It's not a Five star hotel, but it is a 5 star hotel experience. Clean place, nice people, I would go again.

Racist minds. The girl at the desk refered to me as "the american" many times. I repeated many times that I was Canadian. I even spoke french to them. Just because I am white. Don't they know that white people could be from many countries. Could be Europeen, German, Australien, American, Canadian, even Russian, etc... Please buy a map, dont work in tourism with such a narrow mind. Educate yourself girl, the hotel has internet for you to do so...

This hotel is very clean, the staff at the hotel and the restaurant are super friendly and go out of their way to satisfy all the customers. This hotel is made for business travelers, not so much for tourists.

It was comfortable to spend the night alone, I didn't use the tv at all so I can tell if it was good or not, Im guessing that it was, the price isn't that high and the bathroom was quite pleasant imo, I don't think I have pictures of the room or the place cuz I just wanted to sleep, but take my word, It was fine.

Not too bad for the price. Room are small, no hot water. Good for a quick stays

This hotel isn't publicly listed on any travel sites, so I wasn't sure what to expect when my local girlfriend suggested it. Was quite surprised at how cool and modern it is. Prompt service. And great price. Has everything I need, so I was very pleased!

After programming your key they won't change the room for any inconvenience you find out, a way to force you dealing with it. Sheet smells used, TV not smart, not able to cast my Youtube. However it's not the worst option in the area.

It's comfortable, nice & the one that recommendedme, said is the cleanest and best hotel of Higüey city.

STAY AWAY. POOR PRACTICES AND REFUSES TO REFUND. We first arrived and paid for 4 nights. The second day, they asked us to move to another room. They said they made a mistake and the room we have is already reserved. They could have just give the other room to the next person but we were forced to accept a ridiculous small room with a bathroom in a corridor. Every morning they came to knock and wake us up. The manager was not helpfull and said to leave if we are not happy. They refused to refund us. After 3 days, we had canceled all our activities because of our lack of sleep. Thank you Hotel Rod for making us have the worst vacation of our life. As if spending thousands of dollars for plane tickets and coming here to do nothing is what we wanted. Also, after we complained (and only after) at the reception that we paid for a bigger room. The girl at the desk offered to refund 4$ for the difference, with a smirking face. As if I want to sleep poorly and hate my vacation just to save 4 $. Do you know where you can put that 4 $?!?!!! Really bad place. We will leave and forget our money. It is a matter of principles at this point. We will not encourage these scams. Forcing people to accept a crappy room after they paid and they moved all their luggages inside, and still charging for the bigger room. No one speaks english really, except the manager that barely listens, is impatient and cut you off to talk over you. Missplaced pride of a businessman. Will also post photos soon.

BE AWARE !!!! If you do not want to be awaken by religious singing every morning at 7am. A group sings in the corridor and it is impossible to sleep. IMPOSSIBLE. Owner answer is "I have faith in god". Refuses refund. I have faith in god too but my faith dont wake up people at 6h45 until 8h15. Just a huge lack of respect to impose this to its clients. Among many other things.
