Every time I brunch in this coffee shop I leave thinking it's even better than I remembered. It's not only the minimalistic, clean and clear décor, or the peaceful, friendly atmosphere. The food is truly exquisite. There's sitting inside and out, and an air of relaxed enjoyment. Customers working on their laptops, visiting with kids of any ages or spending some time with their dogs are all welcome. The coffee is great and the food options varied and original. And, moreover: absolutely delicious! There's an explosion of flavour at every morsel, a dance of textures and contrasts that really work together. On portions that don't disappoint big hungers. I absolutely love every bit of it. Even more than I already did after seeing they also sell Tony's chocolonely :)

Really nice, I had a French toast with bacon. Normally I’m not mixing sweet and salt, but this time I did the it on suggestion on my Canadian friend. I have to say… : to not do it. I don’t know I’m not a huge fan of this so for this it have nothing to have with the reviews. The quality of the items served to me was really good, the pan brioche was perfect mixed and had the perfect aroma of orange and everything mix perfect with the chocolate on top. The bacon it’s not fit a lot, but if you like it, we’ll need to take it. Nice coffee, if you want a little 20p discount on coffees, take your own cup, and they will apply it. The ambient is soft, warm, feel like your are on break from you carpenter work.

The José Hernán Quintero from Colombia is one of my favourite coffees of this year, an extremely rewarding cup exploding with flavour. Great spot for well priced tasty grub and delicious coffee.

Incredible coffee, the latte is one of the best I've had. Picture is of the halloumi bagel and I would definitely get it again. Has seating inside and outside, would be lovely on a warm summers day. Highly recommended

Been coming here recently with big coffee orders and everyone is so thorough and fast!! They always double check everything and make it so quick. Lovely friendly service and great atmosphere, nice pastries too. Always clean and the coffee tastes great - wouldn’t go anywhere else :)

I’m an artist and I understand pretentiousness on some level. However I felt too much- ‘we are greater than thou’. One lady serving was fairly polite but the rest of the staff looked miserable, especially the tall blonde guy serving my coffee from the machine. No smile, minimal acknowledgement, and when my coffee was ready he literally just looked at me with the most depressed grimacing nod. Tbh most times I’ve been here I don’t get a good vibe. Shame

Love the atmosphere of this cafe! It's a bit pricey for me that decaf latte is now £3.. However the best coffee in Walthamstow!

Fantastic coffee, have had a coffee subscription for the best part of year now and after trying lots of different coffee from independent shops, Wood Street was #1.

Roughly £4.20 for a tiny oat latte. 40p extra for milk alternatives. Ridiculous. Way too expensive for Walthamstow. Service is quite slow. The whole café smells like bacon every time. Two stars for interior, it's a nice place otherwise, quite artsy. But the prices and the pig smell are not nice, sorry.

The coffee was good enough but nothing special. The staff were quite rude and made us feel super unwelcome. Would not come back here - the cafe very much values style over substance.

Best coffee in Walthamstow! This was my local coffee spot for 3 years. Friendly staff, fast and delicious coffee, great food. They have the best bacon and the best focaccia therefore their sarnie game is very strong. They’re also pet friendly so you can expect cute dogs. I miss this place!

Argued with me as I wanted a glass to drink from. And the mean-spirited chef flat out refused to make a simple cheese toastie for my three year old - even though they had the requisite ingredients. Not very good for a so called community cafe.

Checked out Blackhorse Workshop Cafe – it's basically a vegan wonderland! 🌱 The food is legit tasty! But here's the cool part – they've got these fun workshops too! I learned a lot – super interesting. And the service? Total champs. Friendly, vibing with the menu, making the whole place feel like a good time. If you're up for delicious vegan eats and a side of cool workshops, Blackhorse is your spot! ✨

  • 5/5 Jhaemes J. 2 years ago on Google
Best coffee in London. Absolute favourite was the Parma Violet roast at Valentines Day; unfortunately they only had 50 bags or some ridiculous number. We got about 10, I think, and would have happily kept buying it. Shame. Steep in price, especially considering we drink about 2kg per month, and still have to buy top up bags a couple times per month from a local cafe. It really adds up in an eye popping way. The divine flavour and smell soon makes you forget the price, to be fair. Delish. Well done, Wood Street. 🙂

Excellent coffee, even better brunch. Wood St Coffee is one of my go-tos for delicious brunch on the weekends. From their banana and pecan French toast to the specials (like the corn fritters), it's stuff you might not necessarily whip up at home and something that's always worth getting out of bed for.

Great coffee, lovely food including for takeaway. Also sells a small selection of kitchen essentials since coronavirus. Pleasant atmosphere, outdoor seating and very on it with social distancing.

Loved this place. Great coffee and fab menu. Was Busy on a sunday so had to wait a bit for a table but that was what the croissant was for!

  • 5/5 Gursharan S. 6 months ago on Google
Its a special place. Not the cheapest. But they do a lot of community work, so one cant grumble too much. The food itself is great. The bacon bap with egg is pricey at £7. But the star is the french toast.l is £11 plus any add ons you might want. I had it a few weeks ago and its been a craving since. Get there early....it sells out.

Wood St Coffee is certainly worth the walk up from the station nearby. You're welcomed into this bright, open space with friendly staff milling about. The coffee is sensational, as well as the food! It's such a breath of fresh air coming here :)

Great place for breakfast, brunch, lunch as well as coffee. Small menu focussed on good quality food rather than a huge range, but with good vegetarian options. Has a ‘functional-practical-cool’ vibe thanks to the basic wood and metal furniture, possibly made at the workshop next door. A busy place - expect to wait a while for food at lunchtimes if you go after 12:30 and particularly for take-away orders. Food can run out early so go early. My tip is if ordering food and coffee to take away, to ask that the coffee is done when the food is ready otherwise you will get your coffee straight away and then wait 20 minutes until the food is done. They have been very happy to replace my coffee when this has happened in the past, but quickly solved if you let them know when you order.

The french toast is incredible, as is the coffee!! Such friendly people here too, I always leave smiling. We were never brunch people, but Wood St has completely converted us (not that we'd go anywhere else!).

Our favourite summer breakfast café: it’s so nice to sit outside and watch the sparrows. Staff are great, pastries and coffee really good, but toast and peanut butter is my go to. Sometimes stage events- we loved the salsa evening- and there are cocktail evenings too…

Seats a little uncomfortable. Not really sure how to order or where to sit if it's your first time but staff are friendly and attentive. Would like to see some more vegi options if possible.👍

Best breakfast and coffee in Walthamstow. We've never been let down by these guys. The pork belly benedict with miso hollandaise is outrageous and the coffee is always bang on. They sell Oatly oat milk and Tony's Chocolonely in the cafe too which is a big win. Can't fault Wood Street Coffee!
