There is no 4.5 options. It was almost perfect, expecting knowing that they had limited outdoor dining I reserved a table for outdoors and when we arrived there wasn't a table ready for us outdoors, but after a short wait we did get to sit outside. Our server plus the other servers and workers were very nice and professional. Only issue was that our server refilled our wine glasses after I had put in the cork to signal we were done, but we ended up enjoying the last little bit of wine she gave us while taking in the outdoor seating area. And of course the food was amazing.

I picked up a take out order this evening and not a word was spoken to me from the waiter. I said hello, I'm here for my take out order please, and gave my name. On the receipt, was his initial; just the letter "H".He went to the kitchen, grabbed my food, and just dropped off the food on the counter and pointed to the bill on top; not one word spoken. Even if the food is good, I won't be returning to Pranzi. Terrible service!

Had a dinner here with colleagues. Ordered the fried calamari and the antipasto plate for appetizers and then an entree each. I got the veal and it was really tender and delicious, loved the flavor! It came with many roasted veggies and potatoes, making it a somewhat healthy option. The pastas looked amazing although i didnt try them. We share some desserts and really liked the tiramisu cup! Very nice and classy decor, polite service, and very friendly owners that took the time to talk to us about their restaurant, on request.

We had a nice al fresco lunch here. We enjoyed the shrimp in sauteed veggies and onions. However the chicken parm breading was mushy and noodles on the softer side in a generic red sauce. At $20, we didnt expect the truffle gnocchi to come with shaved truffle but it still didnt have much of the earthy fungus flavor. The staff were all pleasant.

We have been visiting San Carlos quite a bit lately. This has become our go to place for lunch and dinner. The only semi- disappointing meal we have had is the Waygu burger. The meat is so lean that it needs more fat introduced to keep it from drying out. The service has always been excellent! The chocolate mousse is something to leave room for and the artichoke hearts are something to start every meal with. My son always orders the French toast. The tri tip sandwich is my favorite.

Everything was good. They don't serve cocktails and offered some wine cocktails. That was not bad but I think we don't order it one more time!

Lasagna is excellent. Service very friendly. We ordered the seafood pasta which smelled and tasted off to us and so we requested a swap out to the bolognese instead. Our waitress did so with no qualms or hesitation! Bolognese was excellent as well. Tiramisu came with a candle as I’ve indicated on the reservation this was for a birthday meal and I appreciated the extra effort! The dessert was also complimentary for us I’m assuming for the seafood pasta disappointment on our part. Tiramisu was very creamy and delicious. Great portions. Interior decor is very tasteful. This is a good spot for a date night!

Definitely in love with the interior design of the restaurant. Love the lightings and wooden decorations and the overall ambience. Food looks great and tastes good but not amazing or memorable. The fried artichokes are special though.

We went during dinner time. The place looked beautiful. We had the Burrata Bruschetta, Bietole Salad, Insalata di Pere Salad, Tagliatelle pasta, Arancini and two glasses of their wine Barbera and Sangiovese. Overall everything was good except we had to send back the Arancini as it didn't taste good.

Love this little spot and happy to have discovered it. Staff was the sweetest and most thoughtful. The pasta was perfect. I recommend the bourbon cream one. More affordable and yummier than the other Italian spot close by.

There are just soooo many good restaurants on the Peninsula. Searching for an Italian was not hard though. There are many but this place makes their pasta fresh! Found this last minute and making reservations was not hard. It was pretty packed, but tables are properly spaced out and there’s a nice outdoor seating area with heat lamps. My party and I shared a Caesar salad, shrimp apps, and then we each had an entrée. I had the squid ink pasta which was delish. I was definitely eyeing my bff’s salmon though. Talk about good portions! We brought our own wine and I believe corkage was $25. Our waitress was awesome, although I forgot her name. ☹ Only thing I’d say is parking can be hard to find. Allow yourself some time so you can park and walk over.

Enjoyed a very lovely lunch and excellent service. Seafood linguine was a bit more spicy than expected but everything was cooked perfectly. Even the chicken sandwich was moist and flavorful. They have a nicely decorated covered parklet out front with 8 tables.

Some food is great and very flavorful like the shishito peppers and the burrata. Other dishes are completely flavorless like the special risotto (even salt and pepper barely helped). Also service here is lacking, it took so long to get our food and others had their food out in a timely manor. Also they initially set the wrong dishes in front of us (meant for another table). I realize it's a Saturday night but I was hoping for a lot better given the price.

Excellent food and service. They offer specials each day. They have an extensive by the bottle wine list and a descent by the glass list. There is a full bar and a nice selection of house speciality drinks. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. Indoor seating has a nice ambiance.

Excellent service! The food came out REALLY HOT. Almost too hot lol. Dishes were tasty overall. My risotto was a tad on the dry side. We will be back.

We had a large group celebrating my birthday (8 people), so I'm not sure if this was a large group issue or if it happens with smaller groups, but our food was luke warm. They took care of it right away but it took longer for us to eat. Our server was really nice and the atmosphere was lovely 😍

Food was below average in general, but atmosphere was good. We order calamari for appetizer, and it tasted like rubber… doesn’t seem that way in other posts. My veal tasted quite plain as well.

Wonderful service and sweet outdoor atmosphere. Everything from our cocktails to our salads to our wonderful pasta specials were exemplary. I wish I had gone here before the pandemic, but thankful I found this gem! We’ll be back.

We got takeout from Pranzi for our Christmas Eve dinner and it was absolutely AMAZING!! Everything was perfectly prepared and the presentation was beautiful. When I went to pick up our order, it was ready on time and the staff was so welcoming and helpful. We can't wait to be able to dine in house again and until then, we will DEFINITELY order take out from Pranzi again and will highly recommend this restaurant to our friends and family!! Ordered their Risotto special and the chef did not season with salt.

We went back to Pranzi after COVID19 closures and the food was not as good. Perhaps the menu items are hit-and-miss, perhaps the kitchen personnel is not the same. Who knows? Previous reviews: First time we tried Pranzi: Great service, great food. Would definitely go back.

Updated review: Added a star. I forgot about this place and with two other Italian places on the street closing I ended up returning. We ate outside in the cold under the heaters and it was really nice. As soon as we walked in the door the host turned around and left us to stand there for a while. They claimed the pasta was made in house but it didn't seem fresh to me. Still the food was good good and we enjoyed ourselves. Original review: I found the meal to be substandard for the area and cost. Pasta was all pre made, nothing on the menu excited me before or after having eaten. The wine list was pretty good and everyone enjoyed their drinks and desserts so these were probably the highlights of the experience.
