they will sit for hours with injuries with out any staff assisting them. Best part is while they took xrays of my leg I was on my phone! They did not even removed my shows - which metal clips on. They made me sit for 7 hours just to get a letter from a so called Dr that I can be treated in my own country. The charge of the letter was $200! They exploit internationals and one will die there if you get admitted, not due to your own injuries but due to poor trained staff that simply does not care about their patients.
