If zero stars was an option... My aunt lived in this facility for almost 10 months. She was severely neglected on many levels. The facility's employee turn over was rampant, for example, there were 3 dietitians during that time frame. The food was very poor quality and contributed to her downfall. Sometimes, she was served the same meal for lunch and dinner for several days and was not given fresh fruit or vegetables often. One cook told her she was no longer a renal diabetic & could eat anything she wanted. For most of her stay hot water was a consistent problem, she'd refuse showers sometimes because she didn't want to be so cold. When she mentioned this issue, she was ignored. there was also a water leak and water on the floor a lot. I suspect her perennial cough she picked up living there was caused by mold in the walls. My aunts personal clothing and social security card were stolen out of her room. CNA's falsified her weight and she was always over-medicated and not given the medicine originally prescribed from her outside physician because the facility deemed it too expensive. The "physician" and "physician assistant" saw her once over her 9 months living there, so she digressed. The last few days, I told her that we needed to transfer her to a hospital because she could die. Due to the pandemic, she had been quarantined to her room for the last two months (2022) and no family member had seen her physically. Alma, a nurse tried to tell me on the phone my aunt was fine and she didn't want hospitalization. Kyle, her "clinical case worked" reiterated as such, however when I asked if he'd ever met her or laid eyes on her, he said no. The neglect, miscommunication of leadership disgusted me. If you do not care about your family member, this is a great place to send them.

While the people here are very nice, they are overworked and don't have enough staff for the patients. When my mother was there it was not uncommon to hear people calling out for help from their rooms. Additionally blankets, glasses, and clothes brought from home did not leave the facility with her, and when she did leave the facility, they did not contact us to let us know she was being transferred, but dropped her off at her assisted living facility with two bags and no meds. My brother and I had to drop what we were doing when we got a call to say she had just been dropped off when we expected to work with the facility to transfer her ourselves.

I would highly recommend Atherton Regency for anyone looking to place your loved ones in a skilled nursing facility. They have an amazing activities director, who plans fun activities and makes day to day living enjoyable with music therapy. Administrator, admissions teams, social service, and marketing director are super helpful. They make you feel like youโ€™re home.

Our clients who have stayed at Atherton Park Post Acute have spoken positive about the care and treatment they received while recuperating after a hospital stay. Each time I visit, Bradโ€™s team of professionals are busy caring for their patients in a skilled and compassionate capacity. Each member works hard for your health and well being.

As a former physical therapist with APPA, I cannot commend enough of how great the clinicians are at this facility. I have had experience at various skilled nursing facilities and long term units, however I have never been so impressed with the communication, team work, and respect portrayed between the nursing and rehabilitation departments. As part of therapy team, I had the opportunity to work along side Megan, Neda, and Ethan, whom are all humble and exceptional therapists and therapist assistant. In regards to the nursing department, I have been impressed time and time again with Sylvia, Charlene, Ashley, Abigail, Mandy, Sharmila, and the full time CNA staff with how communicative, respectful, and diligent they were in coordinating with the therapy team to provide utmost, quality care. These clinicians are exceptional and often go above and beyond what they are expected to do in order to provide patient-centered care. Although I am no longer an employee with APPA, I know that under Brad's (administrator) and Ishan's (regional rehabilitation director) leadership, the patients at this facility are receiving the highest caliber of care they will find in the Bay Area.

Working with the folks at Atherton, given the pandemic, has been so streamlined especially with care coordination. Despite the outbreak within the Facility, they quelled it and kept their patients and residents and Families safe with their stringent protocol. Brad and Travis are amazing leaders along with Sam and Mariel, who, as social workers, assured a smooth discharge to ensure their patients safely return home with their Family. Melissa, the Admission Director, is a great gatekeeper who qualifies admissions with strict guidelines with safety and protection in mind for the staff and in-house patients. Thanks to you all for being a great community partner for ANX Home Healthcare and Hospice. We salute you frontliners.

People in Atherton made me and my team feel at ease while doing work for them. Nurse Staff, Social Services and the Administrator really took their time to always engage. We saw as well how patients are managed well.

Where do start? The service is really good. Everyone is really nice to me. I love the food services department and I receive excellent service by the nurses. Everyone helped me to get better quickly. Social service is very helpful, I would recommend any of my friends and family members to come to this facility if they need rehab. Never had any complaints during my stay here.

My husband has been taken very good care by the staffs at this rehab. People are nice and patience. Especially to the CNA Ana, sheโ€™s so good in taking care of my husband, every time when sheโ€™s on duty, she cleaned him so well and even shaved him and made him looks so pleasant, really appreciated her effort๐Ÿ‘ Thank you so much for your wonderful service!
