My
husband
and
I
arrived
on
January
8
for
a
4-night
stay.
I
had
booked
a
King
size
room
with
a
corner
view.
As
soon
as
we
arrived
at
reception,
we
found
the
receptionist
unwelcoming
and
didn't
share
a
single
greeting
to
welcome
us.
He
made
no
effort
to
make
himself
understood
or
to
answer
our
questions.
This
is
the
first
image
we
have
of
the
hotel,
and
first
impressions
count
for
a
lot.
Next,
we
go
to
our
room
1702,
and
as
soon
as
we
push
open
the
door,
we
see
a
pretty
room
with
3
bay
windows.
The
problem
is
that
these
3
windows
overlook
a
huge
construction
site
next
to
the
hotel,
the
view
is
despicable
and
the
noise
from
the
trucks
incessant.
Unable
to
accept
this
situation,
I
asked
to
change
rooms
to
have
a
view
other
than
the
building
site.
The
receptionist
told
me
there
was
room
1126,
where
the
noise
would
be
the
same
but
the
view
would
be
a
little
different
from
the
building
site.
Worst
of
all,
he
told
me
we'd
have
to
pay
an
extra
50
dollars
a
night
for
this
room,
and
that
we'd
already
paid
700
dollars
a
night.
We
were
so
tired
that
we
agreed
to
change
rooms.
Every
morning,
we
were
woken
up
at
7:00
am
by
the
noise
of
trucks
and
the
construction
site.
How
can
a
hotel
of
this
category
not
warn
its
clientele
that
a
noisy
construction
site
is
underway...
it's
a
minimum
to
ensure
transparency
and
why
not
lower
its
prices?
Worse
still,
how
dare
we
ask
for
a
supplement
for
a
room
where
all
we
have
left
is
a
bay
window,
and
the
noise
is
just
as
bad?
We're
in
a
hurry
to
check
out
tomorrow
and
will
never
come
back
here.
