I think the place is fantastic, unique. Very nicely decorated and pleasant. The treatment of the waiter who served us was not adequate. As soon as we entered the waiter wanted to sell us the tasting menu. We told him we wanted to see the menu and he got angry. In the end we thought we would order a starter, an anticucho, a main course and another vegetable dish. It was all to share for 2. The quantities were tiny, not even for one person, a lot of decoration and a lot of presentation, but they were not dishes to satisfy our hunger. Everything was delicious and the desserts were spectacular. What annoyed us were the abusive prices and that on top of that they wanted to charge you almost £24 in service charge, because nobody can force you to leave a tip, and then two more charges for an ONG. I find it unfortunate that they force people to leave these kind of optional charges when they are the ones making the donations on your behalf. When we asked them to remove these additional charges the manager was very upset and came quickly to get us to pay and leave. Excessive prices and on top of that we were treated rudely. Not a place to recommend even to your worst enemy. It was almost £180 and you can appreciate the quantity of the dishes.

Tonight, I experienced the "FLAVOURS & RHYTHMS OF SOUTH AMERICA" event at Coya City. Immersed in the enchanting flavors of Peru, I savored the delightful hospitality and ambiance of this remarkable venue. The gathering with the Latin America travel trade community in London added a vibrant touch. The hospitality at Coya City is unparalleled; the staff, including the excellent bartender, exudes truly authentic warmth. I wholeheartedly recommend this venue – it's truly a jewel!

An excellent restaurant with great ambience. Very friendly waiters and bartenders that make some of the best cocktails. The food is authentic. I enjoyed all the dishes. We got the waiter to suggest and bring on dishes will we could eat no more. The wine list was moderate but at least they did have several good wines. Definitely a good place to visit for a business or romantic meal. A stone’s throw away from Bank station, in the heart of the city of London

This was a lovely experience for an afternoon with a longtime friend. Busy and buzzing during the lunch hour. A lovely ambience, I was a little bit put off that the kitchen closes at 2.45, so we were rushed to make our order, so whilat we were catching up on a late Thursday afternoon the experience felt slightly rushed . Would like to visit again when we have the freedom to enjoy. Food was tasty, the kale salad was refreshing and so tasty

We visited Coya for dinner a few weeks ago and were really pleased to be given a table considering we hadn't booked. The space is absolutely stunning and the staff were very friendly. However, as the evening progressed we noticed a bit of an attitude shift from the staff. There were a couple next to us who were clearly favourites, and the manager spent a long time sitting and chatting to them. Meanwhile whenever we asked for anything, it was very hard to get our waiter's attention and we felt a bit like an inconvenience. At one point I had my foot out of my shoe, and the manager quickly swooped in and whispered in my ear telling me to put my shoes on. At least I could finally get a drinks order in! The food was average at best and took a long time to be delivered. Towards the end of the meal we were considering purchasing cocktails, but by that point we felt so unwelcome we decided to opt for another bar. We actually asked for the service charge to be removed from the bill, which they did without question and with no follow up from the manager. Considering this was a £250+ meal, I was thoroughly unimpressed with the experience. Myself and my partner are both in our twenties, which may have contributed to the lack of care from staff, though I'd like to think they wouldn't be so quick to presume we could not afford to be there. Going forward, I will be taking my custom to more welcoming establishments.

Had a great experience. Davide was excellent, attending to all our needs and making perfect recommendations to our taste. The sea bass was lovely, cooked perfectly and the rice it came with was seasoned nicely. The beef skewers were also very tender, melt in your mouth. Would definitely recommend COYA!

5 stars are not enough to describe the experience we had. The setup, the food, the music, absolutely amazing. Chris, responsible for our service a true professional.

I would never visit again or recommend. Visiting for the bottomless champagne Brunch. One of the most expensive in London we were expecting something amazing. Food, service , performance wise. There were six of us and we were rushed. Service was terrible. Therefore value for money was not there. The vegetarian option for a friend was poor. I have been to many brunches and this is the worst by far. You will be left feeling gutted.

This is a very nice stylish restaurant with very friendly staff. The food is tasty and I don't like spicy so all these meals the mushrooms, tiger prawns, corn salad and the beef with mushroom was very yummy. As you see that meal would be enough for 3 people or maybe even 4 if you have some sides with it. The chocolate fondant with almond ice cream was yummy too.

Found 2 long black hairs in my food (I am blonde). Not only did the manager try to continue serving our food without addressing it, but when we raised it again, he said that 'no one in the kitchen has that hair' - almost accusing us of planting it there ourselves. We asked for the bill and left. They charged us for the drinks.

Once again, 5 star food, service, drinks, ambiance. We love Coya, everything was delicious, with the miso mushroom skewers and the sea bass making a particularly spectacular impression. Truly friendly and professional table service also noteworthy. Will happily eat here again.

This restaurant is so nice! We had just got back from Peru a few weeks ago and we’re missing the Pisco Sours - so wanted a little moment of going back to Peru. It did not disappoint! The service here is excellent and the food just brilliant. It’s worth having the guacamole starter option just to see it prepared fresh at your table. We probably ordered too much with 4 starters and 2 mains, we could have shared just 1 main but it’s a tempting menu and one we really enjoyed. Thank you for a really lovely evening :)

Good vibes, and food good but not excellent! We had a lovely meal here and whilst the food was tasty, we felt it wasn’t value of money. We’ve been to similar places before and the food was outstanding and worth the money, at COYA the food was good it wasn’t outstanding! Vibes was really amazing though and it wouldn’t put me off!! So 4 out of 5 for me!!

I had very high expectations for this place, and it started off really well. However, after the first dish, my excitement began to fade rapidly. In the beginning, we were offered drinks. I decided to try a classic Pisco sour, and I must admit, the cocktail was excellent. The waiter suggested starting with guacamole and corn tortillas, which I thought was a good idea, considering I was planning to go for a menu option that included three starters and one main dish. The guacamole was lovely but a bit too salty. The three starters included a corn salad, a spinach, walnut, and goji salad, and portobello mushrooms on skewers. The corn salad (Trio de Maiz) was delicious but quite large for a starter. The spinach salad (Espinacas con Manchego) was tasty but had too much dressing, making it overpowering. The portobello mushrooms were not particularly interesting. When we ordered the main dish, the waiter suggested a side dish, and I chose the Miso aubergine. We waited for the main dish for about 25-30 minutes, and when it arrived, I was left surprised. It was smaller than the side dish and didn't even qualify as an afterthought. The main dish (Trigo en Wok) consisted of spelt, squash, cauliflower, and fresh truffle, but it was essentially a spelt side dish with very little flavour. My partner ordered the salmon, which he found bland as well. In general, I found the food to be one-dimensional, making it forgettable. Additionally, I felt that the service lacked finesse. I don't appreciate when the waiter addresses me with "Do you want?" instead of "Would you like?" It's just not good etiquette. Also, when one of the waiters brought the salmon dish, she mistakenly called it tuna. This indicates a need for improved staff training. I wanted to try their desserts, but by the time I got there, I was incredibly full. I think they should inform customers about their portion sizes or at least inquire at the beginning how much they'd like to eat, as the portions were quite disproportionate. However, it was a nice gesture from the restaurant to offer us two bowls of sorbets to celebrate our anniversary, as we chose to dine there for our special lunch. Additionally, please note that if you choose to go during the City during lunch hours, it can be very noisy and hectic.

I used to come quite a lot to this restaurant and we have noticed the serviced changed. I wanted a close to home birthday dinner and knew that the food was quite good here and did not disappoint. The evening started with a negative welcome at the reception where my partner was made very uncomfortable by the hostesses. They've asked him to take off his hat and when he resisted at first, they've laughed it off and said he was beautiful without it... way to go making someone feel uncomfortable. After that another hostess took us to our table making us bump into other diners as they were trying to move around seats. The rest of the service was great although we had to wait a long time for the bill that eventually we got up and said we will pay at the till or we have to leave because although it was 10pm on Friday, for banking it's not the end of the working day. The food was very delicious and I have to say it has improved although some of the items I've used to order have now disappeared from the menu. Our favourite are always the guacamole sauce, which we would order 10 of the dish and the beef tataki although there's no taste of the truffle. All in all we have ordered : guacamole with corn crisps, beef tataki, tuna tostadas, salmon taco shells, tuna tataki and chicken skewers. At the end my bf ordered dessert and they made his platter a happy birthday platter for me which he was very happy to finish! Very nice touch and throughly appreciated. I definitely recommend people to dine here for an exquisite taste of Peru.

Absolutely loved the food here, I’ve been told it’s better than Mayfair. The yellow fin tuna and prawn was beautiful. If you like seafood this is a good place to go and also the chicken is halal! Crab tacos we’re definitely my favorite. Drinks were also good and mocktails were tasty, not too sweet and different to in taste. Manager and staff were great and kindly arrange a wonderful display of desert for us which was stunning both in site and taste.

Everything great except service which was hit and miss. We arrived on time for our 8pm booking but were made to wait at the bar for 20 minutes before being seated. Also the waitress who took our payment (thick black glasses) acted obviously annoyed when we wanted to split the bill (so obvious that we discussed it after we left the restaurant) which put a dampener on what was otherwise a great night. The server who took our orders was great though and very friendly. We also really enjoyed the food and drinks which were excellent as always.

Great place, worth the price. Food was tasty and served in good portions. Waiting staff was friendly and attentive. Light and music were good. There was a bit of wait to get our reserved table and the waiting area at the bar is too tight, but those are minor issues. Overall we had a great time!

Great taste, EXTREMELY OVERPRICED for the EXTREMELY SMALL quantities. Way Beyond Michelin star pricing for a restaurant that’s definitely not at those levels. Very loud too. 15% service charge? And another “eco friendly service charge”? Service was too pushy trying too hard to continue selling us stuff - had to repeatedly say no to more cocktails, repeatedly no to more food

Great service and wonderful premises. The food is delightful and there's a fantastic wine menu. The lunch menu is perfect. Use the starters between two/three and share the various items to try a bit of everything - that's my tip.

Probably the most upscale Peruvian experience you can have in London. The dishes are slightly adapted to the British/European taste, without compromising its original cuisine style. Good wine selection. Although expensive, I would definitely advise for a celebration date.

I had brunch at Coya with a few friends and we had a fab experience! The shared platters came in stages - a variety of seafood and meat which were super tasty and filling. Absolutely loved the fusion of flavours, along with the live music and dancers which made it an unforgettable experience. The staff were so lovely and attentive - will definitely be back!

An overall fantastic night at COYA, 5 star experience. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, and suggested great dishes. The food was lovely all through from appetisers to dessert, you won’t be disappointed. The setting was great with a great selection of music. Not the cheapest, but as expected for a quality restaurant in the city. Thanks for a great night.

Incredibly pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was great and the servers were all genuine and kind. The food was absolutely superb. The ribeye was a much larger portion than I expected, and paired with the chimichurri, it was one of the best steaks I had ever had.

This is a restaurant I have been to a few times now, I have always been impressed. The food is always excellent. The Peruvian cuisine provides a variety of great dishes. The selection of small plates makes this restaurant perfect for groups. Will continue to come back in the future

This cosy little restaurant presents the best Peruvian restaurant this side of London. Just a few yards from the hustle and bustle, COYA serves up beautiful deliciousness for a moderate price, affordable for its neighborhood. We had the yellowfin tuna sashimi with a delicious creamy sauce that complimented the pickled garnish very well. The star for me was the beef tataki, served with some peanut butter droplets and crispy pieces that provided some awesome texture to the dish. Tamarind glazed pork ribs were good but were a little less fleshy and a little less tender than we expected them to be. The ground peanuts were a nice touch though. The sea bream was awesome, smoked in a very similar way as the "tinapa" in the Philippines, lying on a bed of soft pink fir potatoes. Great way to polish off our lunch. The service was very good, although the staff tend to hover around a little too much, distracting from the conversation. All in all, would recommend this resto if you need a good place for a lunch date or a quick catch up with friends. Great job COYA!

Really great food and service. We went for the tasting menu which is £70 pp but well worth it and we were very satisfied with the selection and amount of food. The chicken skewer was disappointing but everything else was great. The ceviche is amazing and so was the cod. Recommend but the angel court location does need a little spruce up.

The place is amazing. Unfortunately the kitchen closes too early and you feel rushed to order and to eat

This business was unable to provide a reservation for a table for 10+ people in a week incl follow up calls and emails. When trying to split the reservation into 2 bookings their phone staff requires you to make up 2 names, phone numbers and email addresses. Pretty unacceptable - maybe they have no interest in corporate customers *shrug*

Amazing meal! The food was stunning, the service was first class, and the bar, restaurant and general ambience was delightful! I think we have found a new favourite restaurant for our trips to London...we will be back!!

  • 4/5 Estefania P. 2 years ago on Google
Really liked the place. The ambience is fantastic, so is the service. Everything was spot on. Also, everything looks very pretty. In terms of food, the menu is very broad. There are a lot of options for people that also aren’t so close to Peruvian food. The prices are more on the expensive side, specially since the portions are quite small compared to other places. My only tiny suggestion is if they can try to keep the music a bit lower. There is a live DJ that threw some cool Cuban salsa and techno remixes, but it was so loud that it was hard to keep a conversation. But other than that, was a really good experience.

The chiliean sea bass with saffron risotto, and generally the mains and alcohol are to die for. The starters are not on par, but still quite good (3.5 out of 5) Food, atmosphere and service are superb and definitely highlight a much more 'empty' part of the city, food-wise. That's why I go with 5 stars despite the starters.

  • 4/5 David J. 4 years ago on Google
Food and service were fantastic - only minor point was the furniture bizarrely! The tables for 2 guests are quite small considering the sharing concept of the menu, also quite tightly packed in meaning the waiters are unavoidably brushing past guests to serve other tables. Other than this, superb and well worth a visit if you fancy trying something different!

Worse customer service ever. Don't ever go there for a special occasion, they simply don’t care. I booked a table for my birthday in advance, it was for 2 adults and one child ( 8 yrs) which I said at reservation. All confirmed and all chuffed about our plans then three days before my birthday they let me know we cannot go because children are not allowed, only allowed to go at 6pm which is impossible since we both work. They completely ruined my birthday plans and no solution at all and we all know it is hard to find another good table in London three days in advance. Nowhere in their website it stares that children are not allowed. Guess they dont need any business after the pandemic

Half decent place for dinner but weekends in the city are slightly devoid of ambience. Also kitchen closed by 9pm but I'm fairly sure that's a one-off. Better to come here for a boozy brunch.

  • 3/5 Mona 2 years ago on Google
Celebrated my birthday at Coya - The ceviche was amazing and the patatas bravas. However I was told by the waiter that they had an extra delicious starter on the menu called “fried lobster”. When the dish arrived I immediately said “this is empanadas which I unfortunately don’t like at all”. I don’t know how but I still ended up having to pay 14£ extra for a dish that was misdescribed to be and I didn’t even touch or eat. Was quite disappointed about this because everything else about this place is great.

  • 3/5 Desi H. 2 years ago on Google
We had a table for two booked for 18:30. At 19:40 o'clock the waiter came to inform us that they needed the table at 20:00 o'clock and if they could move us to the bar. We were still waiting for one of our dishes and had not had the chance to even look at the desserts. I asked him why so early and he just shrugged 'it is all about business' I then retorted that except this there is also such thing as customer satisfaction. He just moved away. The last of the dishes came shortly after he went away. He then came back 10 minutes later to tell us that the table was no longer needed so we could stay! Phew, as this gave us a chance to order a dessert... His attitude was also excessively familiar, which I disliked. I also asked for the tasting menu that is clearly listed on your web side and was told 'This is Mayfair'. A rather disappointing experience and disrespectful service despite the good food, albeit at very high premium. Certainly did not feel welcome.

The restaurant is a bit hidden within the Bank area. It's lovely inside. The food is ok. Some dishes are a bit too salty to my taste. The best dish is probably the risotto with sea bass.
