We’re in 2023 and discrimination is still alive, a trip to Bunnings in Springfield proved just this. My mother and I spent over $300 here and was rudely greeted and racially profiled by Helen at the self-checkout who breathed down our necks as we scanned our items. There was another (white) family with a trolley full, however she gave them no mind while they scanned and when they were done she easily scanned their receipt and out they walked. Our experience as Indigenous people was very different. As we scanned our items, she pointed at several of the large items in our cart asking if we’d scanned them, and how much they were so she could check the screen. She then decided to move items in our trolley to make sure there wasn’t anything underneath the dog bed as we scanned the last of our items. Paid and printed the receipt, and let her scan she took the receipt from us and meticulously looked through checking each item on her scanner and what was in our trolley. Never have I experienced such terrible blatant discrimination at a Bunnings before. Bunnings, do better. Helen, do better.

This afternoon we went to Springfield bunnings Cafe and wanted to buy some of the carrot cake but the rude older women working in there at the time wouldn't sell us the fresh cake we had to have the nearly out of date cake and also had to pay the same price as fresh cake. I think that as a customer you should be able to have whatever you want to buy and shouldn't have to have stale food you. don't go to the supermarket and have them tell you, you have to buy nearly out of date food. WORST BUNNINGS CAFE AROUND YOU SHOULD TAKE NOTE FROM BUNNINGS BUNDAMBA THEIR CAFE PEOPLE ARE GREAT WONT BE GOING TO SPRINGFIELD BUNNINGS CAFE AGAIN

Another example of a great alternate go-to place for your hardware needs. Lots of great customer experience from the real friendly staff and fellow shoppers. A must for all DIYers like me!

Springfield Bunnings is the place to go! All the staff are always lovely and always willing to help! Tonight one of the staff (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name) was very knowledgeable and helpful! She was walking back and forth with us while we were purchasing our new BBQ and accessories! Thank you again!

Bunnings is the best here. The staff are friendly and helpful. The variety is endless. Only problem is, I never have enough money to spend there.

My local hardware store. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Particularly Douglas at the door making my 5yo daughter laugh. Head here too much probably and kids are always hounding me to go to kids club on the weekend haha

Has most things that I want whenever I go. Have to special order others. I am always happy with the level of expertise they bring and advice they can offer for projects.
