The museum was much better then expected. Well selected collection of paintings, sculptures and installation, easy to navigate through. The descriptions are only in Spanish but Google translate worked like a charm. It is donation based and was not crowded on Friday when I went there. It’s not big so you don’t need more than 1h.

Beautiful building, spacious clean and well organized art exhibitions. Art is wonderfully local and depicts local themes... Loved it. I believe exhibitions are changed every few months... So that means it is never dull or boring. Entry was Free. Visited Sunday afternoon. You can give a donation if you want.

Excellent collection of Oaxaca artists. Most of the exhibit was contemporary artists well worth seeing their work. Not sure how often they rotate the exhibits but it is free so why no visit regularly.

A wonderful museum displaying modern works from local artists; painting, woodworking, and mixed media. Highly recommend.

Says it's open at 9am all week. Not open. Somewhere else it says 10am. Not open. Waited in the park. At 10:20am they opened the door and by the time we got there it was closed again. They don't answer their phone. Giant signs confirming exhibits through May 8th.

Great place to get to know local artists works and pieces. Most exhibits are temporal and rotating so it all depends on the current exhibition at the time of your visit. Interesting colonial building properly maintained. Sunday entrance is donation based.

Wow—such fascinating art! Much of the work is really playful, yet direct and insightful. The building is quite exceptional, too. Here are some of the beautiful art that really resonated with me.

Always will be expositions of diferents paints painted for Oaxacan artists, them are amazing and I always enjoy them. The entrance have no cost and if you have big bags you can save in cabbages that they have.

The exhibits and the building are spectacular. You only need one hour to visit this outstanding small art museum in the middle of Centro. Can't wait to visit the next time in Oaxaca!

Beautiful facility. The exhibit Infancia Interruptus by Agustin Castro and Agustin Portillo was powerful, disturbing and all too accurate. An indictment of religion and capitalism. Admission is free but it deserves a donation.

Free museum worth 20 minutes of browsing time. Infancia Interruptus by Augustín Castro was powerful in an original way. I didnt connect much with the other exhibits, but I imagine in a few months there will be new ones.

Small, but powerful museum. Walking through the galleries didn’t take more than an hour, but the art displayed was a great representation of the area.

Beautiful museum with very real and emotional exhibits. Highly recommend, especially if Infancia Interruptus by Augustín Castro is still displayed.

Although the main exhibition when we went was garbage, the venue is really nice and there were a few great exhibits. They just need to make sure they don’t fall into the “white man is bad” trend - it’s honestly overplayed and sick.
