Beautiful view of the water and Carquinez Bridge. The food was good but on the pricy side. One party enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich but had to order fries for $10 more a bit exorbitant. The steam clams was tasty and the crab sweet and delicious but again the prices were steep and not for everyday dining.

We ordered the double crab and double mussels. This was definitely a decision based on the people who were next us. They're crab was super huge and we sat by waiting for the same. The last, when our crab came it was half the size of theirs. What a let down. Other platters we watched walked by had similar size crabs. I would just say if the table is not ordering and all you can eat a little detention should be given to the size crab that you send out. They did make an adjustment on the mussels for us as the ones that arrived on the platter were super dried out. Can't complain about the wait staff they were great. How's the staff was just as good finding us a place outside. I love this place I was disappointed a little bit of what I ordered so I'll just make a different decision next time. Well worth coming and enjoying the view. Even the crab mishap did not dampen the overall experience.

My wife, daughter mother and father-in-law and sister and brother in law all came for a birthday lunch. The appetizers we got, crab cakes and calamari were absolutely amazing. I got the full crab and a cup of clam chowder which were incredible, well seasoned served hot and tasted incredibly fresh. My wife and sister in law got the crab and shrimp Louie, my sister in laws was in sadly short of crab compared to my wife's. They both said it was very tasty. My mother in law got the crab sandwich. Avoid this item. It was the saddest sandwich I've ever seen. There was hardly any crab on it, avocado on half and onions which she requested not to have all over it. It was the one bad part of the experience. Other than that the service was amazing the views beautiful and the manager was nice enough to comp the sandwich. They also saw we were celebrating 4 birthdays the whole family was born in March so when they saw us exchanging presents they brought us cake. We will be back but not for the crab sandwich. Everything else was top notch!

I can’t believe I failed to check-in. Anyways, The Dead Fish is one for the books. I loved everything about it! The location, the vibe, and most especially the food! First of all, it is a stand alone restaurant, it has a private parking lot with plenty of disabled parking spaces (love that)! Second, it’s almost as if it is in the middle of nowhere but it’s not. This restaurant has beautiful views wherever they seat you and the service is excellent. Then we started with an appetizer, we had the Crab Crostini. This is an excellent starter, it’s like a teaser, it gives you a sample of what’s to come. The crab tasted so fresh and to top it off with those baby tomatoes and olives were a good match. Since I’m a shrimp lover, I ordered the shrimp and mussels(medium size), FYI, it does not come with anything else. But there was plenty. I ordered a side of garlic bread and OMG, I’m glad I did. It went well with what I ordered and it was garlicky and buttery good! My friend ordered from the recently demised fish section and she got the Salmon with spicy ciopino sauce. Yes, I tasted it, the salmon was cooked perfectly. It was tender and not dry at all. The sauce was the “icing on the cake.” They didn’t have a huge selection on desserts but they have something for everyone. We ordered Chocolate Moose Bomb and Salted Caramel Vanilla Crunch Cake. We ate it all! Note: it is a bit pricey so be prepared, but totally worth the experience. The view and the decor gives the place a classy vibe. I recommend this place 100 percent. Until next time.

We had a wonderful lunch on their patio today, Service was excellent and she helped us to make selections for 6 adults to share as we wanted to try the seafood platters. We had the grilled shrimp, mussels, steamed clams, seafood stew and calamari appetizer. A couple people had a cup of the clam chowder which was generously sized. I also had the salted caramel vanilla crunch cake which was very good.

Very wonderful place. Don’t be afraid to sit outside you get a fantastic view and their heaters will keep you warm. Started off with a Big Tuna Blood Orange Margarita, was very good wish it had salt rim but the blood orange was a good edition. I got their Nonna’s world Famous killer crab. The star here was the garlic butter so good no wonder why since they are owned by the Stinkin Rose in SF. Must go but get reservations.

After living in Vallejo for the past 3 years today was our first experience at the dead fish & WOW! Super cool restaurant & really good food. The salmon with the paprika sauce was absolutely delicious!!! The veggies were perfection and full of flavor. My husband had fettuccine Alfredo with crab and it was yummy!! Can’t wait to visit again!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It was just ok. Pricey for the amount and quality of food. Friendly staff. Restaurant inside is quirky and fun with pretty views of bridges and water. Nicely lit inside and out. 16oz prime rib looked more like a thick 8oz. But it was good.

Food-OMG! We had the sizzling platter with shrimp/crab/mussels, Ciopino and prime rib, everything was delicious! Beautiful views, sit outside if you can. Bar area has tons of knick knacks for decor, but not a speck of dust!

You can't go wrong at the Dead Fish. I have eaten here before, and im never disappointed. When I have a craving and I don't want to drive all the way to Oakland or SF, this is my favorite place to go. Fresh bread, great clam chowder, Crab enchiladas👌 order 2 so you can have leftovers. We didn't need a reservation. Inside outside dining. Great view all around. Don't miss this spot. It will become your favorite also.

Finally got the chance to visit this place sitting on a cliff overlooking the bridge. We had crab/salmon crostini. Garlic sautéed shrimp. Crab Alfredo and crab enchiladas. It was all good. The view was amazing. We sat outside at sunset to see the sunlight change on the bridge and their set up blocks the cold wind. We will def go back to try the WHOLE CRAB. We risked a walk in on Father’s Day and we had a very short 5 min wait. We saw a few other walk ins. I would have been fine with a 20-30 min. Wait on a busy weekend.

Great pasta, steaks and seafood. Great ambience and service... Finding parking during peak times is like a treasure hunt... So... Good luck but it's worth it. Also recommend making reservations in advance.

Awesome experience even if you don't like seafood. The steaks are great beautiful views. Not to expensive. Perfect.

Expansive views of the Carquinez Bridge and Straight. Wonderful seating on their patio. Is usually an extremely busy place with consistently good sea food. The menu is a bit pricey and it's often quite loud inside. Good seating at the bar.

It was my first visit, but won't be my last. Server was very nice and made recommendations. I had the crab angel hair lasagna and my friend had the Cioppino. We split a wedge salad. The salad wasn't a wedge of iceberg lettuce, it was a small head of romaine. It was a large portion, so there was plenty for both of us. The crab angel hair lasagna was tasty. It is very rich, made with real crab, cream and a lot of swiss cheese. see photo below. The Cioppino was excellent. great tomato base, clams, muscles, crab, fish and calamari. A few black olives were thrown in too, which were a tasty surprise. Next time we'll sit outside and enjoy the view.

The food and drinks were delicious. The Cioppino and Shrimp Alfredo were flavorful. Parking is a bit tricky to find and making a reservation is recommended. Definitely want to visit again to try the other things on their amusing menu.

It was a perfectly pleasant experience with kind and helpful wait staff and decent food. We ordered the bruschetta, calamari, crabwich, and shrimp garlic noodles. Everything was good and filled us up but it felt pretty standard. Lots of garlic and lots of salt made it satisfying and tasty, it just wasn’t a culinary marvel. Overall I do recommend it here. The service was awesome and we got a seat by the bar with a great view of the bridge. They even had binoculars next to our table to watch the boats and wildlife! It was a cute touch, even if the meal wasn’t memorable. Seems like it’s a good place to go with family.

Tasty and friendly fish restaurant with view of Carquinez bridge. Very good service by knowledgeable server, we ordered everything he recommended and he was absolutely spot on. Don’t miss the crab lasagna! We also enjoyed the sea bass and fried squid starter. Dessert was okay especially when we added dollop of ice cream. Service very good — not only was server great ((Josh?) greeter made a special effort to show us all the tables available so we could choose the one we liked best.

Beautiful patio seating on the bay. Our server was pleasant and helpful. Yummy cocktails - bloody mary and vodka mojito. Amazing bread! We ordered crab cakes and clam chowder. Such a relaxing, fantastic way to spend Sunday brunch!

Make sure you give yourself extra time to find parking and to wait in line to check in even if you have reservations. Unfortunately we did have to wait an additional 30 minutes until our table was ready. Besides that our service was quick and the food came out hot and ready. We ordered the combo of mussels, shrimp and crab which was incredible. We also had Calamari which the large order was a much larger portion than expected. The SeaBass was a great choice with couscous pasta and you can't ever go wrong with the fish and chips.
