After
reading
the
most
recent
review
and
realizing
my
experience
is
shared,
I
decided
to
write
this.
I
recently
saw
Ana
for
a
balayage
service.
I
came
to
see
her
for
an
initial
AND
follow-up
consultation
to
go
over
what
I
was
looking
for
and
we
went
through
numerous
sample
photos.
I
last
got
balayage
~1
year
ago,
and
the
highlights
moved
down
on
my
hair
shaft.
Ana
decided
to
cover
up
those
highlights
(color
correction)
and
add
new
ones.
In
retrospect,
I
should
have
asked
why
she
approached
my
hair
this
way
because
after
speaking
to
a
new
stylist
I
learned
that
she
could
have
just
enhanced
the
old
highlights
and
charged
me
for
a
half
head
of
highlights
and
toner.
After
this,
my
hair
was
too
light
(it
actually
had
white
strands
at
the
bottom),
so
I
went
back
to
Ana
and
she
toned
it
down...
but
then
it
was
dark!
Neither
time
with
the
carmel
balayage
we
had
exhaustively
discussed.
The
new
stylist
informed
me
that
when
you
do
a
proper
"color
correction,"
it
takes
hours
/
multiple
sessions
to
get
what
you
are
looking
for,
especially
if
you
are
adding
highlights.
Not
even
sure
why
she
approached
it
this
way.
When
I
asked
Ana
if
I
can
stop
in
agin
and
show
her
my
hair,
she
told
me
that
I
would
have
to
pay
for
another
service.
Even
if
I
was
to
take
30
minutes
more
of
her
time,
to
finish
a
$375
job
for
a
client
and
make
them
happy
and
satisfied?
That
is
what
a
true
professional
would
do.
In
fact,
when
I
reached
out
she
explicitly
said
to
me
"I
don't
think
i'll
be
able
to
achieve
your
specifications..."
after
saying
over
and
over
while
in
her
chair
"don't
worry
I
got
you!
I
know
what
you
are
looking
for..."
If
she
didn't
think
she
could
"achieve
my
specifications"
she
should
of
told
me
that
on
either
of
my
consultations,
because
once
you
commit
to
something,
you
see
it
through.
Also,
similar
to
the
last
woman,
BOTH
my
sweatshirts
were
ruined
with
toner
all
over
them
(one
of
the
sweatshirts
was
my
mother's)
after
leaving
Ana's
chair.
Actually,
the
last
time
I
saw
her
for
the
fix,
a
woman
sitting
in
the
chair
next
to
me
pointed
out
the
toner
was
all
over
my
sweatshirt
and
SHE
got
Ana's
attention.
Ana
then
sprayed
something
on
it
and
said
"that
should
do
it,"
which
I
think
was
an
act
(she
knew
full
well
that
wasn't
coming
out).
It
is
upsetting
when
you
search
for
someone
to
help
you
with
a
critical
aspect
of
your
self
image
who
you
hope
will
be
"the
one..."
it
is
clear
that
it
was
not
Ana
for
me.
I
too
sought
out
her
services
due
to
many
positive
Google
reviews.
However,
the
experience
taught
me
an
important
lesson
that
when
it
comes
to
your
hair,
a
service
that
is
not
only
a
big
expense,
but
an
important
part
of
your
self
image,
stick
to
recommendations
from
friends
and
family.
