👍👍 Ordered the Giant... With every intention of eating half. I couldn't stop myself from eating the whole thing! Garlic mayo... Spicy mustard...tangy peppers.... Lots of meat and avocado all on Dutch crunch. The staff was nice, friendly, and quick. Perfect for grabbing a little picnic on your way home... No-frills sandwich shop with fast and friendly service and fair prices. I had a “Beat LA” (oh yeah Beat LA!) in a sourdough roll, which has turkey, roast beef and cheddar cheese (plus all the common ingredients). The sandwich has a good portion, I wouldn’t call it huge but it was tightly stuffed with lots of meat and veggies, and I definitely felt its weight in my hand. There isn’t a lot of sauce though, so taste wise it’s a bit dry and on the bland side. I even felt like the sourdough was the most tasty part.

Ordered the Giants sandwich, basically a Turkey BLTA on sourdough roll. Pros: - It was a decent size, good for two not very hungry people or one hungry person. - price is good considering many places in the area cost $15+ for something similar - generous with the avocado, it kept falling out while I was trying to eat it - bacon was the best part of this sandwich, adding both crunch and flavor. I’ll stick to my usual Italian sandwiches next time - I ordered at 11am on a Saturday and it was quick, ready in 6mins Cons: -This was my first time ordering from here (I did it on DoorDash and picked up), and it said on the website that all sandwiches include pickles and pepperoncini, but there were literally TWO slices of pickle and maybe six pepperoncini rings for my pretty large sandwich (see photo), pretty sad. Good learning, if you actually want to taste them pickles or pepperoncini request extra - The bread was fine but a little chewy, not super tangy sourdough. I’ll try the Dutch crunch next time Overall: pretty standard sandwich, good value for the area

Their Italian subs are the best around (hot or cold) with a great selection of breads. The grilled chicken is a little bland though. Usually at least a 10 minute wait so call ahead. Limited counter seating, too so more of a take-out spot.

35min wait without warning. Slow working employees and friend of them behind the counter to hang out. Ruthless behaviour. Either owner is not aware of whats happening in his shop or he has no clue how to run a business. Probably both. I’d recommend incentive-based payment

I really like their sandwiches however when we ordered this time I asked for no onions and not toasted. They did not follow instructions and my sandwich had onions and was crunchy making it really hard to eat. Really disappointing

Decent sandwich and reasonably priced. I got the giant and it was good.

came here for a late lunch after going for a run with my bf. We ordered the Goodfellas to share since we knew we'd be having dinner a few hours later and didn't want to overeat. You order at the touch screen kiosk and just wait for your name to be called. Prior to ordering, the staff told us that at the time it was about a 20-30 minute wait, we weren't particularly in a rush so we just walked around while we waited for our sandwich. I would say 15-20 minutes in I received a text that they were extremely busy and the order would be pushed back another 20 minutes.... should've known after seeing so many people waiting and cars double parking to wait for their food as well. Service was fine but I was a little annoyed that no one called my name and we had to check on the sandwich which was just sitting on the counter waiting to be picked up.

Really good hoagie on some nice bread. Loved the Goodfellas on either a Sourdough roll or Dutch Crunch.

Really tasty classic subs. Takes 15 minutes to make after you order, so have a wander around the area (maybe visit Beanery cafe nearby and grab a drink to go) while you wait.

The sandwich itself was good, wasn't really warm or toasty when we finally got it though. The vegetables and bread are super fresh and it's a hefty sandwich so it's definitely sharable. A solid sandwich spot but would definitely recommend alloting yourself a little more time as they seem to be pretty busy.

I only recently heard of Irving Subs through word-of-mouth and I've been coming back and grabbing the custom tuna sandwhich. Their garlicky mayo sauce is fire! My go-to sandwich is the custom tuna with garlicky mayo and dijon mustard. Fire combo - you can't go wrong with it. It comes in neatly packed and the visuals and taste are on point. It does get pretty busy during peak dinner hours on weekends. Expect to wait a bit longer than usual but IMO well worth it. There's a wooden seating area right outside for those waiting for their orders as well.

We ordered several sandwiches from here for a little get-together and were generally satisfied with everything. The sandwiches aren't particularly unique or inventive like Ike's or Lou's but they are well made with quality ingredients. This is not a place am dying to try again but wouldn't be mad about it if did.

Used to love the sandwiches but decided I won't go anymore after getting food poisoning of my last sandwich there (May 12 2022)

Easy to order and pick up. Quick and easy lunch. Good ingredients, huge portions. Definitely a busy lunch spot but the line goes fast.

Great place to pick up sandwiches and then go eat them in Golden Gate Park. They are all freshly made so you may have to wait a bit for your order. I suggest ordering ahead of time on their website and picking up a half hour later.

Everything about my sandwich was great. Maybe a bit more avocado when paying $2 extra? But it was delicious. Crunchy bread, not too much mayo, thick pickles, even the tomato was ripe.
