This 4-star hotel in Samarinda is one of the hotels that is strategically located, side by side with the Samarinda Central Plaza with fairly easy access. being in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city of Samarinda with views of the Mahakam River and passing coal ships makes the eyes amazed at how rich Kalimantan's nature is. the price is quite expensive but commensurate with the facilities and views provided. a clean and hygienic place makes consumers feel comfortable staying in this hotel

The hotel is old but well maintained.The lobby,combined with the bar,has a large area.We stayed in a executive suite room,which has a good view of the city.It is an old room,and quite clean. Aston has an indoor cold water swimming pool,and a separate "whirlpool" which water flow doesn't function anymore,so it only serves as a warm tub instead of whirlpool. The staff is very polite,and very helpful,but you need to ask them more than once to get your needs. The restaurant menu is one of the best in Samarinda.We really like their hotel cuisine.

Best value for experience. Purchase Deluxe Room. Pros: 1. Room is larger than usual. 2. Clean and neat. 3. Strategic location. Near (or integrated) Samarinda Central Plaza mall. 4. Spacious parking since sharing with SCP mall. 5. Large pool. 6. Delicious and various breakfast menu with affordable price. Cons: 1. Since shared parking with mall, sometimes you need more time to find parking slot. 2. There is baththub in the bathroom. Personally i dont like it since consuming much water. Tips: For cheaper price, I suggest ti book the room earlier. Booking close to the check in date will bring you premium price.

Last visit and staying overnight was excellent: Plusses: ✅ Located in a considerably strategic place, around 6-7 km from iconic Mahakam bridge, not near by that huge Mahakam river ✅ I stayed in single bed room, and it was excellent. I think the floor was real porcelain so room was cool enough for me without turning on the AC. ✅ Clean room and window's glasses, furnitures and lights were working well ✅ Working hot & cold shower (not all hotel) ✅ Foods and beverages taste was good, they have Indomie served as well, nice 👍🏻 ✅ Excellent hospitality by room service & Chef Fafa was super nice ✅ Swimming pools water was clean enough ✅ Have mineral water refill station outside room ✅ Have Mandiri Bank ATM, just beside front parking gate Minuses: ⛔ TV channels were a bit blurry and intermittent signal ⛔ Wifi signal dropped significantly during day to early night ⛔ There was a Please be Silent warning sign, but late in the evening some people were having a party I guess, a bit noisy.

The rooms badly needs renovation. Also, please separate smoking areas from non-smoking with proper walls. Service is oustanding, especially Mba Puput at the reception is amazingly efficient, helpful and friendly.

Clearly one of the best places to stay in Samarinda. Its not just the comfortable rooms and well prepared food, but it is the genuinely warm and friendly staff. Well trained, never intrusive, always helpful, someone has definetely thought about how to make business travelers feel like they are coming home at the end of a long hot hard day at work. Not too excited about the indoor pool though it did come in handy to cool off in. Top marks for variety at breakfast, and the atmosphere at the sports bar every evening with the live bands. Kudos.

Always had issue with late check in due to no room available - peak days or not, similar experience. Room quite comfy and clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. Recommended to get their Cheese Garlic Bread.

Second time staying at the hotel and I can say its 100% worth it. The food was amazing the gym and equipment was perfect for me, the prices were amazing for the room i got the first time I went and the second time I went, and the staff were friendly and helpful. In general, all the staff are very warm, helpful and approachable (especially Aston Sport Bar & Lounge staffs, they are really nice to talk and be with). The foods are amazing. The room is nice and clean also OMG, let’s talk about the bed and pillows, they are really soft and comfy, feels like you are sleeping on a cloud, Heaven! My 3 days of staying were really worth it! I’ll keep coming back for sure ♥️

Stayed 10days for work. proper hospitality, clean room, sheet and towel, breakfast variance👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Great tase and great sense. They invite real mbok jamu for the weekend. Rarely happens. Special salute to chef fafa, thank you for the food!!

Best place to stay .. cool aircon nice bed even we get upgraded because the room we ordered has window and the ready one dont have window... good breakfast especially pastry.. the best is main chef rolling around to help customer.. thanks to chef fafa fadly for special treat.. will come back again..

Nice hotel but one thing that makes me disappointed is that i must wait for quite long to check in to my room. The check in time should be 2 PM, but I must wait untill 2.30 PM And I must check out on time at 12.PM

Can not give 5 star, coz the pool is in poor condition. The water and the jacuzzi is in poor condition too, dirty and sanitation is bad

A pretty good hotel for Aston class. The service provided is very good. The room given was very good. However, the bad thing of Aston Samarinda is that the parking lot is combined with the parking lot for the mall. Thus, it was very difficult for hotel guests to park their cars because of clashes with mall visitors.
