I went to Three Little Words for their Sunday Roast a couple of Sundays ago and lucked out and managed to grab a walk in table around 3pm. Their Sunday lunch is £15 with a choice of two meat dishes, Beef or Pork and a vegetarian option, this particular weekend it was garlic mushrooms. A roast for £15 I thought was a very reasonable price! Especially once it arrived and the amount you got for your money…the only thing I would say was the cauliflower cheese was £5 extra…which for a third of the price of the roast itself, felt a bit steep but it was bloomin’ delicious. We ordered the beef and veggie option and the portion was a great size and nicely presented. Loads of variety of veggies and I especially enjoyed, what I believed to be, sliced up sprouts! All very well seasoned with lots of flavour in each element. The beef was cooked really well and the mushrooms were equally as delicious but I feel like there could have been more in comparison to the beef. Although we didn’t have a cocktail their cocktail menu was designed in a quirky fashion that resembled a Dulux colour chart, each cocktail broken up in categories like “floral” or “fruity” etc. I have had a cocktail here previously and definitely worth trying one or two. Overall the experience was great. The space felt busy but also intimate. The service was attentive and friendly from the lady who welcomed us to the guy who served us. A great Sunday meal that was definitely needed, would recommend to a friend.

LGBTQ+ Friendly 🌈 Lots of queer staff 💜💙🤍 I do question if so much salt needs to be wasted on the crab cones though please! 🦀 #savetheplanet Overall, fantastic food, ambience and service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ There is a sense that the staff all enjoy working there. Lots of smiles and camaraderie - which is nice. And each being allowed to express their unquieness, well done to the owners for creating that culture The prawns 😃 👌🏻 The arancini 😍 🍘 The bhaji's! 🤤 🤤 🇮🇳 Best of all, they finished dinner with a pack of love hearts for my partner and I, which as a 90's baby, made me smile 😚 The crab cones are delicious. But in a world where our consumption is draining the planet of all it's natural resources and afghan parents are selling their children to feed their families, I question whether dishes should be created that waste food solely for aesthetics. I'm aware a little salt isn't going to remedy issues stated above, but principally we all have a responsibility to play our part. Restaurants especially should not be encouraging food waste Otherwise, love it and we will return (but we won't be buying crab cones) 🦀 🦀 ☆☆☆☆ 👍🏻 Like & Follow • for more LGBTQ Friendly 🌈 & Trans Safe+ reviews 💙💜🤍 IG: @lgbtqwellness.co www.lgbtqwellness.co ☆☆☆☆

We had the Sunday roast beef which was amazing! Faultless. Perfect Yorkshire, beef, veg and the gravy was the best. Great service, entertainment, decor. Good value considering the quality.

We booked a table for a large group on a Saturday night and had a brilliant time. Great cocktails, knowledgeable staff, and great atmosphere. Fayed was especially brilliant at making us feel welcome, thank you!

We hired Three Little Words for a private corporate event and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to hire a venue in the area. The team went above and beyond to ensure our party ran smoothly and were so flexible and helpful throughout. They also hosted a gin tasting and distillery tour which was a huge hit with our guests, the team hosting were very knowledgeable and engaging. Best of all - the gin is delicious!

Fantastic place! Did the gin tour. It was very interesting and well delivered. Lots of funny banter and trying all the different gins was an eye opener to the type of gin i prefer. The staff were so lovely here and we felt so welcome. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful restaurant and bar. Me and a friend had the Sunday roast as a part of the gin tour and tasting. We had some hummus and flatbread to start which was brilliant. The Sunday roast was a generous portion and cooked perfectly. Both the sticky toffee pudding and ice cream were lovely to finish off our meal. The atmosphere was lovely with a great singer and guitar player who had taken our requests and played them amazingly! The staff were all lovely and make us feel so welcome. It goes without saying that all the drinks went down a treat. Aside from the stunning gin I would definitely recommend the black cherry rum which I loved! The staff even booked us a taxi to get to our next venue for the evening. Thanks again all there. It was wonderful

One of my favourite cocktail bars ever! This was my second visit, with a small group including a friend who comes about every 3 months. The staff always recognise him and treat us all as special customers. They are genuinely some of the friendliest, most knowledgeable, and conscientious people I’ve encountered in bars/restaurants. The cocktails are incredible. Well thought out and interesting flavour pairings. All of them work so well. We had a (free) blind gin tasting to celebrate World Gin Day, which was a nice added extra to our visit. Food - we had short ribs, crispy chicken, frickles, and focaccia to share. Again, beautifully presented, well-made and fabulous flavours. Very mellow afternoon vibe, nice music, comfy seats, nice loos, and the feeling of being valued customers for whom nothing was too much trouble. Not the cheapest place to eat and drink but well worth every penny. Fantastic place for a celebration - and it always feels like a special occasion in there! Nice to see that service is not automatically added to the bill and as in the old days they leave it to the customer to add a tip if it’s felt earned. (It was, and we did!)

The Three Little Word's is a cool bar and home to the fantastic Manchester Gin Distillery. If you ever find yourself in Manchester the Gin Distillery is absolutely worth a visit, there are several tour options available we decided on the tasting tour presented by the excellent Sti (very funny and knowledgeable guy) really interesting and informative. After which we spent a couple of hours in the restaurant & bar, great food, fantastic service from people who genuinely care about quality of the product. There Little Word's & the Manchester Gin Distillery is a marvelous example of a team of people working hard to deliver a fantastic experience. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Honestly… there are no words to describe how welcoming everyone was. How GOOD the drinks are (you feel the passion and dedication in each sip. They know what they are doing, they can walk you through it, it’s an full visual/taste and learning experience). Felt like family, sat by the bar, chatted with all the staff who were so friendly and helpful. Everyone who worked the evening of 29 January 2022, was amazing! All deserve bonuses! Love love love!! The cocktails are to die for!

Did the Sunday funday, gin tasting, making and Sunday Dinner.... Firstly, the Sunday dinner was immense! Seriously the best I've ever had! Service was amazing, everyone was so attentive, friendly and fun. Gin tasting and making.... Jamie was our host, he was amazing, so informative, made everything easy to understand and fun..... We tasted 5 gins, made a bottle of gin by creating a recipe, measuring the ingredients and distilling our gin. You can even buy your gin again another time as the recipes and bottle numbers are saved! So much fun.... Highly recommended.

Where to start?! What a fantastic experience we had there. We chose to do the distillery tour which was £20. It was less of a tour and more of a talk about the history of the company and of gin with a viewing of their hot stills. Although not what I had been expecting, it was absolutely excellent. Our host, Jamie, was knowledgable, friendly and fun. We got to try an talk about a whole host their gins. It was fantastic value for money just because of the quantity of gins you got to have regardless of the talk itself. I would recommend to anyone! We also ate afterwards, all the food was excellent, the salt and pepper chips however were absolutely unreal. Unlike any I had ever had before and enough alone, to visit the place. I have already been telling friends about them! This fantastic experience was all topped if by the staff. Every member was brilliant. Friendly, helpful and up for a laugh, they made the place what it was. All in all, a perfect evening spent there. If I could give them six stars I would. Absolutely brilliant. 👌👌

Proficient cocktail bar nestled in amongst a working gin distillery - Spirit of Manchester. Good big space with lots of seating and a dedicated gin tasting room. Not the typical ‘speakeasy’ cocktail joint but better if you’re in a group of 6 or so. The mixologists knew their stuff and made a good Negroni - and offered up a ‘white’ alternative Negroni too. Had both! We were given an impromptu tour of the distillery - nice touch. Really friendly woman at the door - Faye - and great staff behind the bar. Didn’t stay for food although I hear the kitchen is good. Next time.

Just been here for a birthday meal and a gin tour. Everything about the place was excellent. Food was amazing, a live singer was playing whilst we ate. The staff were super friendly and efficient and Josh was excellent on the gin tour. Will definitely go back and recommend it to food and gin lovers.

The most amazing cocktail bar. Innovative drinks menu and flavor combinations/ingredients, great decor, very friendly service and what's more many of the spirits made in the onsite distillery. Highly recommended and will go again when next in Manchester

We came for a Sunday Roast and we were greeted with amazing service, atmosphere and the food was to die for! Because it was my birthday we were given complimentary shots which made us feel really welcome and looked after. I would say this is the best roast I have had in Manchester. The staff were outstanding. Kieran and another lovely man looked after us (I didn’t get his name). I can’t wait to book to come back. Thanks for the best Sunday!

Given the price it charged, I’d say not worth it as we found things just average, not exceptional. We had sunday roast there and each had a alcohol drink. Service wise, the waiter was nice but the lady showed us to our table was not very friendly. Food wise, the Yorkshire pudding was over-baked, browny and bitter. The pork roast has its fastening string unremoved -see photos . Squash mash too moist. Service charge is only 10%, but we still spent £30 per person for a Sunday roast lunch. very nice interior decor

What a fantastic team that run this place! The lady on the front was so enthused and knowledgeable which made the visit really! Went here on a tour at the distillery and stayed for drinks after with some fantastic cocktails that blow your head off. The vibe is so on point and relaxed it really is a fantastic night out here. Will be returning again and again!

Superb food and an interesting and unique tour and tasting with the passionate Ste. It’s clear the all the team believe in Manchester Gin and the brand as a whole, which is rare in today’s corporate culture. Highly recommend, we will be back!

Deeply disappointed! Came here for the New Year's party, so I cannot speak of the distillery or gin tasting side of things this time, only the experience on the night. The staff, while bare minimum pleasant, were not very good at their jobs. From a F&B stand point, the sheer amount of spillage on their pours was horrendous, and the cocktail menu of the night wasn't to any one of our groups liking, which was unfortunate. At one point we ordered prosecco and the glass was cracked and broken, the barman didn't notice till pointed out, but was rectified easily. The spillage of the liquor in one case meant the 'g&t' was just tonic. The bar is horrifically laid out for such a large gathering party, meaning no matter where you are, you're getting aggressively bumped into. On the right hand side of the bar, several of us stood when we arrived and staff kept moving from the bar to another room, so us, and the groups near us kept getting bumped into by the staff, so we moved to the dance floor, where there was no space. We eventually returned and a staff member hit one of us with a trash bag causing liquid to spill down them. We kept having to shuffle about as there was no where we could stand. On the flip side, the atmosphere was electric, and the toilet area was clean and the staff on the door who welcomed everyone was very fun, pleasant and informative. Overall, the night was just a let down for a place that usually seems to be high 4*.

Excellent. We attended for a gin tasting/making this evening and left having had the best time. Our host “Joe the gin nerd” was incredibly friendly, fun and knowledgeable and really did make the whole thing a great time. I would throughly recommend this bar and the experience to all.

Due to my experience, I think I am being generous givjng a 2 star. This is all down to personal preference but I really disliked this place. I know of the owners so I expected good things but was left disappointed. The wait time for 4 small plates was ridiculous, well over 40 minutes and the excuse given was the amount of tables booked during the time we came, I mean that's a pretty ridiculous excuse given that the restaurant chooses to book that many people in one go. If the chefs can't handle cooking that many dishes then you shouldn't be booking that many tables in one go and maybe I wouldn't be giving this sort of review. The food was mediocre at best, very pretentious in my opinion and fell short on flavour. A lot of the food was salty. The cocktails were a disgrace, two sips and it was gone, I didn't taste the slightest bit of alcohol, I wasn't even sure there was any in it to be honest and they were charging £12.50 at full price, I felt robbed paying half of that. We took the service charge off because we didn't think the service was great all round and we shouldn't have gotten what we felt was bad looks for taking off the service charge. This place needs to do better.

Where do I begin with this place? Let's start at the completely unique and amazing set up of this place. It's under a bridge arch and has exposed brick throughout which gives it a rustic old school vibe. But it is far from old school. Great drinks selection and live DJ which is not overwhelming in the background. Amazing vibe. Great staff....one of the top teams in Manchester in my option. Big shout to Matt one of the servers who gave us an impromptu tour of the distillery! Will definitely be back and would highly recommend!!

I had the popular Sunday roast and it didn't disappoint. It was lovely and the best thing I had eaten all weekend while in Manchester. The palate cleanser at the start was a nice touch. The cocktail I had was really nice and I could actually taste the alcohol. The waiters were really helpful and attentive.

Gin Making Session What a fantastic afternoon we have had at Three Little Words making our own gin. The session lasted about 2.5 hours and was hosted by the the very knowledgeable Jackson who was able to talk everyone through the origins of gin and Manchester Gib and also help in showing us what to do. Jackson was a brilliant host who kept us all entertained. You choose your own ingredients and weigh them out whilst being guided to make sure you are not making something that you can’t drink. I can’t recommend this enough as you are kept lubricated along the way with some of their lovely gins. The price may put some people off but it is worth the money and a great way to spend an afternoon.

SE LA CLASSE!!! Sunday roast on my plate. I love this place. Especially designe of interior of this cocktail bar cutch my eyes. And service - casual, so friendly and knowledgeable. Gin distilled here must be tested. Thank you for a very warm welcome.

Amazing bar in such a unique location, our bartender Steve went through all our cocktail choices as we were new to gin, he made it feel personal and offered advice on which ones would most likely to like. Can't wait to go again.

Beef was so tough I highly recommend not ordering it for the elderly or young. Looks good though!

Went here after out distillery tour today and it's exceptional, the service, food and cocktails are all sublime. We've already recommended to family and friends to come here when in Manchester as we loved it that much! Our server was brilliant (unfortunately I didn't catch his name) and he recommended the sticky toffee pudding that my partner really enjoyed (he practically inhaled it :D) and a few different cocktails that were delicious (caught in the rain and bonnie & Clyde). I can't sing their praises enough, we had a wonderful evening and will definitely have to return!!

Insanely good martini cocktail with oyster shells distilled gin x mana - mother of pearl, accompanied with a free oyster. This gin created in a partnership with Mana Michelin star restaurant is one of the best I've ever had. Great atmosphere and cocktails crafted with attention to details. Go.
