My mother has been to Mountainview Hospital in Payson a few times as her failing health has required. I am always so impressed with how well she is taken care of. Today, I had to wait for a bit while they changed her sheets and cleaned things up for her. I had occasion to chat a bit with a woman on the housekeeping staff. She told me about her five kids and wonderful family, and I am thinking about what a challenge things must be for her raising kids and working at a high-risk job like clean up at a hospital. You see, my moms illness is miserable and highly contagious. The clean-up crew goes into rooms that have so many bio hazards and do the vital work of making that room safe for those visiting, safe for the patients, and more comfortable for everyone around. The doctors and nurses can not do their lifesaving work without the help of these wonderful people. This woman speaks several languages and is very smart. She could work just about anywhere she wanted, but she lends her happy attitude and kindness to Mountainview and the people there. She quickly makes rooms ready and gives comfort to puerile like my mom, who are facing really tough challenges. Please can you help me tell her and those who work with her how valuable they all are. I can't remember her name. (It's four or five letters and starts with "H," I believe. I think it ends with an A ... but how many people work in clean-up and speak several languages?) Maybe Hinda? I feel so bad I can't remember her name

Wonderful experience here! My expectations were exceeded with the staffs prompt care and attentiveness. As a first-time mom, I had a lot of anxiety going into delivery with my baby. The nurses (Paige & Michelles) were so reassuring and helpful with providing education and guidance. I was also super impressed with the postpartum care, where you literally get your own queen bed to share with your partner. Comfortability 10/10, Service 10/10. I will never forget how pleasant they made my first birth experience.

The nurses in labor and delivery are amazing! They were caring, attentive and very fast to respond. Each one that we worked with went above and beyond to make sure we had the best care. I can't say enough how great our experience was, a big thank you to all the staff for making us feel at home!

Received in ER via ambulance. Care by ER team was great. Kept me advised of what was going on with my plan of care. Moved to surgery and had the same great care. I know I was a bit rowdy when I came out of anesthesia. I apologize for anything off color or mean I may have said! I was moved to neurology floor and had the greatest care by my nurses and CNA’s. I would have these woman care for me anytime. And the food was good.

I've taken my son here a few times to detox in the ER. Every visit went from scared as hell to its gonna be OK. They are super fast getting patients in and stabilized. The staff is kind and attentive. They know what to do without judging. They saved my sons life!! I Love this place❤️

If you can help it and have the choice to go somewhere else, you should. My dad fell on the ice in January, we called an ambulance and he was brought here, one of the people on the ambulance was quite rude to start with but I let it go. When I got to the hospital my dad was still in a ton of pain and needed X-rays on his knee, they brought in a portable X-ray machine and the people who were doing it were hurting my dad and were not being careful and he told them that multiple times but they didn’t seem to care. We ended up being told that it was deep bruising and he would be healed in a few weeks. My dad had two more falls after this in my house and we ended up taking him back to the ER for the second one where they did the same portable xrays and found nothing. We were told at this point that we couldn’t get an MRI because everyone had gone home for the night and since it wasn’t urgent, nobody could be called in, this was around 9 PM. We were told to see an orthopedic doctor for an MRI which we did and found out at that point that my dad actually had a torn tendon. My dad had surgery today at revere health and the tendon was completely unattached and not only that, because it has been so long since the initial fall, the tendon was trying to heal itself and was scarred down in the wrong place. My dad is in so much pain and his recovery time is 6 months. Why did they not recommend an MRI when this happened? Why did they basically do nothing for him? If an MRI had been done initially, he wouldn’t have had two more falls and the surgery wouldn’t have been as extensive. Don’t go here if you have any other choice.

Very clean and modern facility. They were able to get me in & seen quickly. Treatment was aggressive and prompt! Which is exactly what was needed! Nursing staff was kind and attentive. Doctor was quick to address my health emergency. My only disappointment was the nurse jabbed that IV needle in and literally dug around to find a vein. Um Ouch!!! Other than that it was a 5 star experience.

Having had surgeries or other procedures done at most hospitals in Utah valley, my experience at Mountain View hospital was by far the best patient experience ever. Not that the other hospitals were bad, Mountain View was remarkably better in every way. We were treated kindly and professionally by all providers and administrative workers. All aspects of surgery were performed with skill and care and attention to detail. The hospital is willing to invest in expensive equipment that other Utah Valley hospitals won’t. This equipment was the reason we ended up doing the surgery in Payson. I live on the other end of Utah valley and the extra 30 minute drive was no issue when I look back on the level of service I received.

I've been to the ER twice in the last 2 weeks. Both times the nurses and doctors were so wonderful. They went above and beyond to get me feeling better and answer all my questions. It's a very small hospital but very clean and pretty.

Worst experience I’ve had ever at a hospital. Originally the staff was good but then things went downhill fast. The lactation specialist was just a nurse who didn’t really provide a lot of help. Had to hire an actual one outside of the hospital that knew what they were doing. The billing department has been a massive joke. It’s the gift that keeps on giving. I’ve clarified multiple times that I would get no more bills. Each time I’m told no more and then another shows up. I ask for itemized bills and I get smoke screens. One bill showed up for 500 and then magically the portal shows 650 and zero explanation from these guys. It’s literally a bunch of crooks running the billing department. Poor service mixed with shady accounting. Sounds like California or New York. I had low expectations but this was impressive to say the least.

Good care, but the er fees are simply outrageous! I'm still having billing issues with them from an er visit in April 2023. The problem is incorrect billing from the hospital/er doctor to my insurance. How hard can it be to fix this? I and my insurance have spoken to the hospital and the er doctor to get this fixed multiple times, and it still has not been corrected 8 months later.

For most part the staff and nurses were nice to me. Few odd things happened thought. Social worker asked my gender preference. Nurse gave me medication before doctor prescribed it. Four meals they messed up and Im vegetarian and couldn't eat them. They did a little of the behavioral stress test things. They tired a little to treat the anorexia but lost five pounds there. They did set my in a room one night with someone that was high or having some kinda mental break which think needed to be in the emergency mental hospital before being there. Hospital mainly treats people with drug addiction and don't do drugs. Really needed a hospital for mental and anorexia. Not sure why this year when have seeked help have been sent to wrong place.

I had a phenomenal experience at the Mountain View Hospital with the birth of my second baby. Staff was supportive and knowledgeable and coached me through an unmedicated delivery. I got to keep the same nurse when transferring from labor and delivery to the post partum unit. The queen size beds in the post partum unit were amazing! We had fewer interruptions and enjoyed a much more quiet and intimate experience than at another hospital. It was very reassuring to deliver at a small hospital that still has a level 2 NICU. Absolutely recommend.

Disappointed . anaesthetist 👎🏼 my epidural didn’t work when he was called back in to see if he could do something about it he said “I just ordered food “ and didn’t show up . Then when transferring to post postpartum room ac wasn’t working first it was freezing cold then way hot someone came 2 times to Try to fix but wasn’t able to so we had to keep door open . Nurse’s were amazing tho all so nice and helpful.

Words cannot express our gratitude to the staff in labor and delivery at Mountain View! The nurses were incredible, attentive, caring, compassionate and all around great!! We had a longer than expected stay for both myself and baby and they made being there a complete joy. They were so helpful with our baby and assisting us with everything. Letting us get sleep and watching our boy, getting us delicious treats and whatever we needed. They made you feel important and not like just another patient. When I was scared they made me laugh and showed concern for me. When I needed to shower Kristi got drenched helping me. You are so vulnerable and in need and not once did they complain or make me feel bad. They put up with us and we enjoyed their company. You won't go wrong having a baby here. So amazing! Thank you!!

My father was in there for 8 days. While in the ICU his care and all the nurses were incredible. The were compassionate and caring and very professional. He did have 1 day in the Medical Surgery room, there the nurse was not even comparable. He kept telling them something was wrong and she dismissed him and said the monitor looks fine and for several hours refused to even call or consult the doctor he was asking for. Eventually she called the doctor, the doctor really did not listen and sent him across the street to a rehab center in the afternoon. The next morning he was taken by ambulance back to the hospital and ICU. He later passed away. Not saying that it was a cause of that, since it seemed like it would have happened regardless. Its just that he knew something was wrong and no one on that side of the 3rd floor seemed to care, while the ICU side was incredible. Every other time everyone in the hospital on prior experiences have been great, not sure if it was just that 1 nurse or something in that section.

My husband and I had an amazing experience at Mountain View Hospital with the birth of our first child. The nurses were amazing during labor and delivery, they answered all of our questions, and helped us a lot each night we were there. I would highly recommend their Labor and Delivery department to everyone. And I plan to go back for our next child.

Good place for the procedure I had. The only reason gave the 4 stars is because of lack of communication with the family member that brought me. She had to finally ask about what was going on. It has been better in the previous visits with other family members who have had this procedure done. 🤷‍♀️

We arrived at the ER with my wife needing a blood transfusion and a D&C after birth. It was a scary situation, but the staff jumped right in and did everything they could to get the situation under control. Everything was successful, and the staff took great care of us! We have had some not-so-great experiences at other hospitals, so this was a welcome difference. It felt like the staff really cared and there was no judgement, no pushiness, and no "holier than thou" attitude. The nurses took great care of us and even celebrated our anniversary with a delicious special dinner while my wife was still recovering (see photo)! Every member of the staff was attentive and compassionate, and we would certainly recommend this hospital to anyone. Thank you to the staff for literally saving my wife and treating us so well! You are miracle workers! :)

I just delivered my baby here and I have nothing but great things to say. From the time we arrived until we left I felt so well taken care of. Every single nurse that I came in contact with was knowledgeable and kind and they all did everything they could to make sure I was comfortable. It was such a great experience.

I loved a lot about delivering here. The hospital is small so the staff was right on anything I needed. They were constantly asking how I was doing and if I needed anything while also giving me my space which was perfect. Really the only complaint I have is communication was not their strong point. I went in at 5:00 to be induced but then was told that there was a Pitocin shortage and that the doctor wasn’t going to be in until 1:00 to break my water so I sat in bed with an epidural for hours before anything could move forward. I wish they would have had me come in at noon and not 5:00.

We recently had our baby at Mountain View Hospital. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. From the administration, to the nurses and doctors, everyone was incredibly kind, helpful, knowledgable, and went above and beyond to care for the well being of our growing family. I'm so grateful we chose this hospital to have our first baby and would highly recommend them to any expecting parent.

Everything went great, staff was great, courteous. I have read others about how early their appointment was, mine was at 5:30 am but that was because of the doctor not necessarily the hospital. Some do theirs early so they can get to their office to see patients. Those that don't want it early tell you doctor. Again, mine was set for 5:30, there is prepping for surgery and then waiting for the doctor. And I was home by 9:30 am after recovery. I am happy.

I was instructed by Urgent Care to go directly to the ER for further testing. I chose Mountain View and I’m so glad I did. The level of care and professionalism I received while there was excellent and so welcomed by me. You can trust in this hospital’s efficiency as well as the efforts and care you’ll receive from the entire staff. My experience there was such a positive one and you can trust that your experience will be a positive one as well.

I recently had surgery at Mountain View Hospital and then stayed there for 3 days. The nurses and CNAs were very attentive, efficient and caring. The physical therapists were great at pushing me to do what was best for my recovery. Among the many surgeries I’ve had, Mountain View ranks among the best.

I've had several surgeries over the years. This was one of the best surgical experiences I've had. The surgical team was excellent. The nursing care following the surgery was excellent. They also included my husband with information, and allowing him to be part of my recovery team. I received physical therapy and clear recovery instructions from my post-op care team, in addition to the nursing care. I went into this surgery apprehensive. I came out feeling better and with better care than I'd anticipated. While claiming surgery is a pleasant experience is stretching the imagination, I will say that as surgeries go, this one turned into a good experience for me.

The nurses were fine. I do not understand why we had to do it so early. I live alone and my sister had to come and get me to bring me. She lives an hour and a half away so she had to leave her house at 430 AM to get to my house so we could get to the hospital in time. The original request was for me to be there at 5:30. Why does it have to start that early? This to me says that the hospital/doctor/staff does not care a whole lot about the patient. They just want to be home earlier Next time, if possible, I will go to a different hospital.

Marla and Pete in the endoscopy lab were exceptional! They checked on me frequently and made sure I was comfortable. Everyone from admitting to discharge were very kind and efficient. I would highly recommend your hospital!

The nurses were the best I had ever had.. They were on top of the pain I didn't feel like just another number. I felt like I was important... My nurses are what made my whole stay that much easier for me. I really can't talk highly enough of my experience. It was a great experience...

I came in to have double jaw surgery performed. The nursing staff was fantastic. Checked on my regularly enough but not so much so I could rest. They made sure my wife was fed, and same with myself. The room I stayed in was cozy and big. Haven't seen the bill yet, but it's a hospital, so what are you gonna do?

I had such a wonderful experience on the labor and delivery floor at MVH. The staff treated me like family and made me feel special. The queen size beds in the recovery rooms made it feel like we were at home. I highly recommend delivering here because it is much more of a personal experience then you can get at other hospitals!

My 92 year old mother was admitted through the ER and was a patient for 3 days. The staff was excellent! Very caring, helpful, and patient. Communication was great between staff, and family members. They followed through on questions and we felt very informed. A very positive experience for a hospital stay.

Unless you have no other option, I would highly encourage you not to have anything to do with this hospital. I was sent here as a trauma patient on 10/7/23 and received an abysmal level of care. After coming in as part of a serious OHV accident, I was discharged after only an hour and a half when I realized this hospital does not offer quality care. In fact, they are right on the border of malpractice. I was splinted up and sent on my way with an iffy referral to be with my son at Primary Children’s with trust that my care was at least decent. Three days later I was sent to Utah Valley Hospital where I had all of my scans redone, new fractures in my leg were found, and we learned that the injuries on my leg in the splint did not even have the dirt or blood cleaned off of them and were not treated at all at the hospital. Rather than being given a referral, I was schedule the next day to meet with an orthopedic surgeon. If you are in an accident anywhere in southern Utah Valley and can make it, do yourself a favor and push for Utah Valley.
