The Dailes Theatre is a professional Latvian theater founded on November 19, 1920 (it had different address that time). Theater on Brivibas Street is a functionalism architecture style building with three halls: large hall, small hall and chamber hall. There is wonderfull atmosphere and speciall smell when you enter the theater. Plays are different and actors and directors team is excellent! Often there are guest directors and guest actor troupes from Latvian and foreign theaters. During the breaks you can enjoy coffee, wine, ice cream cocktails or snacks or look at the exhibition in the lobby. If you arrive by car, will need a bit of the time to find a parking place in streets nearby.

Just saw Rotkho performance. Awesome! Absolutely great and before haven't seen form. I guess not all will like this but with any outcome is worth to see a sample of contemporary theater .

This is biggest theater Latvia. Has very unique modernist design and is architecture landmark of Riga. Has impressive stage, i guess one of the most beautiful in Latvia. Sadly for foreigners the plays are on latvian language only

Had several tickets bought for my holiday in Riga, but turned out that my non EU Covid vaccination certificate would not be accepted without the compatible qr code, but Dailes Theater kindly accepted it anyway while other theaters turned me away.

Been going here since I was 4 years old. The place to go it you want to explore both classical and modern plays.

Very beautiful place. It has 3 different places to show plays. Has a nice little cafè where you can take a break and relax in between parts. An awesome modern style (I think it was inspired from japaneese architecture). The aesthetic is inspiring to say at least. Beautiful place to just sit, think about something.

Quite a fancy place. Would be great to bring someone on a date here. After the plays, I suggest hurrying up to the front to get your clothes, lines are usually long. The bar/cafeteria is quite overpriced, I must say.

Fantastic place to go with family and/or friends. It's great if you want to go someplace more interesting than the cinema. It's a 30 min walk away from the city centre and is accessible by public transport.
