I really like Kava, and i been to multiple locations but this one. However, this location made me feel unwelcomed and uncomfortable. My friends and I wanted to just enjoy a game of cards, but the manager kept forcing us to buy drinks and then we couldn't enjoy our game. When we went to pay for the drinks, he insulted us saying we were either unemployed or simply communist. I liked the vibe to the interior design and the decor but the managment really went down hill.

These guys will get to know you by name and have genuine care about their customers well being. I recommend this kava bar over the others. Let the products speak for themselves. And the owners really are great people that will walk you through everything they offer if your new to it. More than once I have gone in Kapua feeling sad and left feeling some sort of relief or joy. Thank you guys for caring and being so helpful. This is my favorite spot to go when I’m happy or sad. It’s always full of great people and worth checking out. You won’t be disappointed 😉

Cool vibes and friendly people. A relaxing place that’s better than any traditional bar My choice to be a career firefighter has left me with injuries over the years. I want to treat these symptoms with natural scientifically proven alternatives. They have helped my quality of life without having to take pain medication. I highly recommend the quality of the products here. This place is a community, not a bodega on the corner mart.

I didn’t see my old review so I figured I’d put a new one. I’ve been patronizing Kapua for a couple years now. I’m a (mostly) red kratom drinker and Kapua has the absolute best tea in town. Since I’ve been coming here, I no longer have knee pain issues and my anxiety has lessened greatly. My whole attitude and demeanor, in general, has improved. Kapua is my “happy place.” It’s where I’ve met the love of my life and some other really amazing people. All walks of life stop in here, and all are welcome. If you want to relax, de-stress, meet interesting people, play some live music, or just sit by yourself and zone out - this is your place! We are family here. There’s never any judgment. There’s always love.

Had a horrible experience here with my friends recently. Management immediately made us feel unwelcome even though we were paying customers. While paying, the manager repeatedly insulted us, implying that we either were unemployed or were communists. It's very disappointing because this was a place I used to enjoy going to and recommending. The drinks were okay, but really couldn't enjoy them with multiple people watching me constantly as if I'm about to do something bad. Left as soon as we could, and I'm definitely not going back. Depressing how this place has went downhill, if you can make the trip just go to the Kava place downtown, they won't judge you there.

Kapua Kava Bar has a wonderful atmosphere and great staff! Great place to go and hang out and meet awesome people. I would highly recommend stopping by to try some of their Kratom or Kava!

The one worker in here named Kristina was disrespectful and unwelcoming, the drinks we were served they were horrible, nasty, and bland. Would not come here and do not recommend at all.. would recommend Kava Culture and Island vibes

The Kapua Kava Bar gets a huge no for me. I generally don't waste my time leaving reviews unless they are positive however, I feel compelled to write because there was such negative vibes particularly with the Kava tender . Not a very welcoming place very nasty attitude. If you learned some customer service skills instead of having a nasty attitude you would have a returning customer.

Love Kapua!! This place is one of my Happy Places! Ron and Rhonda are awesome and always make you feel welcomed !! I love coming here after a long day at work to grab a Kava Shell or a Kr8m. The quality of products they sell are by far the best in swfl!! I suggest coming here if you’ve never been. You will not be disappointed! Star

The products here are top quality. The atmosphere, customer service, vibe, and the kava/Kratom culture and community here is incredible. I’ve been coming here for 2 years now and will continue to do so. Not just the staff here are friendly but the patrons are awesome people as well.

Great little funky tea bar with live music and comfy chairs:) Try the kava mixed drinks, they're delicious! Every other Wednesday is open mic night run by Kyle Ann Bretschneider, so come and enjoy some local original music and covers done by emerging artists. You won't be disappointed.

Recently visited this kava location because I always have an amazing time. This time my sister from out of state was with me during the time of emergency because she was worried they would be closed during her trip. We returned to the bar and had the most relaxing experince with great drinks and exactly the kind of comfort we needed during this terrible time for going out. Sat and vibed for more hours than we intended until if was time for lunch. They helped us so much during a stressful morning and time of the year. Please remember to tip your bartender and grab kava and kratom while it's all available and in stock!! Will be returning often this whole week due to cleanliness and staff and atmosphere. Can't miss out on a good thing :)

First time visiting this place definitely exceeded any and all my expectations. Nice atmosphere, definitely good and chill vibes. Rachel is very knowledgeable and explained the difference between kava and kratom. Recommended a best seller and enjoyed it so much I bought 2 more to go. I met a friend there and we played chess and just enjoyed hanging out there.

I've had good experiences there in the past but when I went there today there was a guy drinking whiskey outside who made my girlfriend uncomfortable. These are supposed to be alcohol free spaces. I guess I'll go to Kava Culture. Or the new Island Vibes located south on 41.

This is our preferred Kava bar. We’ve been several times and have gotten flavored kava drinks along with straight kava in growlers to go. Their kava prices are very reasonable and they have quality kava that achieves the relaxed feeling we want from kava. An added bonus they offer is being able to earn points on purchases and getting $ off when you use the Clover app. Again, there are other kava bars around but this is the only one we go to.

I go here regularly for a mango tango tea and it helps me through hard days of work. Their products are legit and very beneficial. There's a bit of a silly hipster vibe and the prices are kinda high but they probably spend a lot to source their material as I haven't been able to replicate their teas by buying my own. The owners and workers are super nice and remember me by name and they have a well stocked smoke and glass shop next door owned by the same couple. If you do hard physical labor, have back pain, or have to deal with a lot of people in a stressful environment, I highly recommend you stop by and try some of their stronger beverages. They will give you that edge.

Absolutely love this place! Everyone who works there is kind, friendly and a great conversationalist. All of the guests are awesome too. It's like a little family. No judgment, just love.

Meh….went inside the vibe is okay…the bartender young lady didn’t help much and the drinks with all the additives (delta 8 double shot in my drink and one in another) didn’t work at all I didn’t feel anything and no other person in my party felt anything.. to be honest it felt like a rip off and I don’t do kratom or delta 8 ever so I feel like it should of worked better. And the prices my bill was almost 50 bucks… and to not feel anything after that big of a tab… man this place is a disappointment.

First time at a kava bar and I enjoyed.

Great Kava Bar, best strength kratom tea out of all kava bars I have tried locally. However, my only complaint would be that the music is too loud at times in the evenings, depending on whose working. I like to come here to do homework, relax, and chat which is hard to do with the music being so loud. Otherwise, it's a great spot with great vibes!

Been around kava and kratom for about a year. This was the first place I stopped into after I relocated to SWFL. I've ventured around town to other places and I can't find anywhere comparable to Kapua. The atmosphere and how welcoming the staff and other customers are to the quality of the products and prices, nothing else compares. If you haven't visited here, you're missing out.

I have been to several kava bars in the area looking for my new “go-to” spot since moving from the other side of Florida. Kapua Kava is most definitely that spot. It is not only delicious, but I also get the effects I’m looking for PLUS it’s way more affordable than others near by. The kavatender suggested a drink called low tide and I can’t wait to have another. The workers were welcoming and the patrons all seem to feel comfortable and happy there. I’ll be going back asap! 🤩

I recently visited this lovely kava bar. Really enjoyed a nice kava shell they serve, with a slice of fresh pineapple. THE BEST! I also was able to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with my friends, whilst playing a game of chess. I really recommend coming here to hang out with friends. Thanks for the great experience

This is the BEST Kava bar in Southwest Florida hands down. Other kava bars may “look cool” but the quality of kava and kratom is astronomically different in comparison. Kapua has a super relaxing and unique atmosphere with a welcoming staff who are helpful in even customizing your drink request to fit your taste. I come here multiple times a week and definitely look forward to my trips in. Whether you’re an avid kava drinker or a first timer, this is the place to be.
