Many things were promised and not delivered. When we brought this to attention we were rudely spoken to by the front desk and manager. If you want to swim past 5pm the lazy river and pool are closed. There is a small lap pool. This was never mentioned in anything I read. Also, online AND when we checked in we were offered to make reservations to go next door and use the water park next door. When we went to make reservations we were told that it was blocked out the entire weekend. The rooms smell musty and are not the cleanest. There was hair in the shower from the previous guest, crumbs on the carpet and dirt in every corner of the tile. If you are expecting two beds this is not the place for you. There is a bed and a nasty pull out couch that is very uncomfortable. We picked this property so they children would have swimming amenities. Well not stay here again and I will be sure to warn all of our friends. For $500 a night I shouldn’t be expedited to sleep on a pull out couch, let alone have to put my own sheets on the bed. There are much nicer up to date accommodations that keep their pools open past 5pm! I would suggest picking another place.

I feel the need to go out of my way to leave a review for this place! (I usually don’t bother). We had an INCREDIBLE time here! I read other reviews right before we came and got scared, but we did not experience any broken amenities etc. The property was beautiful, well taken care of, and had enough to do! Our room was gorgeous and bigger than expected, the pools were amazing and there was even a sauna and steam room. The private beach was so cool and super nice that it wasn’t packed. Prices of food and drinks were the worst part but that’s expected. We would definitely return to this property anytime!! Thank you Hyatt!

Very heavenly atmosphere. Well manicured shrubbery. The warm lazy river was much needed. The staff were very kind and accommodating. The private beach and ocean were very gorgeous and exciting taking a ferry to. Got to see dolphins jumping on the wake. The hot tub was so relaxing and the other guests I met were so funny and kind. Such a great time.

Update: October 2023 Stay: Stayed in a one bedroom. Much nicer than a studio. Pool/lazy river, hot tubs all very nice. Second time on a presentation stay. However, this time the experience was terrible. They assigned me a very aggressive salesman and I gave in a bought a package. He kept my daughter and me there for more than 4 1/2 hours. Super high pressure applied. Immediately regretted the purchase. Asked about cancelling and he said just send a letter. Wasn't quite that simple. For almost $17,000 plus annual maintenance fees of around $1,200 annually I would not even get one week during a time frame that worked with my schedule. Also, for BOTH presentations they did not give me the points. I had to call the sales office who then had to contact Hyatt to post them to my account. Seems very intentional. I'm sure a lot of people just forget about it and then Hyatt gets away with ripping you off of your points. I will probably return but just pay out of pocket with no presentations. Too much stress and hassle when I'm trying to relax and have a good time. May 2023 review Stayed for three nights on a presentation package. Had a studio room. Seemed dated and in need of updating. Staff were very nice and extremely responsive. Mostly used the pools which were very nice. Glad they reopened the lazy river after hurricane Ian took such a toll on the area. Presentation was low pressure which I expected from the Hyatt. They are much classier than Hilton

This resort is just okay. There’s nothing spectacular about it. The rooms are extremely outdated, our room had mold and rust. The carpet looked very dingy and It was probably very dirty but the dark color hides it well. Although the pool area is nice, the restaurant and bar on site is over priced and mediocre at best with minimal pool side service. The lazy river is fun and it made up for everything else that was lacking. If you’re looking for a luxury resort this is definitely not it!! But it’s great for families with kids... This “resort” feels like you’re at an apartment complex with nice pools. The grounds are just like an apartment complex, absolutely nothing impressive about it. Also, there’s a lot of construction and if you get building 51 you will hear the construction activity going on all day. The “lake view” advertised on the website is currently a horrible construction site view. I feel like the Hyatt played down the construction noise and definitely needs to let guest know that the views are horrible right now. We were not impressed and disappointed the Hyatt didn’t offer exact details of construction. If I would have known how loud and horrible it was going to look I would have never booked here. Again this place is great for families with children, but we will not be returning as it didn’t offer the true resort experience we were looking for.

My husband and I arrived on January 8 for a 4-night stay. I had booked a King size room with a corner view. As soon as we arrived at reception, we found the receptionist unwelcoming and didn't share a single greeting to welcome us. He made no effort to make himself understood or to answer our questions. This is the first image we have of the hotel, and first impressions count for a lot. Next, we go to our room 1702, and as soon as we push open the door, we see a pretty room with 3 bay windows. The problem is that these 3 windows overlook a huge construction site next to the hotel, the view is despicable and the noise from the trucks incessant. Unable to accept this situation, I asked to change rooms to have a view other than the building site. The receptionist told me there was room 1126, where the noise would be the same but the view would be a little different from the building site. Worst of all, he told me we'd have to pay an extra 50 dollars a night for this room, and that we'd already paid 700 dollars a night. We were so tired that we agreed to change rooms. Every morning, we were woken up at 7:00 am by the noise of trucks and the construction site. How can a hotel of this category not warn its clientele that a noisy construction site is underway... it's a minimum to ensure transparency and why not lower its prices? Worse still, how dare we ask for a supplement for a room where all we have left is a bay window, and the noise is just as bad? We're in a hurry to check out tomorrow and will never come back here.

EDIT: I was very disappointed to see a dog at the pool. It had no "service dog" vest. Pets other than service dogs are not allowed on HVC properties. >:( Beautiful facility! Sam and Sandy at the registration area were very efficient and pleasant. Great location, activities every day, fantastic amenities. Our unit, 5284, overlooks the par 3 golf course. Had a bite to eat at The Veranda. Val was so pleasant and the food was delicious.

Great place to stay if you are looking for a quaint condo. My son and I stayed in the two bedroom two bathroom apartment. Newly renovated with nice decor. Came with a galley style open concept kitchen with a dining area and living room. We did not hang out too much in the room too much as there is a great pool area with a lazy river. The cabanas are extremely reasonably priced and come with a tv that you can use your streaming services on as well as a mini refrigerator. We also took the short shuttle boat ride to the private beach that they offer. Super nice experience not very crowded at all. They also sell drinks and small snacks at the beach. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. Highly suggest this hotel/timeshare.

I was just harassed by management for having an insulated Aldi shopping bag with water and grapes in it. A bald man came and told us it was unacceptable, and then proceeded to stare at my family from the bushes for 15 minutes until we felt uncomfortable enough that we decided to go home. The pool has a no cooler policy and even though other guests had soft yeti coolers, we were told we could not have our Aldi bag with water. It is a shame such a nice pool treats its own guests like criminals.

Nice rooms that are well appointed though in certain places are starting to show their age. Staff not overly friendly or helpful and the lack of any housekeeping service "due to covid" is laughable in this age. Said they would only change our bedding if we were staying two weeks. Pretty gross.

Stayed here for a presidents club trip. The resort is really nice with many things to do. The pool area is amazing (water slides, lazy river, variety of pools) The rooms were really nice and spacious. We stayed in the Corner suite so the views were pretty amazing.

We were quite impressed with our weekend visit! This was our second trip! Checkin staff were very pleasant & informative. We enjoyed 2 dinners @ Hyatt Regency. The food & service were excellent! We took advantage of a couple activities: shuffleboard, the lazy river, hot tub, sauna, workout room & the pool. We had a very enjoyable weekend. We will definitely be back!

In October 2023, we went on vacation here. We did a sales presentation, where the sales person convinced us to sell back a premium week ($13K) for their new portfolio point system. We also added additional portfolio points to the new contract for an additional ($6K). All of this was paid in full, including $600 in closing costs. Went to book a vacation early December and saw that points had never been added and it was still showing my week (the contract that we sold back), plus wanted me to pay an additional $1.6K in 2024 maintenance fees. Told by Hyatt Corp. that I needed to contact the sales office where I made the purchase. Every time I call they tell me I need to speak to Tom, but he's with a guest and will get back to me as soon as he's available. I've called and gotten this response 3 times, and Tom has never called back. Hyatt Corporate finally escalated it and requested that I send them the contract documents, which I did 2 weeks ago. Mind you, we are now going on almost 4 months since we made this purchase. They can't get me to anyone who's 'looking into this', I just keep getting the run around. I'm beyond frustrated and just want my money back. I cannot believe I'm having this kind of customer service from Hyatt. I've owned with them since 2014 and never had an issue. UPDATE: Finally got someone to actually pull up my contract at the sales office. Basically they are NOT honest, and don't really tell you how long things will take. If someone told me you are doing this in October, but once we bill you in December, then it will take an additional 90-100 days before you are actually able to get these points and book anything...in March. 6 Months...oh, and you won't be able to use any other points you have until all this goes through. Final Advice - DON'T DO IT!

Great location. They are still doing work after the hurricane on the grounds but other than that with the trip and experience. Very kid/teen friendly. Great middle location between Marco Island, Naples and Sanibel Island.

The hotel and staff were great. Lb Transportation is the most reliable and best in class service that I’ve used in Florida. I travel across the globe and I rate this team with the best in class limo’s services around the World. They are Kind and their customer service is impeccable.

Love the many pools, lazy river, activities, amenities, etc. Staff knowledgable, exceeded expectations. Great studio accommodations. I could live here year 'round!

This is our little slice of Heaven. We’ve been here multiple times over the years and most recently August of 2022. It’s worth it to get a condo style room. Cook your own food and enjoy the summer days by the pool. The lazy river is so tranquil and we still have yet to find one better. The landscaping is top notch and adds to the tropical feeling. We always enjoy our stays and I am just dying to go back here.

Our 2-bedroom unit was not in good condition requiring several repairs (leaking near toilet in the master bathroom, no water pressure in the kitchen sink faucett, master bedroom slider lock not working) and should not have been occupied.

This was our 2nd year staying at the Bonita Springs HRC and it was great! There is a lot to do on site, even with renovation due to the hurricane. The staff is truly amazing. I have to give a special shout out to the server that was working in the cafe on the last day - I left my purse and she worked with the front desk to get in contact with me before we got too far from the hotel. I highly recommend staying here!

Spacious rooms, beautiful landscaping. Additional luggage carts would be helpful, but perhaps other guests just didn't put them back at the elevator. Lazy river is relaxing! Can't wait to visit again.

Great place to vacation with younger kids. The lazy river is awesome! Make sure you book time at the private beach/cabana ahead of time, they are both amazing as well.

Been going here for last 3 years, beautiful spot for a relaxed family adventure, all staff are truly amazing!!!! Super clean!! Perfect for the kids to really enjoy themselves. The staff and management do a great job with activities for the kids. Plus after having that hurricane hit there, they did amazing job getting it ready and cleaned up. A+. See you all again next spring break.

Excellent rooms and amenities. Its a little far off the beaten path but great for a staycation or extended trip. The pool system was great for kids. Reservation system is a little stressful but understandably necessary. Only issue was we saw bugs on our kitchen island right before we left. Not sure how they got there because we barely ate in the room. Other than that it was great.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 4-night stay at the Hyatt Residence Club resort in Bonita Springs, Florida last week. The pools were amazing, the Alligator Alley lazy river absolutely beautiful, and the views simply spectacular (especially at sunrise). My only complaints were that the mattress on the pullout couch was too thin, and that the margaritas at the poolside bar too expensive. In short, though, I highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Bonita Springs.

How do I begin? This is just a piece of heaven in the earth! No need to say more. All is perfect here, the service, the apartments( yes, this is Resort, people need to understand the concept) the pools, the lazy river! The ferry to the beach, the food, and not to mentione the landscaping!!! If you want to be away and enjoy every second of time, this is the place!

Worst experience for a resort...most of the amenities does not work..food services not available.. opens at 9 for breakfast when half of the world has finished it.. worst customer service and staff has no correct information to provide

Room had a view of the golf course. Had a great time at the pool and lazy river! Place an order and enjoy your lunch by the pool.

Updating review and changing from 1-star to 3-star. The hotel addressed the main issues with us and we worked out a resolution, so I am grateful for that. I would still point out that the rooms are very dated, especially for the price.
