This review isn’t for the swimming services themselves but for staff responses to inquiries via email. I reached out asking questions, got none of my questions answered. They instead asked me new questions of their own, which I answered. After several emails back and forth in this fashion, they told me to check out another pool instead. It felt like I was being sized up / screened and my needs (questions) didn’t matter.

Maki swim has been a fabulous addition to our lives. We started coming with my oldest son more than 2 years ago and I started my younger son at 6months. We participate in the fish classes which are parent and baby Montessori style classes and in private one on one lessons for my older son. Owner Maggie has a wonderful report with children of all ages and helps ease nervous parents. The school encourages everyone to play on the pool before and after class so that kids are exposed to the water beyond just the classroom structure and have more typical interactions with other children. Maggie has taught my kids to be safe in and around water through confidence and not fear.

I cannot recommend this place enough. We have 3 kids who receive swim lessons here and we love the gentle, thoughtful and effective approach. Mrs. Shannon is awesome :).

Love Maki! Coach Nia has been doing an amazing job with our 5 year old - at Maki we've seen her confidence improve along with her skills. They are so accomodaing and flexible.

Love Maki swim! Maggie, Tyler and staff and great - we were introduced to the swim school when we enrolled our 3 year old at Aloha Montessori pre-school next door (which is run by Maggie also). Came to swim on a few of the hotter days this summer - reserved an hour time-slot, it was very easy and laid-back. Pool is heated, and there are many toys, noodles, activities to keep the kiddo's occupied. Pool is large enough to do laps. There are bathrooms/changing areas with showers to rinse off after you swim. You can borrow/purchase vests for the little ones. Very clean and they follow covid guidelines well.

Great local swim school. Our son has been going here since 6 months old. The indoor pool is always warm and cozy. The staff is super friendly. Parking can be a little challenging but well worth the effort.

My daughter loves Ms. Shannon and looks forward to her weekly lessons. The staff are friendly, very responsive, and after just 4 lessons, my daughter's confidence and skill in the water has dramatically increased.
