Super view! You can see different mountains and also Roque Nublo. Easy parking on the side of the road. At the end are some official parking spots but not a lot. There is a food truck as well for some refreshments.

Great view, one of the best sunsets ever. We didn’t take the easy route, we walked up here from Llanos de la Pez, the short and steep way up. Awesome experience!

Pico de los Pozos, the highest peak on Gran Canaria, offers an incredible panoramic view that is nothing short of breathtaking. I've had the privilege of visiting this viewpoint twice, and each time was a unique and memorable experience, despite our initial setback due to unfavorable weather conditions on our first attempt. On our first visit, we were met with disappointing weather conditions that obstructed the view. However, the experience of standing above the clouds was awe-inspiring in itself. Being enveloped in mist and fog added an ethereal quality to the moment, making it a memorable experience. It's essential to note that the weather on this mountain can be unpredictable, so it's wise to check the forecast before planning your visit. Our second visit, on the other hand, was nothing short of spectacular. We were greeted with a clear sky that unveiled a mesmerizing view of the entire island and even allowed us to spot Teide, the highest peak on Tenerife, in the distance. The sense of accomplishment and wonder that washed over us as we stood there, taking in the stunning vistas, was truly indescribable. Pico de los Pozos offers free parking, which is incredibly convenient. There is ample space, ensuring that everyone can find their ideal spot to soak in the scenery. However, keep in mind that the temperature at this altitude can be quite different from the coast. While it may be scorching hot down below, expect temperatures around 10 degrees Celsius (50 degrees Fahrenheit) and chilly winds at the peak. It's advisable to bring some warm clothing to stay comfortable during your visit. In conclusion, Pico de los Pozos is a must-visit for anyone traveling to Gran Canaria. Its ever-changing weather conditions add an element of unpredictability, making each visit unique. Whether you find yourself above the clouds or gazing at the island's beauty in clear skies, the experience is guaranteed to leave you in awe. Don't forget to pack something warm, as the temperature difference can be quite stark. This viewpoint promises an unforgettable journey to the top of the world on this remarkable island.

We rented a car when in Gran Canaria and decided to try and see some recommended places. One of them was Pico de la Nieves and the only thing I can advice you to do is to RENT A CAR AND DRIVE THERE. It was AMAZING! The drive up there was out of this world. Winding mountain roads that take you from 30 degrees when leaving the hotel to 12 degrees when driving the amazing journey back to sunshine when you ready the top. It felt unreal at times. We had sun, fog, cloud, rain and the most amazing views ever. Our little rented convertible Fiat 500 had no issues getting up and around the hairpin bends. Treat yourself on an amazing drive and experience and go here if you only want to do one thing when you’re visiting the island !

Truly worth the long drive to reach the view point. The views are breathtaking, even if its a cloudy day. Arrive an hour before sunset to enjoy the scenery then find your position to take the photos you'll remember for the rest of your life. Bring a jumper for early evening just incase and some snacks to make the most of it. The only sound advice I'd offer, make sure you have enough fuel in your vehicle to do the trip as there are no services nearby. Enjoy and make memories. worth the long drive to reach the viewpoint. An interesting place to visit. I could say that i have visited many other interesting peaks and i have had more beautiful mountain views, but due to the fact that the peak is in the middle of an island, makes it super special. The rocks are very interesting to observe and to understand that you are somewhere in the ocean, on top of a mountain. You can go there by car too. The road leads directly to the peak, but i find it better if you hike.

We visited late November: at the coast it was 23 C, but once you get up here in the mountains it was 8! So dress prepared. It was super cold, and super foggy, but we got some snacks and drinks at the little shop/van as we waited to see if the fog would clear. Thankfully it did eventually, we took some quick snapshots before the fog covered everything again. I can imagine on a clear day you can see so much more of the island. The fog did give an air of mysticism to the trip, so it wasn´t bad.

Beautiful place but unfortunately it became a cloudy day and we couldn’t see much. If you want to go, do it when there are no clouds.

  • 5/5 Michael L. 5 months ago on Google
Just breathtaking, you need to see it for yourself to appreciate the feeling of balancing on the peak, looking down with the wind whipping around you. Beware the small parking and turning area though.

Excellent view point, 2nd highest on the Island from you can see Roque Nublo, Roque Bastón and Teide. Parking is available but limited, as well as a stand to buy drinks, sandwiches and local products. No WC

Excellent view point. Easily accessible v from car, or bike. The roads are wide and easy to drive. The views are magnificent - you get to see a good 300 degrees. Depending on your luck, you will see clouds on one side and non on the other. It’s a really dramatic view. Can get windy so make sure you got something windproof specially in the colder months.

Approximately an hour drive from Las Palmas, this viewpoint is worth to visit. Amazing view of the island, and we can actually see the coastline to the east and surrounding mountains and villages. It is interesting to see how the vegetation changes as we drive up to the top.

Nice view if you into that sort of thing, the roads leading up to it are quite windy. a snack van is parked up in the tiny car park so parking is very limited, no other facilities are available i.e. toilets picknick tables

Amazing views! The drive up and back down is not for the faint hearted though. There is parking at the top and a refreshment van open until 5pm. There are also some walking trails through the adjacent woodland. Well worth the effort of getting there.

One of my absolute musts when visiting Gran Canaria! Rent a car for the day and experience the fun drive up the mountain! On a clear day you can see Teneriffe and many parts of the island from the highest point on Gran Canaria. Well worth the hour-long journey from our hotel in Mogan.

Nice starting point for a hiking. We went from here towards the Roque Nublo. Great views, nice flora. Little bit windy in february but it was a great experience.

What an amazing viewpoint. We were lucky enough to see the most amazing sunset looking over the top of the clouds. And in the distance you could see Tenerife 😊🌞😎

There is a pretty big parking and an option to climb a higher cliff just above it. Or you can climb down and take photos from there. Take notice of the temp 🌡 . The altitude made it almost 15 degrees different from the south beaches. We weren't expecting +7 after +24.

Nice viewpoint. We started a hike to Nublo from here. Wich was stupid since we did not get to nublo (even we followed the signs). Also it was really really hot in august to hike! We did not regret it, since the hike through the woods was an experience!

  • 5/5 Tom E. 1 year ago on Google
Without question the best views on the island. I am so pleased we ventured away from the coast as you can see for miles. Also a clear view of Tenerife from here. Refreshments available if you need them and the roads up are very good so long as your steering wheel works!

  • 5/5 Michael Y. 2 years ago on Google
Wonderful views from the highest point on Gran Canaria. You can clearly see El Teifey, Spain's highest mountain, on the neighboring island of Tenerife as well as the volcanic valleys and ridges surrounding the Pico de las Nieves

👍👍 Quaint, pretty little town perched on a hillside as most towns in the central hilly region of Gran Canaria are. There is a nice little medicinal plants museum in town, worth a visit for plant freaks. Entrance 2€. Cafes and restaurants seem to close by 6 pm. Found only 1 restaurant open at 6pm, but...

👍👍 I really liked the reservoir. After scouting in various places, with a bit of climbing and a short hike I found the perfect spot and I really enjoyed the views. Especially since the path through the mountains of Gran Canaria always offers magnificent views.
