Overall, the actual venue is very nice & the sound quality was good (as expected). However, the experience of getting into the venue - incredibly long lines of cars and confusion among staff regarding parking - took a lot away. Being less than a mile from the venue, it was over an hour of sitting in the car waiting to park. Also, although you can bring beverages and food of any kind to the lawn area, the alcohol sold on premises must be consumed within the beer garden. One of the most nonsensical things I've seen in a while. For a venue that's been around a long time, do better.

Tanglewood is just a great time - fun for all. I recommend picking a show and go have a great experience. It’s easy to get to, easy to park you car, great traffic control in and out, and clean bathrooms. Bring you own food and drink or order something their. I highly recommend this as a family outing for the kid to expose them to the arts.

My only other experience here was a few years ago - 4th of July with James Taylor. It was an absolutely riveting experience but the place was absolutely mobbed (as you could imagine on a holiday that includes fireworks after the concert). So to be able to come here on a Saturday morning to see the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s rehearsal gave a whole different perspective to how beautiful the property and grounds are and to really appreciate the magic of the location during the day. The acoustics were fantastic and the facilities and grounds were super family friendly. Being able to walk around while beautiful music is playing in the background and enjoying the vistas made me appreciate this venue even more than I did the last time I was here. Should be on everyone’s list who appreciates live performances in a serene setting.

Terrific place. In addition to the great music, the property is lovely! Don’t miss touring the house! Don’t be in a rush to get out fast! When the concert is over we wait in our car until the mad rush subsides..

My first time back to Tanglewood in 40 years. Still a beautiful place to enjoy a concert and picnic on the lawn. I was there to see Jackson Browne . Beautiful weather , good food , great music and 1000's of fellow fans made for the perfect evening. Bonus was that I was there to celebrate my 67th birthday.

Classic concert venue with great sight lines in the shed and a large lawn behind that. The Lawn is quite a scene and lots of fun, but can get a bit wet when it rains. A "must be experienced" place to be.

We had a fantastic time at Tanglewood! What a unique venue to enjoy music outdoors! I would recommend going to eat at the cafeteria versus the buffet, which is 65 dollars per person.
