I love going to Mercado Rodriguez: fresh fruit, veggies, great meat. I tend to prefer afternoons as its a lot quieter and empty. Having a casera is the best. I definitely recommend going to this market, so fun and such a wide variety of products. The best!! Also great for buying cleaned fresh fish.

Delicious fresh fruits and vegetables, use the secret word “casita” while shopping :) call the sellers as casita and ask what you need!

A throwback to 20th century. Reminder to how was it like to buy your groceries and there is even people who can carry your goods. Weekends are car-free days.

Best local market. You can be tired due to high altitude. Going to market is like hiking. 😂

Green market. Fruit and vegetables mostly. A good part of local market to find fruit, vegetables, fish and egg. I enjoyed my time exploring it. During weekend it even gets bigger and more crowded

This is one of the most genuine experiences you will have in La Paz. The market is enormous, outdoor and indoor shops and kiosks, literally on the street, selling everything you will ever imagine. The market is not organized, there are no sections, and the best way to find what you will need is either by asking or walking up and down. People are very friendly and sweet, there is no risk whatsoever.

Typical market with lots of different things for sale. Congested and difficult to navigate.

Best food market in the city. Mercado is barely completely empty after 5p.m

Plenty of groceries to choose from; mostly all kinds of fresh vegetables, but also assorted meats, sausages, and dairy products. It is not possible, however, to get in with a car or taxi cab, and the unevenness of the terrain makes it impossible to use a shopping cart or any other wheeled device, so it's a good idea to use a backpack.

The local fruits & vegetables market in La Paz. Each street is specialized in one single fruit or vegetable. It is nice to walk there any grab something.
