Had a great time with friends in the water stream. Didn't expect flow in the month of May but it was a pleasant one. Had to Trek a little bit to get to the water stream and it's definitely not much harder. When I visited there were large number of families with kids having fun in the stream. There are a few Hut hotels where you can get some tiffin like Dosa, Parotta etc. Don't expect pure veg options. There is a entry fee of 10 rs charged. It's definitely a worthy visit.

Best place for family to enjoy trecking and fun with water stream. Bring your own food. Government authorities are at the entrance to keep the surrounding clean. Very old people 60/65+ will not be able to make it as they need to cross small rocks on the way... As you go deeper 2/3 kms you can see clean water to play with. Good and enough car parking space available. Be careful with monkeys.

Actually many of us don't know, there is a trekking path available to climb Kolli hills aagaya gangai falls. It's really awesome.. It takes around 3hours to reach aagaya ganga.. Please don't try this, if don't have local guide support.. it's a dense forest, you may lost anytime..

Nice place to visit the nature.. 1. Since it's a river We can't take bath like water falls..you have to sit and take bath.. 2. There is small place like pond available to bath for kids and ladies 3. For tracking and bachour party this is perfect place to visit 4. Two hotels are available to have breakfast and lunch 5. Best time for short visit 7 am to 10am ..after that more crowd will be there. 6. River also filled with full of stones and walking will be little difficult for kids, ladies

A nice place to spend time in a weekend... Puliyancholai Falls couldn't be find... But there is a river which can be explored... The farther you go via the river, the people who are taking bath is low... But keep your slippers on coz the river is filled with rocks and they are hurting our feet...

Really a hidden gem. Must visit place with friends. Rocks are so slippery. Trek atleast 500m above to find best sceneries and no rush in there. No restroom and must buy food outside, there are some fish shops and snacks are available but it seems like unhygienic.

Poliyancholai is a scenic place to visit in weekends. It is an offbeat destination with not many visitors. If you are coming at this park, I assume you have to visit Poliyancholai. I want everyone to know that fact that the frequency of buses is very low. It is a remote place. Try not to stay there at night unless u have an accomodation facility reserved to urself. The timings of buses is such that, one of it comes at 4pm and next comes directly at 8pm. So please make sure u plan ur trip. Park needs a bit of maintenance. Other than that, the place is scenic.

It is open till 5 PM. Token per head is Rs.10 and for the car parking is Rs.50. Please have your phone and belongings to the backpack so it ll be safe when you're crossing water. Place will be Good! My recommendation is not to have any food in this place since it is not as expected. If you are too curious, then you can try some fish fries.

Nice place. Approaching pathway could've been maintained better by clearing the rocks pebbles etc. It's just a oneday work for the authorities which collect a small entrance fee.

  • 2/5 Vijai A. 3 years ago on Google
The waterfall area is still being developed and there is a long way to go in terms of development. The waterfall is in an isolated place. There is no big waterfall , but wide stream of water. During rains it's not advisable as water is muddy. Due to muddy water it's difficult to walk as the depth is not visible (only during rains). There is only one small tent restaurant which is a non veg restaurant. There are no places to change dresses. I request our esteemed authorities to do more development for this Park. From Namakkal it took around 1 hour to reach this place. The roads were good and car entry toll was collected Rs 50 to this park.

Nature, water, mountain bed. Beautiful place. Less than 2 hrs drive from Trichy. You will enjoy the drive to the place first time. At times crowded like any other tourist spots. Very poorly maintained. Trash thrown around everywhere by the Visitors.

May be it’s a good place for people who are located in and around Namakkal & Trichy. People coming from far distance probably don’t like this place or it’s Okish for them. The flow of water is less when we went there.

Puliyancholi is a stready stream of water in a scenic background of kolli hills. Water quantity can wary based on rain in kolli hills. Big rocks in the stream add to the experience, but should be careful when wandering.

Puliyancholai is a dense forest region on the foot hills of kolli hills. It's a small village and reserved forest area comes understand the Tamilnadu forest department. It is located nearly 75 kilometres from trichy and the nearby major town is thuraiyur. It has a falls above the hills we have to be trek nearly 8.5 kms to reach the falls. The path of that falls is very hard to climb because of rocking stones. We have to take a bath on the stream and eat the local cuisine available in that area. One of the major tourist spot in that area.

Very good place for tracking. Advised only to go in cloudy season as it is very hot when sunny. Also bring your water bottle as there is no availability of drinking water up on the fort. There is one small temple and a majar on the top ( in fort). There is no any shade and no big trees also for shade. It is bare hill top.

  • 4/5 Sriharsha R. 3 years ago on Google
Lots of history exists on this fort. It was built by Krishnadevaraya and leter went to Bijapur sultanate, shahji, shivaji, hyder ali & later to British after first Anglo Mysore war.Hyder has built a baramahal which exists along with other temple structures. It has well laid out steps and sunrise views looks amazing.

Great place for trekking in humid climate with mountain fresh air and awesome view of Krishnagiri district will make you mesmerize. You will find many caves, forts on top of mountain. Many king/queen bathing ponds and great one is you can have One feet Pond in a cave which never drought and gives you mountain mineral water how much ever you take for it for drinking.

Great place for a short hike. We were able to reach the top in 35 minutes. Views from top of the fort are great. There were some monkeys near top of the fort but they didn’t seem to be aggressive and stayed away from us for the most part. Steps leading to the fort are a bit steep but quite safe. Entrance to these steps at the base is surrounded by a lot of houses and a bit difficult to reach due to narrow lanes. We managed to drive our car and park it nearby inside the large compound of a temple. If you have a big car you will have to park some distance away.

Road is very narrow from thuraiyur road left turn. Bus is available. Car parking rs 50.Work going on hydro project, so you may see 3 paths. Entrance rs 10 . Walk on middle path, water stream very chill. Have to go through rough rocks to get a good place. But very rough rocks, difficult to cross the stream too.. Rocks so slippy.. If with child don't go far.. Just sit in a place and dip.. No food only 2 or 3 shops. Guava pineapple available. So pack your own food..

Very nice place to visit.. Kids will enjoy this place.. Adults too will have enjoyment.. River is starting from kholli hills and this place where the bottom of Aagaya Gangai.. We can reach the water falls with proper guidance otherwise it's very difficult since it is a deep forest.. It's like an forest and path near by the water runway... Like trekking feeling.. The river is full of big stones and rocks.. Very Natural and Greenery.. Water is so chill.. water stream is very clear.. Water flow will vary by season change. Since it s a tourist place there where no restrooms or changing rooms.. It's difficult for ladies.. 2 small hotels are there.. Entry is 10rs for each.. We can see lots of monkeys over there... Totally it is full of enjoyment place, where we can make shoots and parties also.. Small shops also there for snacks.. Bus facility is available to reach the place.. and little walkable distance.. from Trichy it's about 60km.. Bachelor's alcohol party also takes place here.. Government should undertake this place to make neat and safety measures.. some road work is undergoing now..

Amazing place to go with family. Safe place and you can select your area to take bath. The more you hike you get clear water. But for aged is best to get into water in base level itself. Monkeys are there but they are not harming anyone. Ensure about the food that you carrying monkeys might approach you only for food if you take it out in front of them. If you take one stone it will run away from you. Overall it is a very good place to spend time with family members for hour of 2 to 3.

It's a good stream to view and enjoy with water. But the area is full of waste like paper, cups, bottles, etc. The toilet available in one corner of the entrance is very dirty. The government is collecting3 50rs for parking and 10rs per person3, but no maintenance back.

That place was very nice and beautiful with full of nature ❤️. Best place to visit with our family. But the visitors are destroyed the place by throwing the plastic waste, and washing the dresses, by using the shampoo and soap in the river. What ever see in the river shampoo covers and plastic bags 😷.This is the only thing make me sad about this place. I request to the forest department to take action and control the people's.
