A-must-visit culinary stop while you visiting Salatiga. The authentic taste, lots of filling and very unique spot amidst the traditional market in central town. Price wise is very affordable. Aside the Ronde or Wedang Kacang, try their Batagor or Mie Kocok, such a lovely duo! Service from the staffs are all awesome too, very attentive and helpful. Keep it up! 👍

The "Jago" (the Javanese word for "rooster") at Pasar Raya central market, Salatiga City, Central Java Province is famous for its unique and delicious wedang ronde, a hot sweet traditional ginger drink with round ronde balls, peanuts, jelly, lemon peel and other fillings. Here the peanuts are so soft, and the ginger in the drink is so strong. It's a night traditional cafe, and crowded on weekends. Other drink variants are also available (sekoteng drink, peanut drink, etc.). Here you can also enjoy dishes like siomay, batagor, and a fresh noodle "mie kopyok."

One of the best ronde around central java area. The place is little bit small, you'll end up in waiting list on crowded hour. Located behind a market building, so it can be difficult to find this place if it your first time came to this place. Ronde is very tasty, i think they add lime to their dish, you can taste a hint of lime on it. But it's not overwhelm the overall flavour of the ronde. Mochi is full of peanut, very sweet and fragrant. Definitely a must try place if you came to salatiga area. The serve batagor too, but i think it is just okay. You can order it for snack while you wait on the ronde to served.

I prefer the ginger soup be more stronger to its present recipe. But overall, the balance of its sweetness and other elements is complimenting each other deliciously. Would definitely be back again!

a unique taste for a ronde. it doesn't taste like authentic javanese ronde. there are some additional spices that modified, for example, there is additional seaweed in it.

The best wedang ronde in town... The original wedang ronde sekoteng is very recommended, whether it's the hot or the iced one... It's so fresh and comfortable to eat on hot and sunny day or even on rainy days... The price is quite cheap, but you have to wait several minutes to be seated, especially during busy hours

Best ronde ever. Yummy. Not too sweet. The ginger and its lemongrass are tasty. But beggar nor street traditional seller are too easy to interrupt to this snacking place, so a bit annoying when those beggar and street seller disturb me when I ate

The ronde sekoteng was ok, quite unique since it's unlike ronde in Bandung ir Jogja. The batagor was good. Make sure you finish it while still warm.

A bit hidden, but you will always can find it. Don't come at peak hours (usually at night or weekends). Come at around 2 pm might give you plenty option to sit and observe the waitress prepare your famous Ronde sekoteng or wedang kacang... many celebs have visited this place. If you want to see Salatiga at night you can get "by the street" Ronde sellers along Sudirman street..

The drink (ronde) was good enough, the food (batagor) was much better. But if you compare it to another similar place, the price is a bit expensive.

Delicious. Price range 11-14rb. Not so sweet and not so ginger. For me i prefer little sweet and have the rich taste of ginger. But its still so delicious. Dont forget to ask the direction. Because the place little hidden and must be by walking or motor. Car please park in the main road.

I love this ronde. The best so far for me. The taste is very light but satisfying my mouth. The place is remain hidden, so like hidden gems. The owner is very friendly. About the price, hmm it's worth it compares to things thank you'll get.

I don't know how they can make ronde that good and tasty. But this place can be really busy sometimes. So you might have to wait for a while. But it is all worth it.
