A good option for lodging. Good views from the top floor. A bit out of town but it can be a healthy hike! The room was always clean. Buffet breakfast was always plentyful.

Room's are ok, bathrooms not so much the toilet in our room doesn't have enough pressure so you have to flush it several time's in order to work. Host's at the bar / restaurant was not very friendly. Atmosphere her is that the staff are not friendly enough to make it a better comfortable staying location.

The room I was in had a mouldy smell to it, it's more like a motel then a hotel. The bathroom is very old and unpleasant. The sheets had stains even the towels looked old and dirty. The bed wasn't stable and there were no blankets... the sliding door was broken. It wasn't a pleasant stay and would not be staying there again. Really disappointed and the only good thing was the views and balcony ... the rest was not nice

Unfortunately the standard of this hotel has really dropped compared to the last time I visited which was only a few years ago. Reception staff and porters were not helpful at all and looked as though they had better things to do. There were many men loitering in the main entrance/reception area as well as on level 2 of the hotel. A concern for me as a woman and I would often get woken up by staff & locals yelling at each other from one end of the corridor to the other. The location of Insel is great which is the reason why I often stay here but would need to rethink other options as my recent 2 week stay was a disruptive one.

Would give it a 5 but needs renovating for the ground floor and is missing a lift or wheelchair accessibility. Patricia on reception is a star. They all were, really. Location from town was perfect. Pizza joint across the road and Lynns supermarket were solid.

So we booked our room online so it would be much easier for us to check in, when we arrived the lady at the front desk done said “ you guys were the ones who force yourself through the system” as if we were the ones who knew, we booked what was online period! she then told us that she doesn’t know if she’s able to give us the second night we PAIDED for as if it was our fault. She made us feel like we were in the wrong and said that the app that we booked through they have been trying to not use it anymore. First of all you shouldn’t even be having your business/hotel on that app if you can’t even provide the rooms set out for your potential customers. And to add on to that it was bad service from the hotel overall, the room was set to be done and we were suppose to check in by 1pm but no we went in at around 3pm! AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE ROOMS the pictures that were on the website/app don’t come close to what we saw!!! Mold on the ceilings, mold on the small sanitary products provided by the hotel, the bed had bloody stains and didn’t even looked washed! The kettle was still dirty and was completely left and not washed! The protective screening was ripped and broken on the bottom half letting in bugs and when walking into the room we found a DEAD COCKROACH 🤮. And when they were coming to give us our towels that they forgot to put in our room after taking so long they didn’t even want to knock they just unlocked the door and came walking in!SOO RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL! And there air conditioning kept beeping through the night and the shower was soo small as well as kept dripping through the night which was super annoying!! overall I would not recommend staying here at this DISGUSTING AND FILTHY PLACE please save your well earned money and go somewhere else TRUST ME ! And please take down those picture of your hotels rooms they don’t even look like that FALSE ADVERTISEMENT ✨ Yours Truly… Sara 💗

Took my kids to use the pool - called in advance to see if it was open to non-guests. Glad it was ($5WST per person). The pool was average - could do with a decent clean. No staff present so anyone could have used the pools and no one would know the difference.🤷‍♀️

Room had one working light, shower was not clean, ants in jug and the air con only half worked. Location to town is ok. Service by staff was good 👍

Very basic accommodation. Half my lights did not work and the shower was temperamental together with a micro ant infestation (Top level). If you can see past that you can get a good night's sleep. I do not think it is 3 stars.

Title: Beware of Their Incompetence and Lack of Accountability! I recently had the misfortune of booking a hotel room through Expedia, and I must say it was one of the most horrendous experiences I've ever had as a traveler. Upon arriving at the hotel on the day of my reservation, I was greeted with the shocking news that they had no record of my booking. Despite providing them with all the necessary details and receiving a confirmation from Expedia, the hotel claimed to be fully booked and had no room available for me. Can you imagine the frustration and inconvenience of being left without a place to stay? I was left scrambling to find alternative accommodation at the last minute, and the only available option was significantly more expensive than what I had originally booked. I strongly advise anyone considering booking through Expedia to think twice. Don't make the same mistake I did. Their incompetence and lack of accountability will only lead to frustration and disappointment. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for a reliable and trustworthy travel booking service. Note: This review is based on my personal experience and reflects my honest opinion.

The hotel rooms were okay with shower floors needing an upgrade. LinensI were old and highly recommending that they be replaced. Food quality could be improved, and services be reviewed when there’s tour groups in so that every guest can be served and avoid groups taking over the buffet breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Faafetai to y’all namely Patricia, Tuma, Opeta, Tala - you made my stay 🙌🏽

Overall 7/10 🤩 We stayed from the 3/8/23-13/8/23 (10 nights) It was a great stay. Communication was good prior to checking in, during & later. Staff was great, some do not speak English just FYI. A real bang for your buck, it was quite cheap for 10 nights (approx. $1500NZD) so we couldn’t complain. If you want LUXURY this is not for you. It has everything you NEED! Great stay.

Good location. Really poor customer service. No toilet paper on arrival, rubbish behind bathroom door and cold "hot" breakfast. Wouldn't recommend unless desperate for accommodation.

Reasonable room space (stayed on the 3rd floor) with beds, table, chair, TV, hot & cold water. A swimming pool, tennis court and reasonably large open space in front of the hotel for exercise. Good service and location is along the Upolu Island, Cross Island Road and overlooking Apia, Samoa 🇼🇸

Had a mix up with our booking at the beginning but were shifted up to the 3rd floor where rooms were newly renovated. Rooms were cleaned. Great breakfast and included in rates

At first, I wasn’t a fan when my brother informed my mother and I they couldn’t rebook us when we missed our two night stay due to flight delays. They weren’t planning to refund us either and said can rebook but not sure when. The only two suggestions we have is to have better communication within staff so customers aren’t confused or told different things from diff people. Buttt, thank goodness Patricia pictured below managed our dilemma and rebooked us! We were put on the 3rd level which is newly renovated. Clean but smell of bathroom sewer is funky. Service at breakfast buffet was good as well as lovely Patricia and few workers who carried our many luggage to 3rd floor (No elevator fyi)!! My fave thing was the view from 3rd floor.

our original accommodation fell thru so we checked into Insel , greeted by the lovely Patricia. she was very helpful and booked our rooms straight away, the cleaning ladies were always so lovely and talkative. the porters were always so helpful, grateful for the tastey buffet breakfast every morning that was included in our stay. The guy who was at the buffet with long hair always had it tied back and had one eye that a different colour(I'm so sorry I can't remebr his name but it started with F) he was always so lovely and made sure the fan was on us while we enjoyed breakfast. loved how it was close to everything and that you could also do your own laundry there. loved that we could just walk to Lyns supermarket, the pizza place or the massage place next door. Mai gym down the road and mount vaea just up the road. so convenient thanks for having us 🙏

Poor Customer Service when trying to get in touch with guests and the night shift person can't speak English and hangs up multiple times. Had to call more than 14 times and they would answer then click the phone. Disgusting behavior for a Hotel

Had the pleasure of staying for 3 weeks. Love the location, handy and close to everything we needed. Cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The staff took such great care of us, really felt like home away from home for me. The ladies at the reception and kitchen staff were amazing throughout our stay. Thankyou Adele and Staff! Will be back very soon!

Unfortunately our stay was not at all as we’d hoped. When we first arrived, there was no running water in our room. We alerted the staff and they said they would get somebody onto it promptly. An honest mistake we thought. Over an hour later the water was fixed only to then discover our fridge was broken, and they couldn’t get it fixed until the following day, after we’d checked out. We were just asked to make do. The bed linen was also dirty with marks and stains. We had to pick clean pieces of linen off of the two beds in our room to make one full semi clean looking set. Finally, when we asked the gentleman at the front desk for the wifi details, he said he didn’t have those either. So we went without wifi aswell. With nothing in our room working we went down to the pool and saw that was a in a state aswell, so simply opted to check out first thing in the morning. Unfortunate as I was under the impression it was a well regarded complex in Samoa. I don’t believe we will ever brave going back.

Nice hotel conveniently located on Cross Island road. If you are on the second or third floors, you have a lovely view out towards the ocean. Stayed here during Cyclone, barely heard anything going on outside. Most of the surrounding area had no power for days, while this hotel had no lapse in electricity.

Rooms are large, cleanliness of room is ok, air conditioning and fan in room.Room has a kitchen and full size fridge. Breakfast was complimentary but not very extensive. Not worth paying for - suggest getting it elsewhere unless it's included in the package. Parking is available. Located quite far from the centre of Apia - could walk there but it would take some time. Good supermarket located close by though.
