The location of the property is excellent. The food is very good. The staff is good too. The rooms, bedding needs better maintenance. The so called morning trek is just walking on the road and at end is mentioned that its costs per head. So a morning walk on the road for 10 ppl will cost around 2000. Most resorts have it as part of package. The Kids play area has some charges which are not worth.

Amazing location. The place is right on the edge of the hill overviewing Salem city. The rooms designs are amazing. Consider staying at a viewpoint if you choose sterling. Amazing room service and very friendly people. The food is amazing, but still try out the local food. There are quite a bit of monkeys around just that don't leave any food or leftovers outside the doors, it creates a pattern for them for to scavenge for food, brings in close in contact with them, which is quite dangerous. Overall - a super stay, location and food. Overall it's a 5 star.

We came as a group of 17 people. The moment I entered the resort, it was an eye candy. The staffs are well mannered and courteous. The rooms were very clean. We were in the 3rd floor and the view from our room was simply fantastic. We stayed there for a night. I must say that the food was simply amazing. I couldn't stop filling my plate. Everything was freshly made. There is a live kitchen too. Also there is a small shop inside the resort that sells some beauty products. They are economically priced. Planning for a second visit soon just for the stay and the food! Kudos to the team for maintaining such a resort to the fullest and making it feel homely.

Would like to Give 6starts for Location. Loved the location. it is really amazing experience to stay here. Service was top notch. Anything requested were fulfilled in very short span of time. Food were also of good quality. Enjoyed the buffet service here. They maintained study flow of food to the buffet table.

Resort located in a great place, with hill/valley view right outside the room. Spacious balcony/seating area, great restaurant and very courteous staff. Good resort to have a pleasant stay in Yercaud. Note: Not an optimal place for senior citizens, since it is built along hill slope. Staff were very helpful though in arranging wheelchair and assistance in carrying my dad over stairs.

A perfect getaway, beautiful location and rooms. All touristy spots are nearby. Staff organizes wonderful evening fun events around bonfire which are a must to be part of, it is extremely engaging and elevates your entire experience. Good is very good. Please check in advance with reception if you have any issues with steps and walking as most rooms need lot of staircases besides lifts being there as it does not remove stairs entirely.

We stayed for a couple of nights over the Diwali period. The stay was very memorable. The location of the resort is simply breathtaking with a great view of the Salem city down below in the valley. The rooms were comfortable and cosy. The staff were very friendly and courteous. A special word of mention to the restaurant staff, who went out of their way to entertain and keep our little toddler occupied and happy, and served all that was asked with a smiling face and thereby making sure we all had a very pleasant and lovely experience. Would highly recommend their property.

We enjoyed the room location which is given for us. the view of sunset adorable and in night time when watching the view point from room it's like watching whole word. whole yercauds way view from starting. It's good worth of money .

It was one of the beautiful stay over the weekend. The check in experience was hassle free. The food at the restaurant was top notch. The buffet were an absolute value for money and also the best I have had among all the Sterling Resort properties so far. The indoor activities were also really good. The gym, though present, was way too small. The spa was also beautiful. The unique feauture about the resort is that it is on a hill slope so it offers an amazing view of Salem City from the rooms. And that is a con as well as there will be lot of walking inside the property and old people will find it a bit hard. The only bad thing we faced was that we were allotted a room with blocked view. When requested for a change, the front office was not helpful saying the resort is full already but I could see that was not the case. We were disappointed because of this.

I and my family had a wonderful time at Sterling Yercaud. The service is excellent. Right from Reception everyone, house-keeping, in-room dining service all are polite and do their duties superbly. My son wanted a room with a view of the town below. The receptionist obliged immediately without any qualms and showed him another room to his satisfaction which he accepted happily. This made the entire family very pleased. I give this resort ***** 5 stars without any hesitation.

We spent a night at the hotel, and the room did not meet our expectations as a 4 star hotel. The shower didn't have a curtain, and as a result, when we took a shower, the toilet and floor got wet. The tiles in the bath need cleaning. The room was painted, and paint smears were on the headboard. The room was not cleaned properly. The furniture for a 4 star hotel is dated. The base of the bed also seemed to have paint drops. The room also had a musky smell. We were put in the very last room at the bottom, and it was a mission to get to the dining area or other amenities. On the plus side, the views from the hotel are amazing. It's close to the tourist sites and the breakfast was good.

Had a great time with the family. The resort is good. The location is awesome. But one needs to be fit to move around. The rooms are situated on a inclined surface and regular ascend/descend on staircase is required to move around. Most of the rooms have great balconies.

This is one of the best among the sterling resorts... it's a resort located to the cliff and near to local sight seeing. The whole team starting from the securities from the gate, the warm welcoming reception team,.. the house keeping team... the various mouth watering food providers ( the catering team) everyone owes an applause...

We had a good time at the resort. The rooms were clean and cozy. The staff were friendly. A special thanks to Mr. Akram, who compiled fun activities at the camp fire.

Had a warm welcome. Room and view too good. Location is awesome. Great view from hill corner. Same as like other view points like lady seat. Close to major attractions. Got coffee power and spices as complimentary. Service is too good. Prompt service. Breakfast has lot many variety of food and juices. Taste delicious Road to hotel was narrow for few meters. Rooms interior could have been better. Few play items are chargeable in play area. Now sure why. Bathroom handle some time crashing hand in room 312. Beware of monkeys.

Nice place. However the location of property doesn't allow easy movement from one place to another as it's steps all over and may leave you confined to rooms. Nevertheless food was excellent.

We had a great time with family at the resort. This was my second visit. Thoroughly enjoyed the breathtaking view of the valley by day and night from our room balcony. The hospitality was wonderful.

Good hospitality and service. Preferable stay especially when you travel with kids and infants. Food is top notch and affordable. They prepare food for infants as per our requirements. There is a small bar and the rates of Indian spritis are affordable. Only con of the facility is accessibility of rooms. You have to use stairs and it can be challenging for elderly people.

The stay was very comfortable. The rooms were neat and clean. The staffs were super friendly. When booking room , make sure that you ask for a room that faces the west preferably above an higher floor. The view is splendid. If you are travelling with elders , make sure you inform the reception and get a room close to the restaurant or exit. There are lot of steps to climb if the room is interior and it might be difficult for elders Overall a comfortable and silent stay.

It is located in a nice location but be prepared to use a lot of steps both up and down within the resort. The rooms are ok and a little outdated so the cost vs comfort ratio is slightly on the cost side rather than comfort-food served is 3star and not even close to a 5star hotel standard Staff are good and take personal care of the guests Overall quite a Standard Experience - i did feel a little letdown overall basis the cost incurred during our visit in Dec22 probably bcos of the end of year rates

The room category was classic and it was really disgusting and never ever seen in even three-star hotel rating and geyser water same as t*****t water you see the below picture of the water and one thing I want to tell that food is good. I would request a hell out of times for that and nobody responded i was frustrated luckily we didn't even bath we went to waterfalls we had a bath. Finally, Room was pathetic and it was a horrible experience.

It was really a pleasant stay. It has got everything, in terms of scenic view, restaurant, spa and indoor play area. It could have been better if swimming pool was available but it's okay. Overall, it's a place where you can spend and rejuvenate yourself.

Very nice place and restart. Hotel Is located on very beautiful place. Restaurant is also good. Food is nice. Only the one thing can be improved is toilets cleanness on the restaurant toilets. In rest all fine.

One of the best stay. Food is awesome. Fresh and tasty. You don't have travel anywhere. Just sit sterling and watch sunset and the beauty of the city. Lovely place. Gives 180 degree view of the city.

Nice place and nice view (not for all the rooms). But the price is too high, just for the brand. Even if we pay 7-10k per night we will get non-view rooms. Other services are fine. No other flaws or complaints. But it's not worth it to have lots of stay available for comparatively better price.

The location of the resort is such that it experiences the climatic changes quite rapidly. Food as usual is great. Quality of services are good. If you are lucky to get a room at cheaper deal, be prepared to pay a premium for the food. And the food is really worth the premium.

Sterling Yercaud is a very nice property located at a very high altitude. The rooms were quite spacious. From this restore you can view the hill ranges and the Salem city at the foot hills. At night the lights of the city resemble stars below. The restore itself has good view points of the valley. The restore staff were very cordial and polite and the room service and restaurant service was very fast. A good place to visit to take a short break from a busy life schedule.

Great location and views. Staff were very polite and service was overall very impressive. Rooms were above average partly due to the age of the property as they smelled musty and hot water was an issue due to limited quantities from the geyser. Food was quite good at the restaurant and the spa was pretty decent too. Overall a good place if you can overlook a few issues mentioned with the room.

Excellent location for your stay. While booking please ask for rooms nearby the reception if you have old people or kids. We have to walk nearly 50-80 steps if you are located in last room. Indoor play area is a good place to spend time with family. Lot of collection of games and helpful staffs.

  • 5/5 Sudarshan V. 2 years ago on Google
One of the best resorts with excellent views. Recommend taking the premium balcony room option, totally worth it. It's quite an old resort but is still well maintained by the team. You have to walk over a lot of stair mazes in this place but it's quite an experience too. Breakfast and dinner buffet had a nice spread and the items were good. Everyone in the staff are well trained and know what they are doing. There is an indoor games area with kids play section too. Will enhance your experience of Yercaud

The place is so beautiful! The view at night is just spectacular. We went on a weekend trip with our one year old. The food was customised for our baby’s needs. The restaurant serves very good food with a variety to choose from. The buffet had great spread. But it was very expensive. There is DJ night and play area was well maintained and we had a good time.
