My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Borgo Cà dei Sospiri and cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed ourselves! The property is beautiful. The staff is friendly and super attentive. The food was wonderful! The breakfast options were fresh and plentiful, the lunch offered many options, and the dinner offerings were local and authentic! We also enjoy the wine recommendations that were made to pair with our meals! The pool water had to be the cleanest we have seen in the many places that we have visited. Absolutely crystal clear and equally refreshing. The hotel staff was very responsive. They answered all of our questions pre-trip and even arranged for a private taxi. They also responded and provided directions on our return trips as we ventured into Venice. The property was a very easy 25-minute train wide into Venice and they offered shuttles to and from the local train station that was only 5 minutes away! We recommend Virgo without reservations and we will be returning in the future. It is a wonderful respite from all the busyness that is Venice.

An absolutely stunning hotel, we were delighted with our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, spoke great English too which was good for us! We ate in the restaurant on our first night and it was delicious. Very easy location for day trips into Venice, we walked the 20 mins to the station and a short train ride into Venice S.Lucia, but the hotel also offers a shuttle to the station if you don’t want to walk. The whole stay felt very luxurious but also incredibly relaxed and welcoming. We would definitely stay again.

This place is truly delightful.I think they undersell themselves on the website.I was grateful of the previous review because I then rang the hotel to get anairport transfer arranged. Doing it this way costs about half the price of an airport taxi. (cost 35 €) They also have a cheap shuttle to and from the local station. (5€ plus 7.60 for train, return). Trains run to /from Venice until quite late. We had a twin room, room 336, which was ideal for two friends sharing as it has a natural half height wall between the beds lending some privacy and snore barrier! Spacious, clean, friendly, with great bar food at normal UK prices just 8mins walk away. Bilingual staff.

Staff were extremely helpful when my flight was delayed by 7 hours meaning I arrived in the middle of the night. Room large and clean and staff helped arrange a shuttle to the local train station in the morning. Check out is also 12pm which is great.

Great hotel for kids. We stayed here on route to Austria and arrived late. The restaurant had just closed the kitchen but reopened to make us some pasta. You don’t get that sort of service in most hotels. We had a nice room and enjoyed the breakfast too. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful Hotel. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. The staff made our stay memorable in so many ways, not least by making us feel like family rather than paying guests. The room we were given at first wasn't suitable as we needed a twin, not double room. It was quickly sorted, was very clean and spacious, the bathroom sparkling and the beds confortable. Breakfast was an eclectic mix of foods, something for every palate. The choices of evening meal was plentiful...just a pity I couldn't try everything. The pasta was so fresh, the meats beautifully cooked and seasoned and the desserts to die for. We did use the pool, it was so clean and clear and refreshing to swim in. The hotel has an extremely reasonably priced shuttle bus to the train station where access into Venice is but a short train ride away (daily rates for tickets for 2 people was €14.70 return) My only warning is - if you go in September bring your bug spray, it's mosquito season

The 4 star hotel was perfect for our stay, the room, the food, the pool, the hotel itself were all wonderful. The service at the desk was excellent, Natasha was the receptionist, who could not be more helpful. The trip to and from Venice from the hotel and back was really easy as the hotel had a private car to hire as and when we required it to the station. Mid September was also the best time to go as it was fairly quiet. Thank you and we would happily return there.

Staff so helpful, very reasonably priced, rooms are large and clean, bathrooms are modern, pool is a lovely addition, exactly what you need after a cancelled flight! The staff made me a restaurant reservation quick and easy, food was slightly expensive but so yummy!! In that case, you could say it was worth the cost! The location is a little bit in the middle of nowhere, if travelling by bus, it took me almost 2h door to door because of the awkward bus timings! Cab is about 15 mins drive straight from the airport, but the bus is 7€ compared to a taxi that’s 50€, I wasn’t complaining too much… breakfast to be tried first thing tomorrow, but I’m sure it’ll be great!
