Wow! I was in town a week ago and hopped on a rowing machine (aka ERG) and sweat it out! I am a member of the Santa Monica Row House and it was a real treat to work out at another location. It's SUPER CLEAN with a welcoming shower, fresh water dispenser to refill your water bottle, secure lockers that don't need a lock (just put in four numbers and voila! The locker is yours!) and have a great time with a great community! Most of the machines are outdoors which offer beautiful views of the river locks by the North End. The staff is really friendly and I had a great time there. Whether you're a member or not, it's a great place to get your rowing in Boston without getting wet - except for sweating!

Everyone is here so welcoming and friendly!! As someone who regularly goes to boutique fitness studios around Boston, Row House has the warmest atmosphere from the instructors to everyone else in the class. Their outdoor classes during sunrise and sunset hours are absolutely stunning. Gyee and Haley always check-in especially with newcomers to make sure everything goes smoothly and everyone feels comfortable. There’s soooo much encouragement and the instructors are dedicated to helping people anywhere along their fitness journey. Honestly, this class has converted me into a morning workout person!! Bleh- but the hardest part is getting yourself there. Nothing really hits the same as watching the skies, listening to good music, surrounded by fresh air and positive energy ☀️ You get the most beautiful views of the bridge and the water!! Definitely try before winter while we still have the sun!!!

As someone who tends to have a lot of anxiety tied to “going to the gym” I was fairly nervous to attend my first ever rowing class. Let me tell you, it was a blast!! The staff were super helpful in covering the basics before the class began so I was familiar with the movements. It was a very welcoming and friendly environment, I had so much fun I booked a themed row for later this week. Looking forward to it!

I started taking classes at Row House on 7/30/2021. I began classes with a recommendation from my doctor to help build strength in my shoulder after undergoing several surgical procedures on my right shoulder in May. The classes have helped me more than the Physical therapy. The Row House instructors are incredible, they’re very supportive and encouraging! They celebrate everyone’s milestones and are so very welcoming! I love the classes not only have they helped improve my strength physically but they have done wonders for my mental health as well!

This place is great. I’m not really an active person but the staff is so super welcoming and encouraging that it changed even me. I’m certainly hooked, even after one class! Come by the wharf and start pulling with me!

I’ve fallen in love with Rowhouse! A friend asked me to try Rowhouse with her during the summer (first time for both of us) and it was so fun (in addition to being a great low impact workout) - the outdoor classes on Lovejoy wharf can’t be beat. Views of Zakim, wind in your hair, sunshine on your face, and a team that genuinely cares. I’ve become stronger (and pleasantly surprised at my own enjoyment!) as the app tracks all of your rowing stats - and I can see and feel the improvement! If you’re waffling, try a few intro classes and you’ll be hooked too!

Row House at Lovejoy Wharf in Boston is more than a fitness facility. It is a place where teamwork, and friendships are created. Gyee, the owner and coach takes her time to welcome everyone and make you feel like a part of the team and not just a member. Nick is the best front of the line guy. And of course, if you want a coach that is fun and full of energy take a class with Haley!!

First timer here. The folks at Row House were awesome. Checked in throughout the class to make sure I was good. Super friendly. The signature class was so much fun and trust me I am not in combat shape :)

I started rowing for the first time at the end of May. I needed to find a way to increase my cardio workout. After the first class I was hooked. A little less than 3 months later, more than 250K kilometers completed and I've enjoyed my time of the wharf. 3 or more mornings a week, out on the wharf, you watch the boats and water as you row. The classes are all different, they include strength training, either body weight or dumb bells is a great complement. In the past I've done spinning, but this combination of strength and cardio gives you a more rounded workout. The coaches are all incredible, consistent and looking to help you achieve your best results.

I love Row House! This is my 3rd different location, and it's fantastic no matter which location you go to. The instructors are so friendly and helpful, but they know how to push you hard in class. The classes are great for all shapes and sizes, and don't strain my joints like other types of workouts. Would highly recommend you give rowing a chance!!

Everyone was so friendly! The class worked me out in all the right places. The membership prices were super reasonable. I would definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to begin, or take their health journey to the next level.

I had so much fun at my first class the other day! I was nervous that I wouldn’t be able to do it but the instructor was awesome and everyone was so welcoming. I made it through and can’t wait to go back next weekend.

The studio was a bit small, but everyone that works there form the front desk to the instructors was welcoming and very helpful. Steph was an awesome Instructor really motivating! Such a great workout!!!

Who knew rowing could be so fun ?! You know when you get lost in a good workout and time flies because it’s enjoyable but the workout is still super effective. This was just that. I’m looking forward to seeing how adding these classes to my regimen transforms my body and overall fitness level. Also, as someone who’s experienced how intimidating it can be to branch out into new workouts and new environments, I can’t neglect to mention how incredibly warm and welcoming the staff was, as were the other members ! Very very highly recommended, so much fun !

Went to the Row House for the first time on Sunday. They are very organized and made sure that first time visitors knew what to do and they were very helpful and pleasant. The workout was fun and a very good aerobic workout, yet it was not extreme for anyone concerned about over doing it. I will definitely be going back.

Monique was so friendly and took the time to patiently show me and my friends how to row before class began. During class she brought the energy to the room with her uplifting words- motivating us to push harder. I’ve been sore the past few days! I’m excited to come again soon.

Love their outdoor classes, especially the signature one. It alternates rowing with bodyweight exercises

Row House is great! The work out is amazing as are all the instructors but the best thing about Row House is the sense of community and inclusiveness, this is what keeps me going back day after day.

Fitness here is so fun! Coaches are passionate, extremely encouraging and total pros. I’ve been rowing for many years at CrossFit. Then found this place and takes my rowing to the next level. Row together with the whole class, to the beat of the music and the meters just keep racking up and the 45 min is done in a flash. Time flies when you’re rowing at row house. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for low impact, high fun fitness. Rowing experience not necessary, these coaches will teach you the way.

Newly opened! This awesome rowing studio focus on forms, equipped with great machines, changing room/showers, lockers, towels and water cooler. Lastly, they send out a workout summary after each class, this includes total meters, average split, best split along with best lifetime stats.

I’ve always struggled to find a cardio activity that I actually enjoyed - until I discovered Row House LJW! I’ve been a member since April ‘22 and have really fallen in love with rowing. It’s fun, low impact, fast-paced, music-driven, and the classes often incorporate light weights as well. It certainly helps that everyone who works and rows here is so sweet & encouraging! This studio is incredibly clean and accommodating (filtered water, lockers, towels, hair ties & feminine products). I definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re looking to mix up your workout routine and meet some really great people.

I attended a session at the Row House and it was fun and lovely! I loved the instructor. She explained how to use the machines and gave us ample time to try out and get accustomed to the machine. The session was intense and the instructor was pretty motivating to keep us all going. In terms of location, the building is easy to access from North Station. Would definitely recommend!

The classes here are so much fun! All of the instructors are very welcoming and do a great job explaining how to use the rowing machines. I’ve been coming here for a few months now and have loved every minute of it.

First time visiting Row House Fitness, went with friends that are members. Instructor and staff are super friendly, receive texts and call before the class to make sure I knew what to expect. Instructor went over equipment, setup, and insight into different classes. Facility was clean. Everyone in the class looked excited to be there. Will definitely return!

I love these classes! The coaches are all so knowledgeable, strong, positive, and energetic - as is the Row House at Lovejoy Wharf, there is a warm and welcoming vibe. I enjoy a variety of the different classes they offer - all are great. As a woman in my 60s I really appreciate the strength training and the powerful leg and core workout. I have noticed positive changes in both my water skiing and snow skiing.

I’ve been a Row House member since February of 2022. I have completed over 500,000 meters and also participated in a half marathon. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. Coaches are knowledgeable and attentive. Love the option for outside classes. Highly recommend to anyone looking to meet new people and get a great cardio workout.

Row house is an amazing and welcoming place for all ages due to the workouts low impact nature. The different class types ensure you never get board and always have what you’re looking for (more rowing or more strength training). The owners, coaches and staff all really care to take the time to get to know you and have spent countless hours helping members better their form to prevent injuries and ensure the most produce workout! The studio provides a community as well as a fitness location; we’ve had studied birthday parties, themed & charity rows, and countless brunches/dinners. As an active member, I hope you’ll join us for a class soon!

I never thought I'd enjoy rowing, especially in a class workout setting since I love working out by myself and doing my own thing. But this has been such a pleasant surprise and I love it!! The instructors are great (all women, woo!) and it's been so fun being in swing with a bunch of people and working hard together. Highly recommend!! (Disclaimer: it's pricey and I almost didn't stick with it for this reason - try to sign up when there's discounts/deals)

Went for a trial class and did the Monday evening strength row. The instructor was really helpful getting me set up. The class was a mix of rowing intervals and strength training intervals. For the rowing, you match the paddle rate of the instructor/music and adjust your split time to work harder or easier depending on what they tell you to do. It's a good workout and it's fun to try to push that split time lower!

I'm in the rowing world and have been following Row House for a while. It looked like a fun experience, so I decided to make the trek to give it a try. I must say, I've never enjoyed 45 minutes of indoor rowing this much before. The workout was fantastic, and the instruction struck the perfect balance between offering helpful tips and technique guidance while still allowing participants to get a great workout. What I really appreciated is the team-oriented approach that takes off the individual pressure. You can push yourself, and they encourage you to do so, but the class doesn't try to force you to go too hard. The instructor was highly knowledgeable, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone, whether you're a seasoned rower or just looking for something new. You'll get an efficient and incredibly fun workout that's worth every minute.

5/5 I fell in love since my first class and already signed up! The coaches are so engaging with us and the music and tell you how to improve to row better and faster. Both outdoor and indoor scenarios are great. Outdoor you get the water view and headphones, while indoor you have the music and cool lights! Super coaches to try your first or other classes: Monique, Haley, and Evonne! Try, rowing, it's worth it 🚣‍♀️

Row house is great! As soon as I walked in, the staff made me feel welcomed. Steve showed me around and introduced me to coach Kayla, and she walked me through the setup. The intro class was super fun! Loved it so much I knew I was coming back for sure!!
