It is one of the greenest places to visit near duraiyur... Some of the tourist attraction places in this hills are pachamalai hills view, top slip view point,mangalam water falls, trekking trails and medicinal gardens. A guest house with food facilities available at the hill top. One can visit the whole places in a single day when you have a bike or car. Don't travel on your own(self driving) to this place if you are a beginner, since the ghat roads are not well maintained and have lots of potholes from the start of ghat section. There are few unnamed view points to take snap on the way to top slip. The weather in this place is good through the year. One can visit this place at any time. Entry is free of cost. Try not to travel to this place during rainy season.

Pachamalai hills are least explored place by the tourists. It is not developed like other hill stations and hence good place to spend with your family and friends. As the name suggests the hills are very much green with natural beauty. There is not much construction and there is a nice staying place by forest department available there. Variety of accommodations are available here at nominal rates. During the season one can enjoy Jackfruits, Cashew nuts, Pineapples. The another major crop here is Cassava tubers. The air is so fresh here and hence makes it nice place to spend some time. There are few small eateries are available which serves excellent tasty food. It is a nice and wonderful place to ride your two wheelers. Actually there are some 70 hairpin bends, which make to driving so exited. And there is two one is from namakal and one from thuraiyur. The road from pachamalai to thuraiyur is so silent and calm.

A hillstation located near Trichy..16kms from thuraiyur As the name resembles full of Green 💚 Less attraction if you visit by your own. Better to get stay organized by tamilnadu forest department which is located at top sengatupatti They are organising trekking with nominal prices and accommodation,food.. The major attraction is Mangalam waterfalls which is located 15kms from pachamalai hills The other places showing in maps are created by visitors in recent years but there's no exact places if we ask the locals. The people over there are very nice.. There's no good restaurant/hotels only 2 hotels on the way to falls.. which the food is only average They will prepare vegfood if you order prior. Othw you have to get accommodation in forest department eco tourism centre.. the contact details mentioned in their website.

Pachai-Malai.... Means Green-Hills in Tamil. But the Sad part is, except few dense green forests n mountain roads enroute to Hill top r not Green... KuchiKizhangu(MaraValli Kizhangu) is widely grown above the Hills.... Haven been visiting Pachai Malai for last 3.5yrs, I can truly say with my conscience, that 99.9% farmers use all kinda pesticides, Insecticides, UREA, RoundUp etc. SomeFarmers claiming them to be Organic also use KalaiKolli with PanchaKavya, JeevaMirtham n Pasunthaal uram. They r Ignorant n Agri Department n other Seed n fertilizer companies r exploiting them. They need to be educated about Organic NaturalWay of Farming.... KalaiKolli is everywhere. They r Using KalaiKolli for MappilaiSamba n KaruppuKavuni. People r Nice n beautiful by heart. Still PachaiMalai can be preserved.... It's hightime Govt n Organic Farming groups help n save the People n Environment of PachaiMalai n bring back its Green.....

Pachamalai hills ,scenic beauty .Shooting spot and forest reserve .Plantain,jackfruit ,tapioca,spring onion are cultivated .We had a great outing with friends .

The scenary and view are really beautiful. Back to back mountain ranges with beautiful view sometimes covered in mist. It's a treat to the eyes. But the downside is, there ain't any place to hangout there except for the Mangalam Water Falls which has a very small area where u can take bath. And the road to the hills, there's road before the start of hairpin bends, there's good road after the end of hairpin bends when u reach the top . But there ain't no road on the hairpin bends, the road is full of stones and some times there r land slides, not huge, but small ones that can block the road. Hope government fixes the path.

Hidden hilly area near Trichy. Nice place to explore especially in monsoon and winter season.

Nice place to enjoy. I have seen a lot of butterflies while traveling. At the hill, there is a beautiful waterfall. Families and friends are highly recommended. But you should bring foods, snacks, water, etc. There is no shop to buy food.

One of the most underrated hills around. View point is great. Not much of congested place.Roads are a bit rough. Best place for relaxation.

Pachamalai hills very nice place

The road to top was not well maintained as you can see lots of bumps on the way.... With number of hairpin bends and view at one side, it's really a pleasure ride if you are in bike trip... On the top, there will be a small viewpoint.. From there you need to travel for another 10-15km to reach the waterfall... Apart from this, the place is full of green and Pachamalai will be one good trip if you just need to escape from your day-to-day life for a day.

This is the only place in Trichy to have a cool climate. We can go here to enjoy our weekends .. or someone in depression can go here to relax them... Nice place..
