We had lovely experience in rooms 184 and 186. 2 rooms for our family beside each other with great private terrace with chairs and sun beds for us own. The swimming pool for children and bar just behind the corner. Delicious food and a lot of activities for children. Highly recommend for families and adults too. Free bus going to the beach. I would love to come back here.
I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in room 320, which offered lovely views of the gardens and very quiet . It's perfect for families with kids, thanks to the amazing animation team and the variety of activities and night-time shows. The pools and water park are excellent, and the all-inclusive package provided a great selection of food and snacks throughout the day, with beer and wine available on tap. The only improvement I could suggest is adding a snack station closer to the water park area. This would make it easier for kids to stay around and still have access to snacks. The hotel is just a two-minute walk from the beautiful dunes, There are plenty of facilities close by, easily accessible, I would definitely recommend this hotel.
We can't praise this place enough. We have been coming twice a year for the past few years and we have never been disappointed. On arrival on the 8th June we were met at reception by a lovely very helpful receptionist Tom he couldn't do enough for us he held our cases so that we could get a bite to eat. We asked if we could up grade our room and he handled our request very professionally.,and we up graded to a swim up room. The house keeping staff are amazing and also very helpful nothing is to much to ask. The food is always plentiful.,and the different themed nights are great, The food a the pool side is also great from lunchtime into evening. The facilities are great to brilliant for children with there own water park, and the ground staff keep the grounds in pristine condition..We will be back in November and we can't wait to see our friends again soon. We stayed in room 118
Me and my daughter have recently returned home from our second trip to Abora Catarina in last 16 months and enjoyed it even more than the first time. Our stay was from 6th April for 1 week, in room 241 which was fabulous, beautiful large balcony, jacuzzi and great view of entertainment and backdrop. I believe his name was 'Himar?' from reception was super welcoming, friendly, always addressed me by name and with a smile, he made our holiday a dream and assisted us with all our requests, I couldn't be more grateful. The entertainment team were fabulous and always engaging and fun, and also special mention to 'Noa/Noe' who I'd often see in the restaurant or collecting glasses around the pool. Again always really friendly, comical and engaging. I can't fault the hotel, team, facilities and restaurant, I've always been more than happy with it. It's in a great location also, close walk to the picturesque dunes, beach and local shopping centres. The pools were a good temperature too which is great as my daughter is really nesh! So we both enjoyed plenty of time with at the splash park and other pools. We plan to return again in the not so distant future and would absolutely recommend for families. Thank you to all who made our stay a positively memorable one 🙏
We went as a family 5 adults and 2 kids had the best time. The hotel is amazing with amazing staff, the minute we walked in Lidia.FA was so helpful and made it easy for us stay as my grandma came who is 89 years old and the hotel was perfect for the wheelchair and able to go everywhere in the hotel. We got upgraded to a Jacuzzi room which was the best and had a blast. The kids pool is cold and need maybe heated pool as this was the only thing we had an issue with and kids couldn’t enjoy as much as weather was not that hot. But overall 10 out of 10 for food, service and room. Big shout to the following staff who were super helpful Tom P, Alberto and Laura.L I would definitely go back to the hotel.
Our young family of four recently stayed in room 314 at Abora Catarina and we had a truly fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by friendly and attentive staff who went out of their way to make us feel comfortable throughout our stay. The room was lovely and spacious, with plenty of room for the whole family to relax. Everything was clean, well-maintained and thoughtfully laid out, making it a perfect base for our holiday. We really enjoyed the food and drink options, with a good variety each day and something to suit all tastes, even our picky eaters. The pool area was a definite highlight, with plenty of space to lounge and relax without feeling crowded. Our children absolutely loved the fantastic splash park and took full advantage of the kids’ activities, which were brilliantly organised by the excellent animation team – full of energy, fun and great with little ones. Another big plus was the location, just a 5 minute walk to the beautiful dunes, which made for a great family outing. All in all, Abora Catarina was the perfect choice for our family holiday and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended for families looking for a fun, relaxing getaway with great service and facilities.
We as a family of four, two kids aged 9 and 12, just came back from a week's holiday in Abora Catarina. All the staffs were really friendly, from the cleaning team to the restaurant and the entertainment team. Special mention to Tom at the reception desk. He was very helpful at our check-in, and on day 3 when I had emergency situation he went above and beyond to help. Food was good, they have a theme for each day and you do get quite a variety of cuisine. I like their self service drinks (water, fizzy drinks, tea and coffee) and snacks (sandwiches, doughnuts and muni muffins) at the lobby where you can help yourself 24 hours a day. They also have snacks and drinks by the pool where you can just go and get what you want, unlike other hotels where snack time was limited to 2 hours between main meals. Our room was spacious m, some rooms have private pools. Our kids love the water slides. The location is good, 5 min walk to the sand dunes, 25min walk to Playa del Ingles beach or they have an hourly bus from 9.30 to 15.30. The bus stop to main cities/towns is just outside the hotel, and most tours provide pick up at the roundabout near the hotel too. Very convenient. We took a bus to Las Palmas, 6.25euro each way for adult/kid.
Room 351: The rooms are basic and feel outdated. The safe doesn’t work unless you pay for it, which I haven’t had to do in years. The paintwork is worn, and the bottom of the bathroom door is falling apart due to water damage from the shower, which is also in poor condition with mould and general wear. The shower floods the bathroom every time it’s used. The decor features garish yellow accents—perhaps aimed at families? Food/Restaurant: The food selection is decent, no complaints there. However, the drink dispensers (both beer and soft drinks) are frustrating. The beer taps produce more foam than liquid, and the soft drinks are so fizzy it takes forever to fill a glass. It would be a much better experience if there were child-free dining areas—while I understand this isn’t an adults-only hotel, being able to enjoy a meal without constant screaming and tantrums would improve the experience for many guests. Entertainment: Not my thing, but unfortunately, my room overlooked the outside entertainment area. Even with the balcony doors shut, the noise was impossible to escape—especially the constant sound of screaming children. Pool: Small but functional. However, I find it ridiculous that you can’t have a glass outside, even when seated in the bar area—I’m an adult. Also, there’s practically nowhere to vape other than at the front of the hotel, which is inconvenient. Staff: Friendly and helpful—no complaints. Overall: Would I return? No. Is this a 4-star hotel? Definitely not. At best, it’s a 3-star on a good day. Maybe a 4 star for guests with lower expectations and less travel experience.
I recently stayed at Abora Catarina in room 230 on an all-inclusive basis, and I had the most amazing experience! The staff were absolutely fantastic – always welcoming, friendly, and truly went above and beyond to make my stay special. There was a great variety of food and drinks available throughout the day – everything was fresh, delicious, and catered to all tastes. The atmosphere around the resort was vibrant yet relaxing, and the service was consistently excellent. A special touch that made my stay even more memorable was how they surprised me on my birthday with a lovely personal message and a box of almond chocolates in my room – such a thoughtful gesture that really made my day! The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. I couldn’t have asked for a better holiday and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!
Lovely hotel. Staff are amazing everywhere, shout out too the animation team who really did go above and beyond especially with evening shows. Some of the best hotel entertainment I've seen and I used to be a holiday rep on the island a few years ago so hat's off. Food was great, the labelling could have been improved especially as I was vegetarian and sometimes found it hard to work out what's what. Drinks at bar great and all inclusive served late which was great. Rooms a tad tired but they were freshening them up in the next block. Would stay again. Highly recommend.
