Fantastic resort.... The owners have put a lot of thoughts into making Amoa a beautiful experience for all families.... Units with big private outside showers and the room each beautifully decorated & spacious. Short walk to the sea for some snorkeling and relaxation on the sun chairs. Staff helpful and very friendly. My only recommendation is for the pool bar to be staffed when guests are using the pool.

Stayed at Amoa for 3 nights. Rooms were in excellent condition, we had a garden villa with a private semi-outdoor shower, TV, fridge & coffee and tea amenities etc. Excellent hospitality, staff were very friendly and helpful. Used hotel restaurant 2 of the nights and were more than happy with the meals given. Taste, portions etc. 10/10. Other than the pool being open 24/7, the beautiful clear blue beach is just across the road which we enjoyed swimming in the most. Thanks for having us Amoa!

Beautiful spot. Great rooms with TVs. Our dinner was delicious, the coconut cream cake is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Fish was fresh and well prepared. The entertainment was great, I loved the musicians at dinner- the guitars and vocals were just like listening to a great album while we ate.

Enjoyed our stay on Savaii. Rooms were clean and staff friendly. Across the road, lovely swimming and snorkelling. Clear blue warm water protected by the outer reef. Quiet laze around the pool.

A resort just right next to clear, light-blue waters! We felt welcomed as soon as we stepped into the reception, receiving a refreshing Vaitopolo (Samoan lemonade). A 2-day tour around Savai’i, an amazing pool where to relax, and the staff always with a genuine smile on their faces. Delicious food and great hospitality!

A Hidden Gem in Savai'i: Amoa Resort's Charm and Character I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Amoa Resort in Savai'i, and I must say that this quaint 3-star gem exceeded my expectations in more ways than one. Despite its modest rating, the resort offers a unique and memorable experience, thanks to its attentive staff, delightful cuisine, and a picturesque location. Amoa Resort's location, just across the road from a pristine beachfront, is nothing short of spectacular. The crystal-clear ocean is an invitation to swim, snorkel, kayak and jump off the pier into the inviting waters. We got up early to swim at dawn and watch the sunrise floating in the ocean; this will be a cherished memory forever! The accommodations at Amoa Resort were comfortable and inviting. The air conditioning provided a refreshing escape from the island's warmth, and the beds were cozy, ensuring a good night's sleep. However, it was disappointing that the swim-up bar was not staffed or open during my stay, as it could have added a unique touch to the overall experience. The food was delicious, rivaling more highly rated hotels in Samoa. Especially loved the fish tacos and fresh bbq'd corn. The only downside was the occasional ingredient shortage, which, while a minor issue, did impact the overall dining experience. The staff at Amoa Resort were the true stars of the show. Their professionalism and polished service were truly impressive. They went above and beyond to make sure guests felt comfortable and well taken care of, which added a touch of luxury to the stay. If you have your own car, a visit to the Afu Aau Waterfall is a must! The water is crystal clear and jumping from the top was so much fun! In summary, Amoa Resort in Savai'i is a hidden gem that punches above its weight. Its 3-star rating might not reflect the charm, character, and unique experiences it offers, and value for money. The location is breathtaking, the staff is exceptional, and the food is delightful. While there are some minor hiccups with ingredient shortages and the swim-up bar, these did not detract significantly from the overall experience. If you're looking for an authentic and memorable island getaway, Amoa Resort is an excellent choice. I left with fond memories and a desire to return, hoping that the swim-up bar will be operational next time.

We stayed here 7 nights and had a great time. They have live entertainment every night and good food/drinks especially dinner. Breakfast was a bit lacking - rooms were really nice, beautiful individual bungalows. We had an issue with the hot water but that was fixed. There was no wifi for all but the last day but I didn’t mind that tbh. Really enjoyed the nature walk and coco tasting - Service was mixed with some staff doing really well and others not so much. The location is ok if you have a rental car and can drive to beaches but the spot in itself isn’t the best spot on the island for good beach access. You can still swim and snorkel there but there’s no sandy beach - (Best for beach access I saw were the resorts near Manase, especially Le Lagoto and savaii lagoon resort). There are almost no gluten free options if you or someone is your party is celiac (this is the whole island btw) so bring your own gf soy sauce/ bread / toaster / whatever else you can manage. Overall, if you’re someone who spends quite a bit of time at the resort, using pool, meals etc and/or have the ability to travel around the island, it’s a good option.

This is the second time we have stayed at Amoa Resort and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone. We had a Garden Villa and it was perfect. The facilities were amazing and the staff were so friendly and helpful.
