Good home style burgers with lots of options for toppings. It is not fancy but sometimes you just want a quick burger and fries that is a step above fast food. The cheeseburger basket with fries is a great value at 7.95.

Great selection at good prices. They have amazing portion sizes and everything is flavorful. Their produce is very crisp and fresh. Customer service is prompt respectful and fast!! There turn around time for the meal is quick. I'm struggling with the 5 stars because I think that they deserve more!

Very happy with the food here very happy with the cooking staff here always makes my burger really good...really disappointed with the employee not letting me do an order to go without charging me for a mask to pick up my food... I had to wear a mask to pick my food which is fine but then I look at my receipt later and then find out that I had to pay 50 cents more for a mask when all masks should be complementary to the customer especially when the business requires it. I can probably change my review later..

First off... the food is amazing. Dare I say best burger in town? Amazing fries with good fry sauce. A regular sauce fry is enough to feed at least 3 people. 4 stars only because their soda machine needs a good cleaning. The Sierra mist was disgusting.

Unfortunately it is hit and miss with Nancy’s. I ordered online, something I’ve done before and somehow my order was wrong… not sure how that happens. My bun was so overly toasted it was inedible. The meat from my burger was as dry as a hockey puck. The cheese on my daughter’s burger looked like it had been run over by a truck - literally, it had tread of some kind on it! The fries… typically amazing, this time, not so much. The were cold, had semi-coagulated oil oozing from them, they were limp as could be, and didn’t even taste like a potato - they tasted like a combination of other fried foods and old cooking oil! Nancy’s isn’t super expensive, but they aren’t cheap either. I’ve had dollar burgers that were better than this go around. I’m so disappointed, when they are good, they are really good; this just isn’t my first awful experience there and I’m not sure I’ll go back again.

Nancy Jo's Burger and Fries is a hidden gem for anyone seeking a classic burger and fries experience in Oregon. From the moment you step in, you're greeted by the irresistible aroma of sizzling burgers and perfectly seasoned fries. This place has mastered the art of simplicity, and the results are outstanding. The burgers are a true work of culinary craftsmanship – juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Whether you prefer a classic cheeseburger or something more adventurous, their menu has something to satisfy every burger craving. And don't even get me started on their fries! They are, without a doubt, some of the best in the state. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned just right. You won't be able to resist going back for more. What makes Nancy Jo's truly special is the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. It's the kind of place where you walk in as a customer and leave as a friend. The staff are always ready with a smile and a warm greeting, making your dining experience all the more enjoyable. So, if you're on the hunt for a burger joint that takes the art of burger and fries to the next level, Nancy Jo's is the place to be. It's a taste of pure, unadulterated comfort food that never disappoints. Your taste buds will thank you, and you'll find yourself craving those burgers and fries time and time again.

The classic American experience. The burgers here actually are made wonderfully, and the taste of it really boosts up this place reputation. If you are looking for a burger that isn't made "cheap", this is your go to

Do not patronage this business. I was refused service while wearing a mask by an intolerant individual. The individual was a dictator to say the very least.

Aren’t servers required to wear a mask and gloves? Nancy Jo, come on! At this point it’s unsanitary not to. Next time I’ll send the food back and that’s a waste places like yours can’t afford!

Overall, the service was excellent, and the wait time to receive my order was reasonable. However, there were a few disappointing aspects. My order arrived promptly, but unfortunately, the fries were served cold, and the bacon was severely undercooked, making it inedible.

I really love this burger joint. But after waiting for 15 minutes. Without being helped or having my other order taken with only two individuals in the hole restaurant I had to walk out. Hopefully my next experience is better. Supposedly this is acceptable because of covid but I've never had this experience before. Between there multiple locations.

Let me say, we typically love Nancy Jos, but I got horrid service tonight. I had ordered online to pick up two burgers, fries, and 2 shakes at 5:15. I arrived at 5:16pm to find my order hadn’t been started, or apparently received since the girl wrote down my entire order from my phone with no explanation. She then told me she couldn’t make milkshakes because of her arm, but ended up deciding to ask her coworkers behind the grill to make the shakes, while she disappeared. The grill guy made the shakes, looking frustrated. When the girl returned, she asked which one had the peanut butter and he shrugged and said he didn’t know it was supposed to have peanut butter. The girl then packed them to go without fixing the problem and didn’t notify me. She set the shakes on the counter and also didn’t tell me they were ready. When I got home after waiting 15 minutes at the store for my food and shakes, my husband’s big bacon cheeseburger was missing bacon and bbq sauce and my burger had a wilted piece of lettuce. Overall, I’m not impressed tonight and will be trying another location next time.

I was passing through Salem yesterday and Nancy's Burgers was recommended so I decided to stop. What a mistake! None of the employees were wearing masks or gloves. The person waiting the counter was more interested in taking phone orders than waiting on the line of customers in front of her. That counter person was also taking money and making milk shakes without wearing gloves or using hand disinfectant. The soft drinks were almost all water and when we received our order it was cold. They did not give us any napkins and there were no trash receptacles. Stay away and go to Five Guy's instead.

This place has definitely gone downhill. For whatever reason they started serving their burgers in to-go containers, so they're a pain to eat now. The sauce on the burger gets everywhere and the burger is too hot to even hold without the paper they used to use to wrap them. Everything on the burger was sticking out the sides, the cooks clearly don't know how to build a burger without it falling apart. On top of that, the bacon was undercooked, and the customer service was poor. Will not be eating here again.

Passing through on our way to Eugene I was looking for a local burger joint that would be different from the usual national chain places. We found it at Nancy Jo's Burgers. Wow. Big and tasty burgers and a generous heap of fries (large) that we shared. Even better than I had hoped for.

  • 1/5 Derek C. 1 year ago on Google
I came here with family who hyped the place up a lot more than it deserved. The burgers are exactly what I would expect at a fast food place: thin patty, too much bun, vegetables of questionable providence, and an overuse of condiments. Unfortunately, that McDonald's burger experience comes with a sit down restaurant price tag. Skip the fries. I've never had worse. They were bland, oil-flavored sticks of disappointment.

  • 1/5 Jesse W. 1 year ago on Google
Good food. Unfortunately it all came in Styrofoam. Our shake came in a plastic cup. Frustrating since we were dining in. Will not eat here again until they use biodegradable containers or dishware.

  • 5/5 Mike J. 4 years ago on Google
Definitely a new favorite of mine. The Burger was done great. Juicy Tasty patties, Properly cooked crispy Bacon, French fries were fresh and A very large amount were provided. Milk shake was one of the best I've had in years from a establishment. I went in with high expectations and all were met.

    Great Burgers!!!

  • 2/5 Renée 1 year ago on Google
Burger was really good, but the meat fell apart and crumbled out of the bun. The small fries was more than 2 people could eat, so bravo in portions. But the reason we can't come back is that each of their burgers comes in a Styrofoam container. How are they still using this toxic, non biodegradable garbage? Please change this, please.

Cool little Five Guys like burger place. Good food and everything was much fresher than a chain burger joint.

  • 3/5 Gary W. 1 year ago on Google
I've now tried to eat here 3x, but only succeeded twice. Once (my 2nd visit) they informed me of being shorthanded and a long delay (over 20 mins), but I didn't have time for that long of delay. But they are usually slow and I often don't have time during lunch to wait. Good is great and staff is very friendly - but just beware, it's not going to be fast. Which is too bad actually.

  • 5/5 Jasper B. 1 year ago on Google
They don’t mess around. Burgers are very large and rich. A large fry is a whole paper bag of thick, crispy fries. Would come again.

  • 3/5 M 1 year ago on Google
The burgers and fries were decent. Blonde gal at the front really seemed to hate being there and annoyed that there were customers. Pretty impatient and bothered that customers had some questions. The thing that really stuck out to me was how dirty the restaurant was. There was food on the walls, the booths were sticky, the area near the drinks was filthy, and the trashes were overflowing despite it being not very busy. I felt like I needed a shower after eating there lol. The fry sauce out of the metal canister tasted oddly sour and bad so I just had ketchup. I think i’ll be sticking to five guys up the road… much cleaner and more consistent quality. I will say the cooks were very friendly and seemed to be the best part about the restaurant so good job to them. Maybe i’ll try the other locations and post an update.

I can't find a better hotdog other than Costco, but that's not fair. This is as good if not better because I don't have to fight a demon before leaving like Costco.

It's rare to find a "burger joint" with fantastic, made-to-order burgers and fries, a clean, 1950s-esque dining room, and staff that goes out of their way to help everyone who walks through the door. You order the basic sandwich, paying extra only for cheese and bacon. All additional toppings are at no additional charge, including raw or grilled onion, tomato, two lettuce choices and more. Everything they served was extremely fresh, the fries were the best I've ever had, and the experience left me wishing for a reason to go back to Salem for more!

  • 5/5 Woodson Christopher C. 11 months ago on Google
Probably the best burger in Salem. The people that run it are really nice, the cook is super cool the whole place is exactly what you want from a great working class burger joint. It's better food than chain restaurants and about the same price. The cooks are really cool.

REAL DEAL BACON ON THESE BURGERS NOT THAT FAST FOOD JUNK. Everything tastes like you cooked it at home the beef taste excellent well seasoned not too much and not plain also the beef doesn't taste processed like your mc Donald's burger king Wendy's Carl's Jr ECT. You have a huge selection of toppings as well as different types of cheese to choose from and a nice variety of condiments to choose from. The SPECIAL SECRET SAUCE IS WORTH TWO CUPS PLEASE DO TRY. OVERALL I GIVE THE FOOD A 10/10 VERY TASTY AND THEY GIVE YOU BIG PORTIONS QUALITY AND QUANTITY. I GIVE THE RESTAURANT A 9/10 THEY ARE VERY CLEAN PRICES ARE AFFORDABLE I ONLY SUGGEST HAVING A COUPLE OF ARCADE GAMES MAYBE A PIN BALL MACHINE OR PHOTO BOOTH TO ENTERTAIN CHILDREN WHILE THEY WAIT.

Nancy Jo's have the most flavorful, juicy burgers I've ever had! Their handcut, homemade fries are yummy, couldn't stop eating them! The large is VERY large for 2 people. They have great service...very friendly 😁 I would totally recommend eating there ♥️

Good burger at a very good price. Folks are friendly too. So hard to know in the covid age if you pour your drinks, or if they do. I wasn't sure and the young lady behind the counter came out and got for me. This is a good to place to eat.

This has got to be the best burger joint around! Go in hungry because after eating an awesome hamburger and the most fries for your buck you will need a wheelbarrow to get back to your car. There is the option to dine in. They do have other menu items. Great Place!

Nancy Jo's Center and Lancaster location is consistently producing very well prepared burgers and fries. They use high quality products and know how to prepare them. Not Cordon Bleu, just good American styled food. Prices? Higher than fast food chains. But not produced assembly line style. The value is there. We visit this location once a month or so.

Made an order for to go tonight which is a special thing for me considering I'm broke but I just had a really hard day and wanted a burger, fries, and milkshake. First, I was asked to repeat my order 3 times and still didn't get the extra cheese I was charged for, there was no lettuce on my burger, and the Hog Fries I ordered to have no bacon (I don't eat pork) were loaded with bacon. Burger was also burnt to a crisp yet not even hot. Seeing as its this difficult to get one order right, especially when it was repeated multiple times, I won't be returning and am thoroughly disappointed. For the price ( approx $20 for a burger meal) you could get way better quality elsewhere.

  • 5/5 Erik G. 4 years ago on Google
Pros: Burgers are huge especially the BIG burgers on the menu. Having to customize your burger is great with many options. Onion rings are pricey, but worth it. The French fries are always hot and fresh. A large french fry is enough to share with more than three people. Almost similar price as other fast food restaurants. The employees are always working together. Cons: Bags can get greasy quick. Sometimes have to wait a while for the food depending on the time you order.
