This is a sneaky good pick for BBQ since it is nestled near 101 exit Southbound just after the 85 south exit. Been here twice before for pickup and the food has been excellent. Staff is friendly and they have a good selection local beer options either on tap or in a can. Private room option too. They tend to run a bunch of specials, and this time was the gaucho: brisket sando with chimichurri and provolone.

Only item that was edible was the coleslaw. Even the so-called cornbread looked and tasted nothing like cornbread. The chicken was dry and tasteless and they didn’t even ask if I wanted a breast or leg. I always prefer legs but got a breast. I am used to authentic BBQ in Texas and Arizona, this is far from real BBQ.

I had surprised birthday lunch today. I was so amazed with their meat selections how they cook and seasoned. I’ve been to Midwest many times had serious barbecue joint, but these are almost as good as theirs. I still cannot believe that I can I have this kind of barbecue joint exist in Mountain View California. Barbecue sauce has a great depths of flavors with smokiness, spicyness to perfection. And you cannot ignore their side dish was freshly made and I had awesome taste, Including their bread. Love this place. Whoever is the meat lover, should try this place definitely!!!

Been here a few times since they opened. Favorite is the pulled pork. I usually get the sandwich which makes for a tasty light lunch. Tried the pulled pork and hot link plate this time. The link was a little spicy for me, so I'll try something else next time. Meals come with a hot BBQ sauce and a sweet BBQ sauce. Both are good, so I alternate bites with them. Highly recommended.

Their brisket was just amazing! The bark and smoke rings were perfect. I loved their baked beans, a really rich flavor that goes perfectly with their corn bread. I cannot wait to go back there again.

I came here for a late lunch and ordered the Santa Maria salad. The restaurant is clean and looked remodeled. The two ladies that worked there were friendly and so helpful, a major plus in anyone's book. The tri tip, unfortunately, was not hot nor juicy. The meat was slightly on the cooler side, dry and not juicy. I wanted to give it 4 stars, mainly because of the staff, but for the price I expected better, and more, of the tri tip. I will come back and give it another go and, hopefully, have a better experience so I can change my rating.

Holy Cow! Holy Pig! Not sure how good BBQ found it's way out here. The pull pork was some of the best, lot of juice and tender. Brisket could have been more tender but great smokey taste. All the sides were great. Corn bread was on point.

Food was pretty good! I liked the brisket a lot especially the fattier parts, and they have spicy and normal BBQ sauce. The tri tip was quite good too but i prefer the brisket. Both potato salad and coleslaw were good, and the piece of bread they give you as a side in the combos can be cornbread or garlic bread, not just normal bread! We got cornbread and it was really good. Would definitely come back! Skip the pecan pie tho, that part was disappointing. And maybe bring an extra layer if it's cold outside because sitting by the window was a bit chilly.

I came here with a friend about a month ago for lunch and had the Brisket/Ribs combo (nicely sliced brisket and ribs = 5 stars). Unfortunately, I came back again this past Friday (evening) and ordered 1# of Brisket and a rack of ribs to go. When I got home the the Brisket slices were falling apart and crumbly and smooched together in a square of foil (way over cooked, but still tasted good) and the ribs were a mixture of ribs from a number of racks, not from one rack (taste was good). Very disappointed in the product I got. Especially with the very good looking plates of food the indoor guest got while I was waiting for my food.

It's a chill spot. Staff is very nice. The meats are cooked to perfection. Garlic bread is tasty. Cornbread is nice too. Potato is ok, ordered the first time we went. I've had better. Mac n cheese is too thick, could use a little seasoning. Beans are spicy. Pickled onions and cucumbers are pretty yummy. We've tried the brisket, TRI tip and chicken. All meats are juicy. We just tried their breakfast sandwich. Really good simple but wish they had potatoes or french fries as a side option. Overall great place and hidden gem to try out.

Service was pretty good. Gotta give the counter guy points for his honesty. He pretty strong about the tri tip and brisket and suggested against the pulled pork that day, but I wanted pork so I opted for the ribs, with sides of beans and cole slaw. TBH, my meal was ok; both the ribs and beans were kind of lukewarm, but not so bad that I didn't want to eat them. So...I *might* try this place again, maybe on a different night (it was a Saturday about 4pm). It seemed like things were starting to wind down and I got caught up in it?

Nicely done tri-tip. Soft, yet textured corn bread. Potato salad is just right. Good pricing too! Definitely one of my top spots for BBQ on the go.

Best BBQ in the area. The rib sandwich was tender and crispy in the right ways, I had the mac and cheese and the potato salad for my sides. Both were delicious, not too mild but still a good balance with the flavorful barbecue.

Outside didn't look like much, but the inside was well put together. Clean interior with classic BBQ vibe. Had the rib sandwich which was delicious. Best BBQ I have had in the area. Will 100% visit again. Very happy we stumbled across this place. Nice seating area indoors and outside. Small parking out front, but big area outback.

I was served fresh brisket every time I visited which is unfortunately not always the case with other BBQ places. Love the selection of the Stubborn sodas and draft beers. Friendly service. Great ,down to earth ,local BBQ place to visit for solid food and away from downtown crowds

I got the burnt ends, and the brisket. Apparently 7 ounces of each but it felt like a lot less. Burnt ends (6/10): I was extremely pleased when I saw this on the menu because you know a bbq establishment is legit when they have burnt ends on the menu. But burnt ends drenched in bbq sauce??? That’s heresy! The saccharine sweetness of the sauce masked whatever minuscule smoke had seeped into the meat. Brisket (6/10): The brisket was cooked really well. Fell apart in my mouth. But as alluded to before I couldn’t really taste much smokiness. There isn’t much of a smoke ring too. It’s only vaguely there on one of the sides. The seasoning was sub par. If I’d never been to Texas, I’d give this spot 4 stars. But having lived in Texas for the last couple of years I’d say this is a solid 3. In Texas you can smell a bbq spot from across the block! This isn’t there, at least not yet. —— @eddythefoodcritic

this is a really great barbecue place nestled right here in the valley by Moffett Field. The service is great and so is the staff; everything was well stocked and clean. The brisket is outstanding !!!

This is fantastic BBQ! The meat is tender with flavor that makes it a wonderful and memorable experience!! We have taken family and friends ( some from TX and Kansas City) who all want to go back soon! The drinks, music and prompt service make this place a winner! My favorite is the brisket but you can't go wrong with anything here!

Delicious BBQ in Mountain View! Obviously portions won’t be as big as Texas, but the brisket was very tender and juicy. Favorite side was the beans.

Delicious food and large portions! We had dinner there on a Friday night and I had the brisket dinner, which was huge and my fiancée had the brisket sandwich. Both very tasty and we used their own bbq sauce on the meals. We came back the next day for a late lunch/early dinner as we went to Shoreline Amphitheater to see Keith Urban that night and they are less than a ten minute drive apart. I had the pork rib sandwich and she again had the brisket. The meals averaged about 20 each both visits but we felt it was worth it as it was a getaway weekend and I wasn’t concerned about prices much.

This is one of the best BBQ in the Bay. The bark & smoke rings on their tri-tip, brisket and ribs are legit. If you want bbq done proper, this is the place.

I finally made it to Wagon Wheel to try their BBQ. They have an extensive menu, with everything you’d expect. I tried the burnt ends and brisket. The sauce on the burnt ends was a tad sweet, but both meat options were tender. The brisket was quite fatty, so I found myself scraping the fat away. The sides could be improved. The cornbread did not have a lot of flavor. It needed sweetness or a side of honey. The potato salad was good, but maybe not the freshest. The coleslaw and pickles were the best out of the sides. Service is excellent and the staff are friendly. The outdoor patio is shaded and stress free. I would come back because it’s hard to find a good BBQ place in the Bay Area.

Yummy new neighborhood BBQ spot. Very fast service for take away on a Monday night. It was ready in just 10 min! Good portions and the meat was juicy but not greasy. Sides were tasty, especially the beans. Attached a photo of the plate I made at home with brisket and pulled pork with beans, slaw, and mac & cheese.

Our second time trying Wagon Wheel. It was delicious! I really enjoyed the tri tip salad. For to go they put the hot meat on the side to not wilt the lettuce which was nice. The meat was seasoned well and I enjoyed all the stuff they put on the salad.

The food is really delicious. We tried the chicken bbq plate (with potato salad, cornbread and coleslaw), hot dog, hot links and pulled pork sandwich. No complaints about any of it. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. Staff are cordial and lovely as well.

Not a BBQ fan, but this is real solid brisket. Flavorful, not stringy, not greasy, great texture. Neither the Mac nor the slaw (crispy!) was oversauced and gross. I enjoyed everything on the tray.
