In short: Captain Christian is the best. Period. If you are in the area or on vacation elsewhere in Califonia, this is definitely an experience you want to live. My girlfriend and I spent 4 hours with Cap Christian on his beautiful sailboat and these memories will remain forever etched in our memories: Christian is simply extraordinary and his hospitality and kindness are unique. If you want to enjoy a wonderful time on the ocean and have the opportunity to see whales, do it with Christian and Bella On The Bay, not with other big boats filled with tourists… it's better for you and it's better for whales!

Captain Christian is simply awesome! What an amazing, happy, and energetic person who loves what he does, and provides a fantastic experience. This was by far the best thing we scheduled in the Carmel/Monterey area on our trip last week. We highly recommend Christian whether its just two of you (like we did) or a group. Had the BEST time with Captain Christian on his beautiful boat! We went for my 22nd birthday and from start to finish, Captain was so incredibly kind and fun— we weren’t sure what exactly to expect because we knew the Captain would make or break a private sail, but Captain’s vibrant and happy energy from the moment we exchanged words with him made us feel so relaxed and comfortable! The sail itself was so smooth and beautiful and we all had only good things to say when we got off the boat. Even my parents who didn’t sail with us loved him!! If I were to do this again, I wouldn’t hesitate to reach out to Captain Christian. Thank you for an amazing 2 hours!

Christian is an excellent tour guide and sailboat Captain. We booked a 2-hour tour about a month in advance of our vacation, and on the day we asked if we could extend it to see whales. Fortunately there was nothing chartered after us, so Christian excitedly agreed (we obviously paid an additional amount for this). Christian couldn't guarantee we would spot a whale, but sure enough, we did! He circled the area for about 30 minutes, and we watched the whale spout multiple times. He made our vacation truly memorable, and far more personalized than we could ever get on a commercial whale-watching boat. I didn't take very many pictures because I wanted to be in the moment, and besides, the whale was only present for a few seconds, and you didn't know exactly where it was going to be. If you can take this tour, we absolutely recommend it. This was such an incredible sailboat tour!!!

Best trip ever ! Played with 3 whales for 45 minutes- 3’ from the boat. Captain Christian is the best ! You want personality- he is your guy. Ours was a trip of a lifetime!

Captian Christian is the best there is. His sailboat is beautiful, If you are in Monterey you have to check him out. He made me and my wife's day beyond anything else we have done while on vacation. We had a fantastic day with Capt. Christian. His boat was immaculate and he is a fantastic host. Would highly recommend taking a trip on Bella on the Bay.

I wanted to scatter my parents' ashes at sea in the Monterey area that they both loved, so I went online & found Bella on the Bay & Captain Christian. He was a wonderful combination of expertise, intuitiveness & sensitivity to this mission. My friend who accompanied me and I were also very impressed with his extensive knowledge of the ocean and its wildlife. I can not speak highly enough of our experience with Captain Christian and his first mate. We had previously booked with another company and they canceled the night before our trip, luckily Captain Christian had some availability and we ended up having the MOST amazing time. He was so sweet and knowledgeable. We had our three kids with us, including two little babies, and he made us feel safe while letting our older son explore around and have some more freedom. He went out of his way to make sure we saw some wildlife and we got within feet of several dolphins and a HUGE sun fish. This will be a treasured memory for our family and a must stop for future trips. Thank you so much for such an amazing trip!

We had a great turn with Captain Christian! We took the four hour wildlife trip, and we got to see otters, sea lions and humpback whales! Christian is a very nice and welcoming host as well as an experienced skipper. Even when the wind got stronger and the waves higher, we always feld save with him. Highly recommended! If you have the chance to take a tour with Captain Christian: do it!

We had an amazing time! We saw a ton of wildlife, sailed along with a pod of dolphins, so peaceful! Christian is a great Captain and was wonderful at making sure we had a great time on the water. Book with Bella on the Bay in Monterey for a great day on the water. You’ll be glad you did!
