My grandfather was seen by Dr. Keegstra for his COPD. She was dismissive and just outright cruel and rude. I'm not sure what a sweet elderly man did to upset her so much but he came away from the visit genuinely frightened to bring his issues up with future doctors (because we'd obviously never let him come back here). Dr. Keegstra has had a lasting negative effect on his health. It's an absolute shame that she is still allowed to practice medicine. We will be making a report to the medical board to try and ensure that this does not happen to anyone else.

Very very poor customer service when it comes to answering phones. I have been hung up on repeatedly when I have called whether it was the switch board or nurses station. The people on the switch board are very rude! Today it took 7 times to get thru until I finally had to be forceful and tell them not to put me on hold. Very frustrating when your trying to get info and you get rudeness in return!

I was in terrible pain, but Dr. DeLaTorre and the nurses at the Colusa Medical Center ER were kind, compassionate and reassuring. I was given an injection and a prescription for my infection, and I was back home and feeling better quickly. I am so happy that we have great doctors and expedient care at our hospital.

My dad was seen by Dr Taylor and taken great care of. He only waited 15 minutes to see the Dr, and his entire work up was less than 3 hours. He was discharged with medicine he needed and was on the road to recovery thanks to Dr Taylor. I used to work in an ER at a larger hospital in the next town and their wait time is often 4-6 hours to even see the Dr. Thank you Colusa Medical Center ER!

I went in with a major head injury from a fall. The doctor and nurse in the ER did nothing, they looked at the cut on my forehead, put some glue on it, and ignored my concerns that it was worse than a simple cut. They didn't even inform me to follow up with my Doctor or if I could take something like aspirin. Followed up with my doctor anyway, she did X-rays. Turns out I have a broken nose, shattered eye socket, an a massive brain injury. All could have been addressed during my initial visit to the ER. Please, for your own safety, do not go to this hospital. It was the biggest mistake I have made.

Every experience I've had here has been horrible my four year old breaks out in something we take him here for help they say wait to go see his doctor tomorrow and makes us wait for a long period of time before giving us a packet and leaving. Another time, I came for blood work instead of helping me the receptionist were laughing and talking about Amazon and they knew I was waiting to speak to somebody I stood there for about 10 minutes.

I had to visit the ER Yesterday and I was truly impressed with the efficiency. I was roomed quickly met my doc quickly and was in line for a ct scan quickly. All the nurses were great and so was my doctor. This was not the experience we all anticipate when going to the ER. Hope I don’t have to go back but if I do I know I’ll be cared for. Thank you RN Linda and Dr beurely for taking good care of me.

I had a very short wait to Dr Brown, she was professional, efficient and thorough. She diagnosed me with Bells Palsy after a CT scan, which was such a relief when she explained it was not a stroke. I’m glad Colusa has a hospital with great Dr’s again. The professionalism and empathy displayed by each and every person I encountered during my visit has greatly improved since my last visit more than two years ago. Keep up the good work!

I was hospitalized in Chico, CA and recieved IV antibiotic treatments for a complicated ESBL urinary track infection. I finished my treatments at Colusa Medical Center Swing Bed Transitional Care. Let me tell you that Emily (Intake Coordinator) rescued me from Gridley Post Acute. That place was a dump. Emily helped get transportation to Colusa Medical Center, a much cleaner and more professional care facility to complete my series of treatments (16 total days of treatments. The nurses were wonderful.. I'm grateful for Colusa Medical Center. Sincerely, Kent Molen

During the pandemic a dear friend was in your facility. Your staff were kind and patient with us. It was hard on him to have to be there. And hard on me to not be able to come in and sit with him. You guys did well accommodating our needs within your restrictions. Thank you. It's hard to believe 2 years have passed. From your facility my friend was sent to Sacramento for a little over a week. I was able to take him home with hospice care. He was at home surrounded by those who loved him for a week and four hours and passed peacefully. Thank you again. You were appreciated greatly!

I took My husband in yesterday 9/29/23 in the morning and im just sickened by the receptionist. She has an awful attitude and doesn’t treat patients with respect. A 15 year old came in with ear pain and didnt speak English. She told him to sit and he waited for a good 20 minutes while she was just sitting there. As soon as his dad stepped in she called him. He mentioned he didnt speak English and she still spoke to him in English. He had to repeat himself and on top complained that she had to interpret. When the nursed asked his weight and height he said he didnt know and the receptionist interpreted with an attitude like she couldnt believe it. Kid mentioned he uses a lot of cotton swabs and he thinks thats why it hurts, the receptionist literally laughed in his face. Unbelievable. Please replace her.
