I had an apt in the maternity dept. I waited 3 weeks, lost an entire nights sleep the night before my apt, drove an hour, arrived early, and all just to be told that the ultrasound tech called out and my appointment was canceled.... to make it even worse I now have to wait 2 more weeks for my apt. They didn't even bother to try and get me in sooner. Worst experience I have had in a long time. I would never recommend this place to anyone

Having a procedure done and the staff was very friendly and very positive. Everyone was helpful the entire time from receptionist to nurses, doctors and anesthesiologists. It was fairly quiet as well.

I had my son here and let me tell you, I was terrified. The medical teams in charge of our care were above and beyond. They were attentive and genuinely cared about my comfort. This hospital made me feel confident and safe.

Both myself and my husband have had minor outpatient procedures here (epidural spinal injections) and it’s one of the few medical centers that I truly don’t mind going to at all. Not only has every staff member I’ve ever spoken to been incredibly kind and helpful but it’s very easy to get in and out of and parking is free and conveniently located right by the entrance. The building may be older but the renovations they have done make it feel new inside and it’s always clean. I’ve submitted an edit to maps because the main entrance to the hospital is not the listed address. It’s on the street parallel to Elm, off of Jefferson. Depending on the map, it’s called Mountain Ave or Reid Ave. This is also where the parking lot is, directly across from the entrance.

I was sent here from the Obstetrics office in the front of the building for lab work they could not do there. I had some of my genetic testing done and NIPT to find out early gender of baby. Although there were lots of RUC students filling the hall, getting on the elevator, we were able to take the stairs up and go where we needed. I went up to the Questlab and had my labs drawn- that was also a breeze. And we stopped for a quick bite to eat in the cafeteria before heading home. Food was good and affordable! All staff and students were nice.

My mom went there on 19th of June for rehab there are rude to there patients. When you call them to help you to go use the bathroom they take forever to get there. One of their employees call my mom names and went through her bag take stuff and taking her clothes to out of it take it to the other patients. I don't recommend them for rehab.

I've had outpatient surgery quite a few times here over the years, and I've always had such amazing care. Every single one of these individuals from the receptionist when you come in, to the surgeon and the RNs providing care for you truly care about your wellness and their jobs. I hope they are respected by management and that their care and hard work does not go unnoticed because that's rare nowadays. Thank you. 💙

I coded in the OR during shoulder surgery and again in ICU, they worked feverishly successfully bringing me back. Had to put me on ECMO machine for 2 weeks. Dr Dempsey and Dr Arnold were excellent Dr’s, the supporting staff from PA’s to the housekeeping we’re always professional and attentive, never rude. After ICU I went to physical therapy in the Community Hospital building, I was there for 2.5 weeks. Staff there were also very attentive and caring. They were always attentive in my needs and getting me better so that I could go home, they didn’t rush the recovery process (acquired drop foot during surgery had to learn how to walk again) No matter where you go everything is never going to be perfect, they do have other patients as well. I have zero complaints with ICU on 6th floor or Rehab at Community. Me coding was a freak thing. I owe my life to Dr Dempsey (shoulder surgeon) Anesthesiologist and everyone on ICU. I’m very fortunate to have survived. Though not perfect, no one can expect them to be, they gave me exemplary care, I would recommend them to anyone.

The I.R. doctors , gastroenterologist team and nursing team were great! The residents that took care of me gave me fluid overload,my gastroenterologist here at home had put in my charts no I.V. fluids, evidently the residents didn't read my chart or thought they knew more than my doctor. Long story short, they gave me probably 6bags of fluid during my stay even though I told them not to, I ended up with 20lbs of extra fluid and my doctor was not happy. I will never allow a student doctor to make health decisions, give medical advice, or treat me in anyway ever again . I have that right. They would not listen to anything I told them. I ended up feeling miserable. I know they have to learn, but never again will I be a person they practice on. I will never allow a resident student doctor to examine me ever again! Worst hospital stay I ever experienced!!!!
