Very basic accommodation matching the price. Beds were comfy, clean rooms, staff friendly. Cafe and restaurant close by where meals can be enjoyed for a good price.
The location is good but the place is only better than the street. The bathroom doesn’t have door, separating with a curtain to room. There is no toilet paper stand and nothing to hang a towel on, in the bathroom. You get some new ideas about interior design as the beds are screwed to the wall.
Friendly and welcoming staff. I was surprised at how clean the room and bathroom was. Location was fabulous - a cafe across the road and a shop on the hostel ground floor. Very good value for money. I really enjoyed my stay here and highly recommend!
I stayed here one night before moving on to the next city so I didn't have big expectations. The room and bathroom was clean, and the receptionist was nice. If you just want a bed for the night it's perfect. The reception is open 24-7 which also means that people are coming and going all the time and you can hear everything so maybe an earplug will be needed.
We stayed at the hostel for our first night because we arrived late, and it was very affordable compared to other hotels in the area. We ended up booking an extra night as we were pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the excellent location. The hostel is situated in a more “Spanish” and less touristy area of the city, surrounded by small, authentic Spanish restaurants. Staying here was an absolute pleasure. It's clear that the staff pays attention to reviews, as they’ve added small mirrors to most rooms and are very diligent about hygiene and maintaining rules to keep the hostel clean and welcoming. Although I can’t speak for how the hostel is during the summer, I would definitely recommend it during the low season.
We stayed here in November. The rooms and shared bathrooms were clean. It is however wise to bring earplugs because of the noise outside. We were a bit hesitant because of the bad reviews but were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. I looks like they made an effort to improve everyones stay here as they clearly stated the house rules during check-in. The rules included no smoking, no visitors and leaving the key at their place when leaving the building. Desk is open 24/7 and it has a big convenience store with snacks and drinks open 24/7 as well.
The check-In guy did not let me check-in without a physical passport. My portemonnaie was stolen so I just had a paper from the police and a photocopy. That was not enough for him and he said it's forbidden by law to let me in. That's not true the backup hotel let me in with the copy. They also didn't understand that behaviour. This place scared the shit out of me to be homeless for the night. Obviously I have to say don't stay there!
The hostel was nice, clean, nothing that amazing but for the price was good!
