Great original vegan food, with a couple of good gluten free options. The Eton mess comes recommended from my gf partner, the ice cream and waffles come recommended from me. A bit on the pricy side but worth it every once in a while!

Not sure where to begin with this.. not only some of the best vegan food I’ve eaten but the best in general! The quality of the food and the way it’s cooked and presented is absolutely gorgeous, no junk here! Unity has become my favourite place to eat out not just for the atmosphere, the food and the value BUT for the ethics behind the company. They donate all their profit to support animals and are super sustainable. Every restaurant should be watching what they’re doing. Also dog friendly which is lovely! :)

This was the best restaurant (vegan or non-vegan) I've ever been to. Went for a surprise birthday meal whilst visiting London, and it was incredible. Mozzarella sticks were the highlight of the food (so so similar to real mozzarella), but everything was amazing! Staff so lovely and attentive. Venue was beautiful. Overall fully recommend and can't wait to go back!

*dog friendly* Very impressed with this restaurant. I'm not vegan and if I'm having a vegetarian meal, I tend to let veggies be veggies and not entertain meat substitutes. BUT this menu was WOW. The burger tasted and looked like a burger. The fish and chips looked and had the same texture of fish. The lobster Mac & cheese looked and tasted lobster. Vegan meat alternatives have clearly come a long way. I'd definitely return. The only improvement would be that service was very a slow, but very friendly.

Amazing menu! Loads of options for everyone and the 'chicken' dippers in particular were so delicious! These guys have really made a menu that should make it easy for meat eaters to get the textures/flavours they crave, or for vegans who want to try something interesting, It's obviously been well thought out. Heaps of signature cocktails and drinks to choose from too. Busy and with a lively atmosphere, the kitchen staff were super friendly while we sat waiting to be seated and, once seated, were taken good care off by several smiley and positive servers. Overall, a great experience and some of the best meat alternatives I have tried in a restaurant. 10/10

First time at Unity Diner and we'll definitely be back! The food is tasty and definitely satisfying/filling with generous portions. We shared the mozzarella sticks (VERY tasty and shoes close to the original), prawn tempura (good texture, but could taste a bit more flavorful), followed by Truffle shuffle burger with chunky fries (a dream!). Cocktails are also a must try.

The Tofish is amazing and fits its reputation. Fantastic texture, flavour and not too salt. The tartare sauce with it is amazing and reminds me of fish o fillet but x10 better!! Mushy peas fab but slightly too salty for my taste. The burgers was delicious and with a great range of choices. I have no problems being a vegan eating their food!! Would visit again and a great place for celebrations for sure! Clean and comfortable. Yes its considered junk food but I feel healthy after eat it. Overall it wasnt too oily.

Amazing restaurant! Super friendly staff, dog friendly too! 110% make the journey to come here, it's very worth it! Great vibes, and even better food! I had the drumsticks to start which I'd highly recommend! The prawnz were so realistic! And the tofish burger was phenomenal! But seriously, the loftus biscoff cheesecake... 😍🤤 Was unbelievable! Will be coming back soon! 😁

Great vegan restaurant, we loved the burgers (triple patty & 'chicken') and the 'dirty' loaded chips yummy!! The staff were wonderful namely Grace, who went out of her way to change the restaurant's bookings in order to offer us a more suitable dinner time. My son wasn't a fan of the kids meals, he tried two of them in the end and it's a little pricey but not crazy and I imagine quite typical of similar types of restaurants but it's definitely worth it as the food was brilliant and also knowing that eating here is supporting the cause and the main man, Earthling Ed. Thanks guys, will definitely be back for more soon. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Visited Unity Diner on a Friday at about 1pm. Got seated straight away. The staff were lovely. I ordered the tofish and chips, husband ordered the burger. The food was amazing. My 4 year old ate for free - she had 'chicken' poppers and chips. Highly recommend!

We made a reservation in advance to make sure it would be possible to visit this restaurant. It was a must for us, and we planned to include this in our trip, specially after reading the amazing reviews. By curiosity, we asked for a 3D steak with mushroom sauce and it was an amazing experience! The texture is good and the taste also good, but not too complex as I expected. We also tried the Fish 'n Chips and it was my favorite one. The service was a little bit slow, but the house was full. The passion fruit lemonade was amazing! I recommend it, totally worth a try! 🌱

We had such a great night here, food was so tasty, I had the faux cod and potatoes which was a 10/10; so much flavour but I had serious food envy as everything on everybody else’s plate looked delicious too. The person I dined with (not vegan) loved their burger. The waiting staff were absolutely lovely and our waitress was particularly kind and helpful. We will be returning as soon as possible.

I’m seeing all the great reviews for this place and am wondering whether we chose the wrong food… we tried the festive feast burger which was a special, along with the pigs in blankets. They both came with cranberry sauce which was way too overpoweringly sweet and sour. And while it tasted ok, I just think vegan bacon is hard to get right and sadly it didn’t taste like bacon at all. We got some potatoes and fried corn with it too which were both good though. It was buzzy and had a good energy and while service was a little slow, our waitress was friendly. I think I’ll need to return and try some of the other things on offer. The vegan lobster mac and cheese looks interesting!

One of my favourite vegan places in London. Everything is vegan and everyone is friendly. Great for working from, lunch with friends, wonderful cocktails too. Best fake fish I've ever tasted and the 3d printed steak was mind-blowing. Love it here and would recommend to anyone looking for a vegan meal and to non-vegans too!

One of the few restaurants in London where the food is delicious AND the service is excellent! We were pleasantly surprised by how flavoursome the food was, and the meat/prawn alternatives were very convincing. Our experience with reserving a table in advance was seamless, and each waiter/waitress that took our order and checked on us was super friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to coming back again soon :)

I visited Unity Diner for a lunch. I’ve been following Earthling Ed for a while so I was actually very excited about dining here as this place was in fact opened by him. I ordered a hot dog, fries and a coke, and the food was good. Having said that, the service was very slow and the menu did not convince me at all. Most of the items were meat substitutes which is fine but many vegans (including myself) are not really looking for something that tastes like meat hence why it would be nice to have non-meaty products too. Overall, positive experience and I will definitely give it another go.

On our recent trip to UK, We were so excited to try Unity Diner, and It certainly lived up to our expectations, in every way🫶🇬🇧 The food was amazing, atmosphere and service great, and the whole reason for their efforts to provide funds for their Sanctuary just adds to the reasons to support this business. We would be regulars if we lived closer:) *Also check out their NoCatchFishCo. in Brighton, if you get the chance!

Loved the „flank stake“ as you hardly get something like this anywhere else and it tasted so good. The mac‘n‘cheese could have been much cheesier and we didn’t find the hint of vanilla in it to be fitting. Drinks and service was very good and overall liked the place very much. The kids meal was for free which came as a very appreciated surprise to us

Absolutely delicious and we're still stuffed now! We shared the tofish bites and then a plate of the dirty loaded fries. It was so, so good and at a reasonable price for such a good portion. The service was great and the staff shared their recommendations. It was a top meal and we'd definitely come back!

Absolutely IN LOVE with this place! We popped in for a date the other day and ordered the Surf n' Turf hotdog, which was heavenly. Really varied menu, a bit pricey, but still excellent value for money. Were very accommodating to my nut allergies as well. The staff are lovely too...just can't the recommend Unity Diner enough!

Super friendly staff greeted me on arrival, I was the first of my party to get there and they seated me, brought water without me asking and offered me a drink. The Covid check in process was made very easy also. Unity Diner is dog friendly and it had been noted in our booking that one of our party was bring a dog - before said pup had even arrived the staff had delivered a water bowl and vegan dog treats to the table! Super attentive waiters/hosts all evening making for a very relaxed atmosphere. Food was great! Just what you would expect from vegan junk food and really made you think "wow, someone has put alot of time and thought and effort into this" - it paid off! We drank virgin cocktails and alcohol free beer, soaked in the ambience and felt no pressure to leave as soon as our bill was paid - this was also made especially easy with their payment device/tablet/smartphone allowing us to split items or the whole bill or pay individually. Excellent service, great food, brilliant atmosphere. I'll be back! 👐

Vegan fast food, American-style. The desserts are great, but the mains are a bit too greasy to my liking. Place has a clear pro-animal ethical angle. Food is not cheap, but some of the profits go to an animal sanctuary.

We had the award winning tofish and chips and lobster roll with popcorn prawnz. I am not vegan, my girlfriend is. She told me about this place and the founder and I was tempted to go. The quality and taste of the food are beyond expectations. Perfect combination of flavours and really well-balanced. Staff is very nice and kind. If there were more places like this around the world, people would eat vegan more often.

On our short trip to London from Edinburgh we absolutely wanted to eat at Unity as it has options that we’ve never seen anywhere else. We got prawn tempura, the lobster roll, the famous tofish and chips, and ice cream & waffles. Everything was outstanding! The food was original and delicious, the staff friendly and polite (something we often don’t experience) and the restaurant very stylish. We’ll be back on future trips to London!

Food is absolutely delicious. Calamari is the show stealer. Chicken burger was one of the best burgers ever. Service was really good too but I felt like our waiter was rushed to clear our table. One missing star is because of cocktails, not the best I am afraid.

Undisputed champion for vegan fast food. Great options that have an amazing taste. Those cocktails are are so moorish. There is an old saying “style over substance”. Here the food has all the style that will keep your Instagram feed happy and substance that will keep you full for hours. . Cost wise it makes it towards the premium end. But I would say the value is in the food.

Delicious, inventive food that really impressed us and filled us up! A small restaurant, the place was healthily busy on a Sunday lunchtime. The staff were very friendly and the place was very clean and decorated. The food was fantastic - we had two burgers, both of which were delicious, and a waffle, which was great. It was reasonably-priced too. We'll definitely be visiting again to try some more dishes!

Visited this restaurant yesterday, it was an amazing experience. Not only the food is insane (absolutely loved the mozzarella sticks and the slice of cheesecake), staff is super friendly, everything was VERY clean. If you come here leave an exceptional tip! They’ll split it between the team and animal rights campaigning work (surge activism). I also enjoyed a glass of great white wine, knowing that I was supporting a charity that works worldwide to save the lives of wild & endangered animals. I left the restaurant full, happy and with one of their bags and t-shirt!

‘The future is vegan’. For a vegan that doesn’t live in a city or a place that really accepts change and an welcomed with warm arms as i come to this place. Beyond my imagination and creativity of vegan opportunities for food. New and exciting flavours for the newbie, non-vegan or expect. I just wanted to try everything. I had a spirulina and pistachio latte which is amazing if you like green things, a chickpea burger on a salad and American cheesecake. There is also gluten free options. My boyfriend who is an avid meat eat enjoyed the mountain burger and chunky chips. If your a looking for a crazy, unique and inspiring food and drink adventure, come here.

Good customer service, food was ok but nothing special. The red velvet latte should have its name changed to beetroot latte as that is how it tasted. The peach lemonade was nice though. I had the tofish stack it wasn't too bad I don't think I would order it again though. But atleast all the profit goes to an animal sanctuary so money well spent.

Super yummy and creative vegan fast-food! Loved everything here, particularly the fact that you don't have to worry about dairy and eggs cross-contaminating food! The only down sides are the fact that I was served by a very grumpy waiter that really wasn't helpful or friendly at all, and the fact that the music was incredibly loud and punchy for a chilled Sunday lunch. I really had a headache by the time I left the place, it was like being on a rave when you really just want to sit down and have a conversation over a nice meal.

Wanting to try this place for a while, and finally in London to give it a go. Service wasnt the best. Took 20 minutes to order, we order a couple of small plates and asked to have it as starters. However, they came with the main. The tofish and popcorn chicken was really tasty. Best fried chicken I've had from a vegan place to be honest. However, the main was a massive let down. Had the Philly steak....the filling was barely warm on the outside and nuclear in the middle. The taste wasn't great, but not bad. Just very salty crazy amount of pepper. I've had lots better from other vegan places and places that do vegan options. Which isn't what you expect from a vegan restaurant. We also had no idea that they didn't have an alcohol license until we arrived. It might have been on the website, but if wasn't clear. Meal cost £52 in total, for 2 starters and mains. Which is pricey for what it was, but I understand the profits go to a good cause. In all it wouldn't be my top place to visit again. (Also posted on trip advisor)

Every time I see a vegan restaurant, I get excited. It is like seeing a dog, sparks pure joy. Loved the environment and music inside. The menu is awesome. Plenty of delicious stuff to try out. All so yummy, I wonder when I would get a chance to try it all. I was so full after the mountain mover burger and dirty chips that all I could do was just have an espresso. I really wanted to try their amazing dessert selections but nope, I just ran out of space. But there is always a next time and I will keep going there every chance I get. Great job guys. Loved it.

Pleasant & speedy service. Starters were really great. Mains variable: 'chicken' burger amazing (best ever tasted), 'beef' (M/Mountains) burger ok, 'fish' burger pretty good. Pudding good. Environment great. However very expensive.

Absoltely terrible service and the food was a joke. Paying a load of money to eat grass is not what I had in mind. I'm off to the steakhouse next time

Amazing vegan food and I love the fact that it’s a not for profit business that has been set up to save the animals. Would also recommend trying the tofish and chips. It may seem a bit pricey, but so much thought has gone into creating the dish without any cruelty to animals or harm to the planet it’s definitely worth it!

Gluten free option was terrible. The hot dog bread was dry. My friend has normal food and also was extremely disappointing. It was pretty expensive for what it was also, completely felt like I wasted my money.

Big portion and nice costumer service. I took a hotdog ( it was ok, nothing incredible) asked for no spices but it was still spicy..didnt finish it. The music in there is sooo loud, its like a nightclub. The point of eating is to relax and take time to appreciate your food. Wont go back.

A very exciting and vibrant place with a great ethos and delicious food. The staff are hard working and friendly. Slightly on the expensive side, two burgers, sharing chips for two and one slice of cake, with no drinks came to £47

Food was good, enjoyed the Tofish and chips, calimari and the fried chicken but would avoid the cheesy chips. Cocktails were well made. Music was fairly loud and not quite to my liking personally. Will definitely be going again.

Brilliant experience in every way. Outrageously nice food. Lovely staff. Epic drinks. Aesthetics of the restaurant were exciting but also comfortable and relaxed simultaneously. Nor was anything overly expensive, and even if it were I’d be content knowing it’s all going towards a good cause. Best restaurant in London! (Pic of ‘new’ Biscoff cheesecake and vanilla ice cream(

I am so glad for having visited Unity Diner! I was aiming to try it for months, so it was amazing to finally go there. The menu is so pleasing that the hard part is to choose. I had the southern fried chikken drumsticks and the textures were INCREDIBLE! I don't think the flavour resembled chicken that much, but it was still delicious and the smell and texture were definitely alike. I had the tofish and chips for the main and it was MAGIC. I don't know how, I felt like I was eating fish (but better). The chips, the sauces, everything was wonderful! I wish I had tried the desserts, but the portions were really generous and I just couldn't so I finished with an espresso. The staff was so, so nice! It isn't the cheapest restaurant (although it wasn't expensive either for the average UK restaurant and the size of the portions), but the money is supporting a necessary cause, the food was perfect and it was an amazing experience so it was worth it! I can't wait to go back and bring some friends: it's incredible when you can be so happy eating without causing any harm to other beings <3

The only little thing is that is a bit pricy, but it also gives an amazing service. The waitress are lovely nd helpful 🙏🏼😊

Probably one of the best tofish and chips I've had. I keep ordering the same but it is perfection. The service can be a bit slow at times and it's not the cheapest place but the quality of the cocktails and the good is amazing.

This place is awesome. I'm a meat eater and I was happy to go here with vege and vegan friends. I would happily return. Great food, tasty cocktails, great service and not for profit! I also had red velvet latte. The stuff of legend.

Good vegan restaurant. Their vegan stuff was really close to real one they were trying to mimick. Loved their mozzarella sticks. Tried lobster rolls and fried seafood burger. Textures were quite close, they were flavoured well with spices and garnishes. Only downside was they used too much coconut oil. If you are not used to coconut oil in daily cooking, you may find it too much. Half way through the lobster roll, I felt super full and a bit sick due to distinct coconut oil smell. I may come back here to try vegan meat dishes.

  • 5/5 Joie L. 2 years ago on Google
Summary: 5* service, 4* food 1. Chikken wings - nice crispy coating but flavourwise too sweet/cinnamony for our liking. 2. Prawn tempura - flavour and texture like crab sticks, were quite nice as a light starter but definitely needed the side salad to offset the rich flavour. 3. Tofish and chips - really enjoyed this with the tartare sauce (close your eyes and you can imagine eating this on the beach). It was more meaty (texture wise) and fishy tasting (flavour wise) than flakey real fish; a good guilt free substitute. Chunky chips were 😍 4. Cheesecake - highlight of the meal, SO good 😍

  • 5/5 Shin Yeu C. 2 years ago on Google
Their “fish” burger is amazing. Perfect in crust, texture, flakiness, taste. Really good vibe. Servers are super friendly as well.

So good I don't even know where to begin. From the amazing staff, place, drinks, food (ate the best Fish & Chips during my whole trip - and I have been to Tenby in a restaurant by the sea!). The restaurant is also environment and non-profit, donating their profits. I had that good of an experience that it INSPIRED me. Just wow. Please go there.

We loved the ethos of this place, non profit, & all monies going straight back to saving animals. The food itself was ...amazing! I had the 'fish' & chips, ( I'd heard good things & it did not disappoint!) & my partner had the 'gammon' burger. We also had vegan cocktails, a Seaspiracy & an Old Fashioned. So so good! Glad we got to finally visit, & will definitely be back next time we're in London. 10/10.

The food was awesome, the service friendly -1 star: we ordered 2 mains and 2 starters… received 1 starter and after 45 minutes the rest, because I asked. I was told, it was not forgotten 😤… no excuse for the long delay. The food tasted very good, but this incident destroyed the experience.

  • 5/5 Baha K. 1 year ago on Google
Really good food, especially the fish & chips they have! It tasted just like real fish, from the very vague memory I have of tasting fish at least. But even the non-vegan people I was with said the same, so it must be so. Anyhow, highly recommendable place! Very friendly personnel as well.

  • 5/5 Seín J. 1 year ago on Google
This was my first time trying any fish and chips and this rendition was amazing. I had the ice cream waffles for dessert and they were scrumptious. The calamari appetizer is good as well, just a bit chewy. Excellent table service.

  • 5/5 Emma F. 1 year ago on Google
My second visit and one to remember as Ed Winters was there! The service was spot on, we weren't left alone for too long but we weren't bothered too much, which made for perfect catching up time. The loaded fries were delicious and very filling. Couldn't resist getting a dessert and was not disappointed. Easy to split the bill via the app. Would definitely return again and again

Stunning! Went with my friend who hates the real fish & chips and it was so remarkably similar she couldn’t eat it! :-p Great dish, wish I had some option like this in Italy as well! Very polite staff, very clean place, bathrooms included. Also tried the prawns tempura and the calamari, tasty and good for those who are trying to reduce real fish consumption.

Incredible food! Everything we ordered was super tasty and hard to even tell it’s vegan. The waitstaff were exceptionally friendly and I can’t fault the place. Easily the best vegan restaurant that does fast food type meals we have come across in London!

Busy café-style restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Good range of good quality vegan food and drinks. Good choice of mocktails and cocktails and vegan wines. Part of profits are donated to animal sanctuary and similar causes. Been a few times on my own and in groups and had great experience every time. Happy to recommend.

Visited here for lunch during a work day with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. This was my first time eating at a vegan restaurant and certainly won't be my last at Unity Diner! The food was delicious, the service was friendly (and not overwhelming), and overall a great experience. I would recommend Unity Diner especially for the variety of vegan food dishes and the taste!

Unity Dinner: A Must-Visit for Ed Earthling Fans, with a Delicious Twist As a fan of Earthling Ed, visiting Unity Dinner was a priority during our trip to London. The restaurant exudes a cool and hip vibe, boasting a spacious and inviting interior. The staff is friendly and competent, and the cleanliness of the toilets is commendable. The food at Unity Dinner left us in awe. With flavors that surpassed our expectations, each dish was incredibly tasty and satisfying. However, there is one caveat to be aware of—this is not health-conscious fare. The dishes tend to be high in fat and salt, with a limited emphasis on whole plants. While vegan food doesn't necessarily equate to whole food, we anticipated that vegetables would take center stage in vegan cuisine, which is not entirely the case here. As a result, while our primal instincts reveled in every aspect of the meal, our rational minds felt slightly less satisfied afterward. Despite this consideration, Unity Dinner remains a must-visit for any Ed Earthling enthusiast, offering a unique and indulgent dining experience that will leave your taste buds dancing.

Nice random find on our trip to London. The Tofish had such a great "fish" flavor I had to remember I was in a vegan restaurant. I haven't had a mozzarella stick with cheese like that in over a decade.

  • 5/5 William R. 9 months ago on Google
Staff was very friendly, food was really good and there were a lot of choices to choose from. This place is an obvious choice for vegans and vegetarians in London. While I only tried a non-alcoholic drink (which was delicious), they also have a bar that serves drinks with alcohol.

Really cute place near Aldgate East station, serving a wonderful selection of vegan dishes - as close as the real thing that you'll get! Great choice between small plates to share or larger plates if you're feeling hungry as well as special dishes that are just as fantastic - the calamari rings are a must have! Really attentive staff and service, and a great range of cocktails and mocktails that have amazing names!

  • 4/5 Tiarnán B. 1 year ago on Google
Loved this restaurant which had a really good selection of food. I would definitely say the dishes were that of a diner but done to a very high standard. The stand out dish had to be the 'Tofish bites'. I wouldn't describe myself as someone who enjoys the flavour of fish but this was outstanding, definitely worth trying. The 'pork steaks and greens' were delicious and the portion was very generous, definitely didn't need chips! The 'Redefine Meat steak' was delicious but I felt it tasted more like lamb in both flavour and texture. Definitely very impressive but be aware it may be hit or miss depending on your taste. I absolutely loved the cocktails and the names were hilarious, Piers Morgans tears really were delectable💧 With regard to the seating I felt the tables were cramped and the service was quite slow. I don't blame the staff as they were friendly and helpful but there just simply wasn't enough of them. Overall this has been one of the best vegan diners I have tried in London and definitely best in its class.

  • 5/5 Elliot K. 10 months ago on Google
All food items on main menu are vegan (not really sure what isn't vegan but I think it's safe to assume EVERYTHING IS VEGAN) Had to sit outside in the cold wind because everything inside was reserved til very late--make sure to make a reservation. Redefine meat is awesome (I'm not vegan). Less of a steak, more like a corned beef. Be warned the waitress says it takes 30-45min to cook. Tofish and chips are also great too. Tastes very fishy like real fish and chips

  • 5/5 Katie K. 9 months ago on Google
If you are a vegan on your first trip to the UK, you have to try fish and chips here!!! The texture of the “fish” is phenomenal, the amount of chips good for 2:) there some cool refreshing drinks on the menu. The music is groovy and staff is nice. I loved the vibe and food.

Love to try different things but am not vegan, the fish and chips was art - looked good and tasted good. The lobster mac and cheese was very interesting, I never get to eat mac n cheese as am lacto intolerant...it was a large portion, tasted ok and looked pretty, but an odd after taste that didn't really suit. Service was friendly def worth a visit if vegan/vege...Nice and playful
