A very nice Aloft location. Located between the university, downtown, and mall, it offers a short drive to any location in town but not really within walking distance. Next to a little lake, it is located it a place where you could go on little walks. The hotel is also extremely dog friendly, many pups made us wish ours came with us. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, both reception and at the bar. Rooms were a standard layout for this chain but clean and well upkept. If I had one comment that is not positive it would be that the parking lot, which is free, needs to be better signed so people know where it is. Would recommend and stay again.

I have been here for all of an hour and can already write this. It is the nicest hotel I have ever been to. It has the friendliest staff, and I mean every single person genuinely is happy and welcoming. The beds feel like I am laying in a cloud. The views of the water are awesome. The largest mall I have ever been to is also within walking distance. I added an extra night here because it is that worth it. You will not be disappointed. After a 7 hour drive they even let me check in early with zero hassle.

Quaint and unusual room, which actually is very refreshing for a hotel. Its almost what I would call Modern..ish? They let me check in early, which was fantastic, since I had to be part of a wedding. The only thing that really irked me was that they do not have any continental breakfast, but instead charge upwards of $9 for a breakfast sandwich....The Gem diner down the road is a great breakfast spot.

Superb stay. One of the best heart warming friendly hosting we encountered. Notorious attention to details and decoration. Beds are incredibly comfortable. Special thanks to the hotel's GM, which was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.

Hotel is very modern. Loved the style. Service was really nice. Bartender was amazing. Pool was small but I really don't think this hotel was meant for kids. Bathroom was large and amazing but the shower sprayed all over the floor which was annoying. All in all I would recommend this hotel for a couple.

I visited for a conference in downtown and am glad I stayed a little farther out at this hotel. The shuttle service to and from the train station was great and the drivers were friendly. Check-in was easy and the staff was personable and attentive. The room was modern, it had thin walls, a few scratches and dents, but overall was very comfortable. My favorite part was the ability to walk from the hotel to downtown via the creekside trail. It was about a mile of flat, paved, multi-use trail.

Wonderful experience here. We drove in from Michigan and the staff were very friendly and helpful, so we're the staff in the morning! The rooms are clean and comfortable with great amenities! Couldn't ask for more. We will absolutely stay here again!

Loved the stay here! It is located right outside of town, very quiet and a quick car ride to restaurants and everything else we needed or wanted to visit. Lobby was set up well with a bar, food for purchase, live entertainment on Saturday night, board games and complimentary water or coffee. The coffee was not great but there's a Dunkin nearby. Rooms were comfortable and thoughtful. Bathroom was nice and plenty of counter space at the sink area where two people could get ready at the same time. The shower was roomy but no shelf for your toiletries and the shower pressure was too weak to bother washing long hair. Scenic location and nice outdoor lounge are as well.

Firstly: I’ve stayed at a multitude of hotels due to the nature of my job. And I have stayed at this particular aloft multiple times (I checked my bonvoy- 11 times, and most of them Monday-Friday stays). There is a reason I come back over and over (besides the fact that the Syracuse division of my job is the busiest haha) At times, I won’t lie, I’ve had less satisfactory stays than perfect, but never BAD stays here. Period. Honestly this hotel is perfect for what I need it for. It is super dog friendly, and I bring my ESA with me when I travel for work. They don’t charge a dog fee which is HUGE in comparison to other hotels (some go for as simple as 50$ per stay, some can range to 150$ per stay). I have read other reviews where people complain about the staff, the breakfast (i don’t care about breakfast, i always choose points), the cleanliness, etc. and I’ve never had a problem here. If anything the staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have a good stay and if you don’t they try to remedy it on the spot. I’ve been told by Syracuse locals that the area near destiny isn’t great, but I have not had bad experiences here. Last night I realized upon driving here, that I had made the reservation for Sunday, not Monday night. I called and they said “no problem, your room is all set and we won’t cancel your reservation”. Upon arrival, I was checked in and on my way to my room in about 30 seconds flat, they already had my key ready for me and everything. I drove about 6 hours yesterday, and I arrived at 10pm, exhausted and they could read it on my face and made sure check in was a breeze. The staff and manager (sorry didn’t get her name), are great here and that really makes the stay comfortable. The beds are good quality, the tvs have been recently updated, and the rooms are decent quality. I’ve stayed in an aloft in NYC that was smaller and much less homey than this, in comparison this one is a lot better! [[TLDR]] Pros: - modern/updated hotel - priced always lower than most places in the area ( know we get a corporate rate from Marriott so I cannot attest to what making reservations here in a non business capacity is like) - Friendly/efficient staff - Dog/Pet Friendly, 0 dog fee unlike other hotels (all the ones in E Syracuse charge an arm and a leg for dog fees) - clean rooms - Good amenities (I’ve used the gym a couple times here- everything is in good working order) - i always choose email receipts for my travel stays for my expense reports, some hotels forget to send them, this aloft NEVER forgets to send them. - Perfect for what I need it for/solo business travelers. - pretty view, especially in the am on the harbor side (although the other side’s view is under construction, that’s not their fault!) - during the summer/spring my dog is absolutely ENCHANTED by the ducks, seagulls, and geese on the little island out there. She drags me down to the boardwalk to stare at them excitedly! - free parking! (I have sites where I have to stay in NYC and pay 40$ a night to park 4 blocks away from the hotel. Free is free, and for people who say the parking lot being across the street is dangerous have never had to walk in ACTUAL Sketchy areas in their life 🙃🙄) Cons: - I can see maybe this not being a hotel for family vacations (more geared towards adult travelers. Nothing is worse for me than having chaotic packs of kids roaming the hotel all day and night, I’ve never dealt with that here). - as a titanium elite bonvoy member (which lol someone of you in the reviews think any kind of status on bonvoy makes you royalty, to which I say a firm: “grow up”), there aren’t huge offerings for “elite members” different than normal guests. That’s personally ok, I don’t really care about that. - no free breakfast, which again, I’m from New England, there is a Dunkin close by that I go to every morning I’m here and my AM routine isn’t impacted at all. Overall, compliments to the great staff! Thanks for being great and always making my stays great here at Aloft Syracuse Inner Harbor!

Very clean hotel. Rooms are small but functional and not prohibitive. When we checked in the gentleman who checked us in was professional, helpful and friendly. Tony the bartender was great. At checkout at 4 am the following morning you could tell the difference between staffing. No coffee in the lobby, well cold night before coffee. When we asked some guy behind the desk with his back to us mumbled a few times then pointed us to a microwave without turning around and said warm it up. He single-handedly ensured we won’t stay at Aloft again. He was a super jerk, really no other way to put it.

It was my first stay here and I’m a Syracuse native born and raised but was visiting from out of town. I remember when the hotel was built before I moved. I always heard good things about it and the hotel didn’t disappoint. 100/10 recommend easily. Being dog friendly was a plus. Prioritizing pet owners for the first and second floor is genius so we have easier access to the outside. They have a clean up station right outside the front entrance. The staff are all friendly and sweet. They have a bar and a little cafe/market place. This will be my go to hotel next time I’m in town. I will recommend this to my friends and family who may also come from out of town. Nicely done!

One of our favorite spots to stay in the Syracuse area. Clean, comfortable hotel with great amenities. Indoor pool, bar and private parking lot. The location is great, set along the Inner Harbor, which has walking paths to Destiny USA and Buried Acorn Brewing. Only bummer is that the hotel breakfast and snack bar is a bit pricey.

I so badly wanted to love our stay here. The hotel itself is super modern and trendy and has an overall great vibe. The staff is also VERY friendly! Our biggest issue was the cleanliness of the rooms. The first room that we were assigned (214) was not cleaned well at all. There were ants in the bathroom, hairs in the sink & shower, and the floor was covered in dust/dirt residue as if someone quickly shoved it around with a mop. We called the front desk and they offered to switch our room (215). The only thing that was better about this room was that there weren’t ants. Our new room clearly had not been vacuumed or wiped down thoroughly as there were crumbs on the floor and crumbs on the desk as well. The bathroom counter was dirty and dusty (I have videos of wiping it off and what came up on the Kleenex) and there was hair in the shower. The beds were made but when we lifted the comforter/sheets, we found hairs (human and dog) stuck to the fabric— granted maybe they just happened to remain stuck after going through the dryer— totally possible! I probably wouldn’t have ever questioned the bedding had there not already been issues with the cleanliness. Unfortunately, this just left us with a bad taste in our mouths.

In A Nutshell: -The Aloft here in Syracuse is in a good location. -Lot's of open fields surrounding the area plus the lake. -It's also about 1.5 miles from downtown which is good to get some steps in by walking. -The hotel itself is pretty spacious. -Check in & check out was easy. -They have a free shuttle service you just have to let the receptionist know where you want to go & reserve the time slot. -Ubers & Lyft drivers can also easily get to you. -The room was pretty big & the bed was very comfortable. -There is a bar in the lobby area, they guy who works there named Max is extremely nice, great guy. -If you need to do laundry, they have one coin-operated washer & one coin-operated dryer on the top floor, which is very convenient. Overall, I had a really nice stay & it's very close to the Syracuse airport, which was an added bonus.

Stayed for three nights but was over charged by $300. Spoke with the front desk and have been passed around with no answer. As somebody who stays at Marriot Hotels 3-5 nights a month this is a terrible experience. Rooms are fine, but not worth $436/ night when you expect to pay $186/ night.

We were there to attend a NYS Fire Chiefs convention. We checked in and front desk was like we bothered them to check us in. We asked if they would be able to shuttle 5 of us to the Oncenter to the Convention, they said that they weren’t insured to shuttle us. Shuttle is only used for Airport, train station and the “Fertility Clinic”. For the money this place charges they could have shuttled us! Marriott is embarrassing! Definitely not a hotel I would go back to.The only reason I gave the room a 3 was the maids were pleasant and kept the room clean.

The staff was awesome. At check-in, they told me about dining options at the hotel, bar, and local places to go. The hotel was very clean and modern. It is also pet friendly with lots of outdoor space to walk your dog. The room was nice and very clean, but you could hear every sound coming from the hallway and the heater was insanely loud. We found it odd that there was no clock in the room either. The shower was great but had no shelfs to put anything. Breakfast was good with a few options. Overall it was a nice hotel but the noise kept us up all night so I give it 4 stars.

I stopped in with my husband and two dogs on our journey back to Maine from Nebraska on 4/21/23. Every staff member we encountered was warm, generous with their time and resources, and helpful. In particular, the woman who checked us in and I interacted with at the main desk several times throughout our evening went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The considerations and anticipations of our needs was appreciated. The lovely human at the bar was also warm, patient, and delightful. The area around the hotel made for good dog walking, nice paths, a lovely water feature, flags, though we'd caution to keep an eye out for stray fish on the grass (not sure how they make it there if it's a bird or fisher person). Previous experiences with the Aloft collection had left us wanting in bed comfort and amenities, but this hotel indeed has comfortable beds, and I enjoyed the dry bar shower set. My only note (and it's not a big one) is that the parking situation wasn't intuitive, and it may not be ideal that it's across the street for some. We managed fine though. Thanks to all that have helped make our stay stress free and comfortable!

My hats off to you Aloft! This was an extremely friendly group of workers. The rooms are very clean and cozy, all ammenities were in place, and more than I could imagine. There is a super vibe, the little pops of color are whimsical adding to the fun atmosphere. Thank you for what you do, we shall return for sure!!!

The walls are paper thin. I could hear the people in the next room talking and playing music. The shower was out of body wash so that tells you how much they probably clean and restock. The bed/pillows weren’t comfortable. Oh and the heater/air conditioner was super loud. For a boutique hotel, it kinda sucked.

After a God awful experience with a previously booked Hilton 1 bedroom king suite at Embassy Suites in E. Syracuse (Not Destiny USA) we found this hidden gem. Xavier upon check in was very professional and accommodating with what was available and after our 3 hour debacle with HILTON. Every person you spoke to regardless of department was SO very nice, helpful and accommodating with a smile on their face! It was as if they all worked as a team to ensure a WOW experience! Great job ALOFT team you won us over!

Check in was easy, was only staying a night. First time being there and the girl at the front desk was super nice & friendly. Room was clean and nice. Love the bottles on the shower wall for ur body care needs. Love the vibe of the lounge. Definitely not ur typical hotel. Cleaning service staff was very friendly when seen in the hallway. Checkout was easy too. The girls at the front desk helped with that and were very friendly too.

I stayed for 3 nights over the weekend and had a great experience. Ben the Assist GM greatly assisted me at the front desk. He was very personable and gave me tons of ideas to do for the weekend while I was in town. Every time I passed by the front desk he was always in a friendly mood. Alexi was also very helpful at the front desk whenever I needed assistance. The hotel was in a great location, near the mall in walking distance as well as some breweries and restaurants. The hotel was in good clean condition and had a nice modern feel to it. The free parking across the street was nice. The hotel being dog friendly was also a great addition! Anyone looking to stay in Syracuse, I highly recommend Aloft Syracuse.

Really enjoyed our stay here. I love the hotel decor and the staff was very friendly. The room was very clean, which is great considering most Marriotts we’ve stayed in recently missed the cleanliness mark. Keep doing a great job Aloft Syracuse!

The location is literally 3 minutes driving distance to the Destiny Mall and 15 minutes from the airport. The rooms are small but yet chic and cute! The guest service were all friendly! I had no complaints during my stay, I'd definitely consider staying again for any future visits!

checked out this AM & want to make sure to post that the hotel was great; I don't understand the whining & unsavory reviews, on other forums as well. Rooms were clean, fresh smelling, updated, great beds & pillows, showers were clean & dry bar products were wonderful, are not limited to the tiny plastic bottles. We used the gym twice: towels, earbuds & water are provided it was super clean! The food area in lobby has a good variety to choose from "to go" & hot breakfast was available made to order for a fee. Parking was so close & plentiful. I was concerned about an abundance of dogs, truthfully I did not notice any evidence (odors/filth) in the hotel, but there were A LOT staying there. Carpets were spotted, I did notice that - but the hotel is so updated, fresh feeling & tidy, that wasn't a bother at all. Great value for the nightly rate. I'm pickey & would def stay here again. We aren't drinkers but if we were maybe we would be bummed that the bar was only open on the weekend.

The bartender July 29 was incredible. Made our night so great. I checked in in about three minutes flat. The hotel spotless, staff was great and again the bartender was amazing. Dog friendly. Pool. Awesome walking Paths all around to get exercise in the morning.

My favorite part was the bed. It was soooo comfortable. I really like the showers and giant mirrors. The hotel seemed very modern. Pretty good location. Close to the mall. There was always a different person at the front desk and they were all nice. I thought the fridge was in a weird space (under the sink) and there was not a microwave which sucks. Of course there is food at the mall, but there wasn't really any close by stand alone places to eat within walking distance. Thankfully, food isn't a far drive. Parking is across the street. I would feel better about it if it was a closed lot that you used your room key to get into. Thankfully, it seem like a safe neighbor so I wasn't worried about my car or the walk at night. Never saw any sketchy activity. I plan to visit Syracuse again and this hotel will be at the top of my list of places to stay.
