One of the best malls I have visited in quite a while. It is thriving with lots of retailers and hardly any vacancies. A number of stores had sales going on, and I was able to get some great buys at Belk. The traffic around the mall wasn’t too bad, and we were able to park close to a mall entrance. It was a safe place for a family to shop. We’ll be back soon!

The only escalator in the mall has been out of order for most of the time in the year I've been coming. Attached is a photo of the elevator line on a Tuesday due to the perpetual state of working on the escalator. I get attitude from the mall manager everything I ask when it will be fixed and have never gotten even a vague guess. When the mall was sold, all renovations were deemed unnecessary so all the hype they build for a year about improvements is laughable. Profits.

Just when you thought shopping malls were a thing of the past, the Johnson City Mall is still the place to be. It has all kinds of everything that you're looking for. I absolutely hate malls but my wife and two teenage daughters love them so this place is somewhere I can take them to calm them all down and spend tons of money.

Pretty cool mall. The food court is very compact, and the lines aren’t very distinguished. But it is definitely worth visiting.

It’s not a bad mall. I’m just leaving this review because I don’t want someone getting hurt. My kids both almost fell into a jagged metal hole by the (lower) entrance to Belk the other day. It’s a wide enough and deep enough hole for someone to unwittingly step into and end up with severe injuries and/or tetanus. I notified a security staff member and I could just tell he wasn’t concerned with it. Sure enough, hours later, it still wasn’t secured in any way. Just be careful.

Great place to meet and hang out. Took my daughter and we had a great time. Went to VR and had a good experience there too. Places to eat and shop. Places to.sit and chat. Great location and fun things to do all over Johnson City.

I give the mall a 5 stars because of the inclusivity of sizes between store. My favorite store is Curve and Cloth. I could live there. The staff is so sweet and it feels like you have known them forever. Bath and Body Works is another store I like. If your into western fashion and are smaller or plus size Mercantile 423 is an amazing store. I highly suggest you visit. I personally go more than once a month usually.

This mall is so much fun. I can walk around with friends, find what I’m looking for, talk to friendly people, and eat good food. I really enjoy the food court with the bounce activity in the middle. I would recommend to anyone. Parking lot can be a little chaotic though.

A real mall... Wow. Loved the open play area when you walk into the main entrance. The kids race car buggies are adorable! Lots of unique stores with the old school ones there as well. Super fun

The Mall in Johnson City is wonderful. My wife and 1 year old baby go shopping there about once per week. Even if we don't plan on buying anything we enjoy walking around and seeing the baby shops, checking out the pet adoption store, grabbing some Charlie's sandwiches, and looking for some deals (all while racking up some steps for our health).

As a kid, this mall always stood out to be great for shopping, food and other experiences. While some shops are not around like they used to anymore, the experience is still there after all these years of going there when I can. Always busy, which is always an amazing sign. I live in Kingsport, and this mall is still going strong! Glad to see it still going too. :)

We love the Japanese place. One of the employees remembers me and my daughter and when he sees us coming he already knows my order and they are very nice. It is very good, we love it and the service and food.

My husband and I came into the Cassie Nail Spa December 5th, 2020. We requested, for each of us, a pedicure and a full set of acrylic nails. Our experience here at this location was extremely disappointing. Both of our nails were not what we expected nor requested. On multiple fingers, the lady who serviced us, touched our skin with the grinder (that had not been sanitized through us and one other customer) and made us bleed. The acrylics themselves were too thick and were causing pain and discomfort for us both. The paint itself had multiple imperfections and the acrylic was uneven. I requested tips and did not get them. When I brought up our issues with the lady there, she told us to just come back one day and get it fixed. Not to mention, this small service took a total of four and a half hours out of our Saturday that we had not intended to spend because the technician took care of customers that came in after we had already been there. Our total came up to $120 after the tip. I have contacted the manager of the mall, Ashley Grindstaff as well as *attempted* to contact the owner of the nail spa, Vinnie Mai. I say attempted because both Ashley and myself have emailed him with no response back. I wished to request the cost of the nails be refunded to us because we had to go get them fixed at another location, Nail and Wax, in Kingsport who are amazing. The cost of the nails came up to around $75 for the both of us. As I said, I was requesting that $75 be returned to me because of the level of dissatisfaction that we experienced. It is especially unsettling the thought of what can happen if that same tool has broken other people's skin and had particles of their blood that then gets transmitted. None of the equipment was sanitized through myself, my husband, and the other person that was serviced. But, as I said, Ashley done what she could, attempting to get in contact with Vinnie. I attempted this but the contact email that the mall has on file cannot receive messages.

One of the better malls I've been to and I've been to a lot. Its not anything super special but most of its stores, if not all, are actually still open. The new VR store where you pay to play VR games is actually a lot of fun. I would suggest bringing a friend(s) as you can play games with them.

Its seemed clean. It was crowded. More people than i imagined. The food court is still offering dine in services with social distancing. Social distancing very much encouraged in all stores did not see that they would sanitize or clean after customers touching items.

It was better than I was expecting! I really like this mall and the children's spa was so cool looking! Almost like the Bibidi-bopodi-botique at Disney World. I didn't try it out, but if you have little kids they would definitely enjoy that!

Thriving mall! This is a rarity. Great anchor stores, smaller stores, and nearby big boxes. Covid has service slow. Food court is OK. I didn’t see a play area for kids or a lactation room but it may have them.

If you need a climate controlled place to walk the Mall is for you!! The Mall at Johnson City is clean, warm/cool to your seasonal needs, no rain or snow! While visiting the Mall it would give you the perfect opportunity to pick up items you need or have wanted. The selection is vast, something for everybody from handmade gifts, clothing, food, or a wonderful outing for a friends shopping trip or a quick delicious meal. Parking is great and free. If you haven't been in a while, check it out.

Love the shops in this mall! Food court was great until 2 bus loads of middle school kids came in for lunch on a field trip. We will be back - it is the best indoor shopping mall for a sixty or seventy miles.

  • 2/5 Gumby 1 year ago on Google
The mall has grown dark and deserted with storefronts empty and gated. The food court has fewer restaurants and all in all this place is not a really good experience. It used to be good. Oh well, times change.

Not to busy today. The escalator going upstairs is down for repairs. I also visited Dick’s sporting good, but that was a waste of time. They do not carry any hunting stuff at all. I was looking for a turkey call for my husband’s birthday. Dick’s has basically turned into a clothing store. The only reason for the 4 stars is because the escalator was down and I hate elevators. The Mall of JC is a great place to shop with a lot of stores to choose from.

  • 5/5 Ivy M. 1 year ago on Google
Pretty self explanatory. Has all of your favorite stores in one place. So much excitement and color. Will visit again. Food court has some great options.

  • 1/5 Chelsea S. 1 year ago on Google
Very disappointed. Tried to go shopping at the mall for some school clothes for my daughter's and there was basically nothing to pick from. The clothes were either way to big or they were not appropriate for school. All of the tops for girls were tank tops or crop tops. There needs to be a better selection to pick from.

One of the best malls I've been to. It's got every shop I could ever want (including Torrid and Bath & Body Works), a great food court, bathrooms are clean and easy to find, and every store I went in today had sales going on.

One of the better malls I’ve been to in awhile. It was well kept and clean. Everyone seemed happy when you walk around and the atmosphere is nice. There was hardly any vacancies. Plenty of food options as well.

  • 5/5 Myrrh 1 year ago on Google
Clean, beautiful, and they decorate tastefully for the holidays. They have free period supplies in a vending machine in the ground floor women's restroom in case of emergency, which I really appreciate. The food in the food court is all delicious, and it's very accessible for those like me with mobility issues. Over all, a quality facility.

  • 4/5 Derrick t. 1 year ago on Google
My only complaint at all would be I wish the mall didn't close at 7. Now it is staying open later for the holidays. But as someone who lives an hour away and doesn't get off work until 5-5:30. For most of the year. Closing at 7 makes it hard to get there and eat and still be able to look around.

I really like the taste of the noodles and chicken and all the food here at the mall and I’ve loved going to this place and seeing all the smiles on people’s faces and overall it’s a very good place

Went on a Sunday. Walked in around 1130am, and it looked closed on the inside. We found a worker, and they said the mall opens like 12(ish). Whatever that means. We first wanted to go into a store that sold items like incense, crystals, and mediation like items. I can't remember the name of the store. But the lady that came to unlock the door to open business looked miserable. Was not friendly at all, even when we said hello. It was so bad that it deterred us from even entering. Another store with a very earthy vibe super amazing experience. The store was already open and the lady working was super welcoming. Definitely made up for the first store.

Been a long time since I have been in a mall. It was a very nostalgic experience. Had a great time! It is not a large mall but it has good stuff. It's worth taking a few hours to walk around and enjoy shopping.

  • 4/5 Miranda T. 9 months ago on Google
It's an indoor mall. Which is nice given that many of those have closed. We usually don't spend a lot of money here since there isn't much need for the shops but it's great to window shop. There are plenty of stores here for different needs.

  • 5/5 M Z. 11 months ago on Google
It honestly was so much fun. We drove over an hour to get there, but we stayed for nearly 5. It had a ton of stores, though a very limited food court. Lots of places to window shop for sure.

  • 5/5 J C. 10 months ago on Google
😂 it's the mall. High prices, annoying hallway vendors, crazy teens acting a foo, screaming babies/toddlers, walking around in circlesl. Extremely crowded during the holidays. It's a mall, what would you expect 😂 nice stores, though they keep getting rid of them, usually clean, pretty cool in the summer, hot in the winter. Overall 7/10.

I've got to say, I love it here! There always people here, plenty of places to eat, plenty of shops to see. This place is an absolute must visit for anyone in Johnson City! It's so good, that I'll drive 30 minutes to Johnson City just to go there. Need I say more? Dimmys giving this 5 stars outta 5!

First time trying out this place, and I was very pleased. Natasha, our server was super nice. answered all our questions about the menu. Made us feel welcome. The crab Rangoon. Shrimp temp roll, crab Rangoon roll, crunchy crab roll, and the fried oreos were absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu, like the fried ice cream.

I had been to this mall in several years until this past weekend. Definitely will be returning again. There are several great shops including small businesses. I love shopping at boutiques. While not a small business, Buckle is my favorite shop.

  • 2/5 Steve T. 7 months ago on Google
Be aware, this mall is a 'gun free zone.' What does this mean? Criminals frequently use 'gun free zones' to attack, commit their crimes, and of course, film it for social media. It means you have no protection at all. Anyone who enters with a gun has to have explicit permission to do so. So, if that same criminal ignores their rule to go in and commits a much greater felony, you might be stuck waiting for law enforcement to get permission to enter. Many, many people carry for their personal protection because they are the victims of a violent relationship, or the crook they sent to jail has been released because of the lax laws which favor the criminal, not the victim. You might be stuck in a situation with no way of defending yourself or your kids or family. Good luck. I shop elsewhere.

  • 4/5 Austin H. 4 months ago on Google
I generally write positive reviews, and I would rate the Mall of Johnson City with 5 stars if I could. I've been visiting since childhood, hanging out with friends as a teenager. The atmosphere is great, and the food court is excellent, offering almost everything. However, there are a few reasons it falls short of a perfect score. Firstly, the prices seem unreasonably high to me. Secondly, there's room for improvement in the activities department; I've often thought they should introduce an indoor skatepark or similar options for the youth. Lastly, over the past few years, the mall appears stagnant, lacking significant changes beyond the scenery. The same stores, clothes, and jewelry persist, leaving it with a sense of something missing in my opinion.
