We visited for a Cuban afternoon. The food was amazing and the cocktails were too. D.J played fab Cuban music and people got up and danced and enjoyed the summer afternoon into the evening. Toilets were clean and accessible and travel links good. Sainsburys local petrol station right next door if you need it. A fabulous venue. That also boasts a rooftop area

Good Putney pub. 3 cask beers on handpump when I visited. Decent sized garden to the rear some of it covered. The pub is a famous live music venue and has been hosting gigs every day since the 1960s. Gigs are in a separate back room well soundproofed from the bar. Surprisingly quiet before the Spurs game at Craven Cottage.

Went to see Absolute Bowie tribute and it was amazing! The half moon is one of the places for live music and we go a lot. Drinks are london prices so expect to pay £7+ for a pint. Music room is usually a sell out so try to get there for doors if you want a good perch.

Great place. Terrific traditional pub by itself is worth a visit but the legendary band room makes it priceless and iconic.

The Half Moon is one of my fav pubs in the area. Service is great, very friendly and efficient. Pints were good. We both had fish and chips which was very nice. It is also famous for live music and we have been to a few gigs here in the past. No gig for us on this visit but it's definitely one to try as it's a excellent little venue.

The Half Moon is not only a historic pub musically and locally, it is an integral part of the Rock and Blues scene , and all genres since early 1960s. The old saloon and public bar are now just one bar going right through. The music venue is accessed easily from that bar. The garden is perfect, and the range of beer and spirits is second to none. Please consider having a meal or a snack provided by their proffesional kitchen staff. The music venue has hosted the great bands of the past ie The Who, The Stones and Steve Marriott and anyone who is anyone has player there. They still host big bands and great artists such as Albert Lee and Greg KOCH . Enjoy a night out listening to the top tribute bands reliving the Small Faces, The Stones and the Who. You will think you went back in time. They also support new and upcoming bands as well as comedy ! Its a gem.of a place and its OURS we are very lucky to have it and its enjoyed by all types, just for a drink and a meal or a night out seeing and supporting great bands. Ken Muir

Came to this pub for a hair show, was a very chilled out vibe, low lighting in the events room so bring a ring light or borrow friends phones for flash in pics. Toilets look nice but need a regular clean as smell pretty bad. Event itself was great! Drinks are on the pricey side 🤑

We had a good night out at the Half Moon seeing the David Bowie tribute band, which was laugh. The sound quality wasn't as good as I was hoping because it's a live performance: the speakers just didn't give us that feeling as though they were clear enough. The crowd was good and we enjoyed ourselves. I think the toilets were really stinky, and it just felt like the place wasn't cleaned up that often. otherwise, it is a nice place to see live music.

A little embarrassing…. Went there a few times. One time we tried to order a bottle of wine as listed. They were out of our first 3 *three choices. Walked in just now, and they’re out of Guinness.. mind you, this is not a mom&pop pub…. The interior looks wonderful and music plays a big part in the pub. That’s good for a star The staff is gracious which is worth a lot, especially when they’re understocked. A saving grace one hopes the ownership appreciates.

Fantastic venue. We had a drink in the bar before going through to watch the band, the sound was excellent and there was a great atmosphere without feeling too crammed in. Staff were helpful and friendly too. I will definitely visit again soon.

Always good service and nice range of ales. I'm alcohol free and they have Estrella and another choice on tap! Great music/comedy venue and wonderful garden... what's not to love..

Fun atmosphere. Can be pretty noisy at times. We had a table celebrating a stag night next to us, I complained and it was taken care of immediately. Service was excellent, Jack was our waiter. Fish and chips were delicious!

Phenomenal small gig venue... it often sells out early so don't hang about. :)

Went to a gig in the back room. The sound was atrocious. There was very loud feedback, some members of the band weren't audible at times, and I wasn't alone in leaving. However, the bar staff were lovely, the service was great, and it's a very comfortable venue. I just won't go back for any live music.

We had a very comfortable meal before watching the band. The service was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. Good background music in the restaurant part of the pub.

This legendary pub even manages to provide good food. I'm not sure I should say this but what a great excuse to get to a gig early/on time. Book a table and eat there beforehand. It helps that the beer is great too.

We just arrived a week ago from Los Angeles and went to Half Moon for our first Sunday Roast. Great food, great place, and our host (Jack, along with a lovely woman - sorry forgot her name) showed us around, told us of the rich history of the place and the music. We’ll be back for food, beverage and some music

A good pub with good service. No waiting at the bar to be served and the place is busy enough to give a good atmosphere. They have a separate room with a stage for live music. We have seen several groups and never been let down on quality. A place worth a try.

Lovely pub offering food with a music venue at the back. Good atmosphere with music memorabilia on the walls Band sounded great & good lighting. Pub/venue is located on a main road so parking can be a problem at certain times. Would definitely visit to see live music

What a great venue. Got me reminiscing about the early 90s when London was full of venues like this. Fortunate to see A Band called Malice here. Crowd was friendly and the sound was exceptional. Bar accessible and not too crowded. Will definitely be back

What a great night! Have wanted to go to a live show at the Half Moon for years but only recently managed it... And it did not disappoint! Will definitely be returning for more live music :-)

Great pub & music venue. Good food (although London prices) and decent beer, too. Large outdoor covered seating area with heaters.

Awesome pub with heated outdoor terrace. The food is fresh and good quality. The governor is an amazing cricketer especially in the batting department.

Great live music venue in a pleasant pub. Lots of history in the venue itself, good sound, the bar has a good range of beers (maybe not the cheapest in London!) and decent food. The outside terrace has plenty of seating and an outdoor food stall in warmer months, and plenty of room for us antisocial smokers...

Favourite pub in Putney area, great venues, live music, nice atmosphere and decoration, outdoor area… On Football day gets really crowded but usually staff it’s nice and quick serving.

Perfect place for a gig if a little pricey on the beer side.

The best pub in Putney still but not a patch on its former self. Was a wonderful old fashioned pub in the 90s and noughties with juke box, pool table, great bands, great people. Mow it is like most of the other gastro pubs in the area but at least still has the music. Under good management again now after a few years of useless 20 something who don't know how a pub should be run

Great pub in general, I go there for gigs mainly but there’s room for improvement in the speed of service at the bar, particularly when the pub is busy just before people go into the room where the bands play. One can wait several minutes to pay a food bill or order drinks to take into the back room. There’s usually lots of staff buzzing around, doing “stuff” but only a couple of people pulling pints and serving drinks. That can be frustrating.

I'm not a local, and 1st time I've eaten at The Half Moon. After yesterdaay, I'll certainly be eating therecagain when I'm on the area seeing bands. BTW, I saw Moving Pictures - a tribute to Rush - at The Half Moon yesterday too (both shows). I'm not familiar with Rush, but Moving Pictures are an excellent band who I am keen to see again
