If you’re looking for a more commercial beach close to higher-end hotels, this is the place for you. The famous dunes are just a short walk away and perfect for a stroll. If you like to have everything available on-site and don’t enjoy carrying extra stuff with you, this beach is definitely a good fit.

A nice enough beach, but was very busy on our visit. Has a few people walking up and down trying to sell you large blankets, but they didn't seem too pushy or anything. Be careful if you have small kids and are walking to the Dunes from here as part of it is a nudist beach! (Took a bit of explaining to the small people...!)

Playa del Inglés is definitely one of the most popular beaches on the island, and it’s easy to see why. The beach is long, vibrant, and full of life, making it a great spot whether you want to sunbathe, enjoy a long walk, or grab a drink at one of the many beach bars. The area is packed with restaurants and shops, so you’re never far from something to eat or do. I liked that there are plenty of sunbeds available, and the convenience of toilets and showers adds to the experience. It’s a beach that really caters to everyone, from families to solo travelers. The mix of European tourists from different nationalities gives it a lively vibe. However, it’s worth noting that it’s also a popular spot for nudists. If you’re into sports, the beach is a hub of activity, with zones for volleyball, soccer, and water sports. It’s great to see how much there is to do, but if you’re there to relax, you can find a quieter spot. One thing to be mindful of is that it can get very hot during the day, so sunscreen and a hat are a must. Also, be careful in the water, as there are some stony areas that can be tricky to navigate. Overall, Playa del Inglés is a fantastic beach with so much to offer. Whether you want to relax or stay active, it’s a great place to spend a day!

7.5 eur for 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella for the day. Clean beach, no crowds, pretty safe, good for families, individuals, couples. Wonderful in the morning when no one is around. Huge waves during the whole day, almost impossible to swim, but i spent my whole holiday here on this beach. Proximity to the small tourist district in the background. Supervised by red cross and police. No marine life around such as sea urcins or jellyfish. Endless walking space. Close to the watersports activities such as jet-ski, parasailing etc.

The beach is quite spacious, clean and well-kept, and the golden yellow sand, lovely. The wind is felt, and if you can sunbathe between 10:00 and 16:00 (early Juaniary), then after 4pm you may need a light coat. In some places, there are many areas set up with sun loungers and umbrellas that occupy good parts of the beach, and you can't sit with a blanket on the sand, unless you go a little further. On the beach, at certain distances, there are stalls selling drinks (cold and hot) and something to eat. Toilets are also located there. Garbage containers are also located at suitable distances on the beach. Of course it depends on the weather conditions, but when I went in early January - the weather was good and the water calm, clear and warm. Only one day there were stronger waves, but it was still interesting playing with the waves. :) P.S. Paracetamol is expensive here, €8.00, so you can take it with you in case of need.

Nice, wide beach. The water is clean but not very clear. It has sand and somehow prevents you to see the floor. But still very nice place to chill and swim.

The longest beach in Gran Canaria. Huge, extremely clean, passes by the dunes reservation of Maspalomas. Friendly with nudists also. Fantastic walks, baths in the sun and the ocean, the sand is fine. Far away it is rocky but huge part of it is prapared for turists.

Of course this is not the nicest beach in Gran Canaria, Playa del Ingles in general is not that picturesque. However this beach is huge and the coastline goes on for miles. As a result you get a lot of privacy and can sit peacefully without sitting on top of anyone else. And yes, some parts of the beach are nude, but they’re usually hidden and no one’s walking around flashing anyone! The beach was clean and the water was a beautiful blue colour. If you’re staying at a nice resort here, this beach will do, but personally I’d stay near Puerto Rico / Amadores where the beaches are more ethereal. Of course, you can always take the public bus there :)

It's a safe place very popular with locals as well as tourists. The sunbeds with parasol are €7.50 (for two users). There are many points when you reach the edge of the beach and back to paved areas, where you can wash off your sandy feet or indeed yourself fully, these are free. There are many taxis to be found even at the busiest points in the car park, just the other side of beach.

Huge beach with plenty of space. Super clean, there is space to lay down on your towel or rent a sunbed. We didn't use the sunbeds but explored the bar instead. Every few meters you have a small bar with very friendly ladies and some simple places to sit and a few umbrellas if you need some shade. There are also toilets behind the bar for free. Mixed drinks were under 10€ and were very generous. You can pay by card too. Otherwise there are also many trash cans which keeps the beach clean, red cross stand and many places from which you can enter the beach, for example passing the dunes as well.

Where the F do I start? Im not a snob. Far from it. I came from humble beginnings. My father worked with his hands as a stock broker for a small firm called Hargreaves landsdown. My mother didn't even have a job, and as kids, we only had 2 holidays a year. Most of these we were isolated to the Seychelles or the Maldieves as money was tight. So believe me when I say that like everybody else I enjoy the simpler things in life. However.....with that being said, Playa de Ingles is a little to 'simple'. In fact, it's genuinely a little bit grim. Whilst I was there, I overheard an old German couple describe it as the Bognor regis of Gran Canaria. In fact, Bognor could be considered upper class compared to playa de ingles. Why have I come to this conclusion? Here goes... 1). The beach is surrounded, and I mean surrounded by shops selling cheap souvenirs. The bars wind round in a snaking narrow street, and you can't walk 10 meters without being hounded by a looky looky man trying to sell you a pair of oversized novelty sunglasses. 2). The main square looks like something out of total recall. Generally quite run down and probably not the best place to be on your own at night. 3). Locals can be quite rude and obnoxious. I put 'can' as I'm not tarring everyone with the same brush. Some of the cab drivers and restaurant waiters are really nice, however alot of the interactions we had were reminiscent of having a conversation with a teenage boy who's just hit puberty. 4). Rip off for tourists. A lot of the shops try to rip off tourists with overpriced nonsense. 5). Not a toilet in sight. I sank 4 beers on the beach and naturally, being nearly 40, I needed a wee wee after about 20 minutes. However, much to my surprise, the nearest toilet was a 10 minute walk down the beach. No lock on the door and piss all over the sheet steel floor. It stank and I kept on getting interrupted by people walking in. Why didnt you piss in the ocean? I hear you ask. Well because I read somewhere that a small fish swims up your Willie and I can't remember whether that is in the Amazon or the sea in general, and I'm simply not prepared to take that risk. Anyway I'm in a 5 star all inclusive and the gin and tonics await! So to conclude, dont bother heading here, go to one of the more picturesque beaches to the north or west of the island.

Large beach with shops and restaurants nearby. Beach is kept very tidy and clean. Good place for kids to play. Toilets however are few and far between, as well as dirty. Unless you stay nearby there are better beaches not too far away.

Cracking day out at beach. All the usual suspects there. The lookey-lookey men are not hyper-aggressive like you get in other countries. You only have to say no one time. Very clean beach and very accessible.

Beautiful clean beach with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas and a very low cost €7.50 all day, some lovely restaurants and shops but are a little more expensive than in town . The sea is very shallow for about 20 meyers but beware of the strong high waves if you go out further , all in all a very nice place to spend the day x 😀

Wide beach with good bar facilities , with beautiful views of the famous Maspalomas dunes . On hot days a pleasantly cooling wind with ocean breeze , blowing almost always .
