👍👍 Dark Woods don't currently have a permanent coffee shop. Occasionally they set up a pop up café at their roasting premises. It's very popular, the staff are very friendly and efficient, the cakes are tasty and the coffee is delicious. Can't wait for the next pop up. People often mention coffee, beans, Dark, Great, great, love, delivery, guys, ordered,

This place has got it in spades. Beautiful location next to the River Colne and Huddersfield Narrow Canal. Walking into the fabulous building that is Dark Woods Coffee is a sensory overload especially if they have just roasted a new batch of beans. I love their Under Milk Wood coffee.

Gotta be honest tried some of their award winning coffee and wasn’t to my taste, however made enquiries into whether I was doing something wrong and found them extremely helpful, knowledgeable and they went above and beyond to try and see if they could improve my experience. Other roasters could learn allot from these guys, love the aesthetics of their branding and packaging quality company.

Our fault - presumed that this would be open in a Saturday. Looks lovely but we called in next door to the brewery for a coffee so the trip out still ended well.

Been ordering the Darkwoods x North Brew Co releases previously, and decided I wanted to try some of Darkwoods other offerings. When my package arrived It contained two bags (one was not what I had ordered). I got in touch via email and received a response within the hour from Duncan who informed me he would get the one I had originally ordered sent out the same day and to keep the one that was sent. This arrived a couple days later so was pleased to receive it quickly. Speedy delivery, great customer experience (especially in resolving the issue) and above all else fantastic coffee. Will be ordering again (and again hopefully!). Highly Recommended.

not what it once was? due to packaging? i am a great fan of dark woods and there whiskey barrel aged coffee, it didn’t seem as strong as it once used to be. smells nice and punchy but, once grounded looses all whiskey scent, it didn’t used to be like that. not sure if the batch i got had not long been in the barrels or this is due to the new packaging update they have sent me a fresh batch and it’s spot on 5* item was professionally packed and smells lush

These guys know their coffee! I'm no expert and just a guy with a coffee grinder, but every cup is just lovely. Thanks to these guys I am no longer happy with the rare bag of beans from tesco. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Im hooked. Absolutely love the coffee from this place! ☕👍🙌

Ordered a couple of times and still finding my fave Espresso beans. I have compared several leading coffee beans including Grind recently. nothing matches the creamy Espresso that this team create. It simply is the best coffee on the market. I need to make a trip to the cafe just to say well done!

I was introduced to Dark Woods coffee on a visit to Scarborough last month, drinking it a cafe as well as a whiskey distillery. I loved it so brought some back with me to London. Am looking forward to having a delivery of some more tomorrow. Thankyou.

We tried the Under Milk Wood version of this coffee while staying at a campsite in Yorkshire and loved it. We both thought it was one of the best coffees we had tasted. I recently ordered 3 packs of the ground coffee from Dark Woods but are really disappointed. We don’t think it is suitable for cafetières despite it saying on the packet that it is. I used 5 heaped spoons in a 1 litre cafetière and let it brew for 15 minutes but it was tasteless and nothing like we remembered. I think it is too coarse for use in a cafetière. We won’t be buying it again and I wish I hadn’t bought 3 packets!

Sorry to sound like a hater but the worst coffee I ever had in my life. I really wanted to love it so much so that I purchased two bags of different kind. Could be the roast date and coffee beans not being fresh idk but I brewed & ordered some dodgy coffee in the past but wouldn't even compete with this one. I understand the barrel aged requires peculiar taste but the decaf one was also terrible. I still can't believe I paid £19 for coffee beans that has nonplace but trash can.

Amazing coffees, and of course you should know how to brew properly to get the best out of each bean! Would love to come and visit - but 8 hour round trip for a cup of joe? 😅

I stumbled upon this little gem on my way to work one day and thought I would pay a visit. I left with a huge supply of coffee, as I was amazed by the professionalism and friendly attitude of the team developing the products next to the shop counter. I bought a new supply of coffee beans (Good Morning Sunshine and Guillermo Lomas Finca La Colina) yesterday at around 0930 hrs and I have just literally received the products an hour ago! Talk about rapid delivery!! The coffee is amazing, the aesthetic of each bag is amazing! What more could you want from a coffee roaster. I highly recommend paying this company a visit on one of their event days and seeing it for yourself.

Absolutely fantastic range of single origin coffee, wonderful blends, not to mention that the customer service is beyond anything I've experienced before. The training course that I attended at the mill was hugely insightful and has really given me the chance to develop professionally and truly exceeded my expectations. I can recommend these guys to anyone who works with coffee or indeed anyone who just likes to drink it. Huge respect.

I've been ordering beans from dark woods for a few months now as the are based in Huddersfield where I live and I want to support local businesses. They always process my order with 24hrs. I have tried most of the beans and all are delicious, such a difference from the poor quality ones on supermarkets. On my last order I was left a note from Connor thanking me for my customer which was appreciated. All I need to do now is visit their shop when things get back to normal.

Dark Woods have created fantastic specialty roasted beans here. I took the dive and ordered a 1kg bag of Arboretum after hearing great things. All I can say is after the hundreds of Microlot, specialty coffees that I have tried from all over the world; this is definitely within my top 5. The flavour profile is incredible fruity, vibrant and complex and perfectly light roasted. Once you have dialled it in to pull that perfect shot, it is nothing short of bliss. After drinking this, I can surely say that no craft coffee shop comes close to my home brews. I will be back for other beans to try!

We absolutely love the full rich flavour of these beans. They are far superior to the ones in the supermarket. Artisan, quality beans, highly recommend these guys.

Great tasting beans so far. I have just brewed my first cup. Snow Stone beans. Very nice flavour, first time I have actually tasted what was noted on the description. Chestnut, dried fruits and dark chocolate...
